Destroying My Own World

Chapter 318: The Five Sinners.

Mykel was crossing his legs and staring out the plane's window that was about to land. He was deep in thought about the achievements and the Awakeners or Gifted that received such blessings.

As far as he had observed, Zachary possessed a skill that belonged to Jeanne. The skill that made him stronger when he was alone, and that was enough to convince him. Not only that, Javelin possessed Rozan's magic insight and how she manipulated her surroundings just like Rozan did.

As far as Mykel had dug into some information related to the five leaders on the Isola Key Island, each of them was quite similar to his team. The Serpent, The Tyrant, The Salvage, The Specter, and The Labyrinth each represented some of his team.

"We have arrived," Zachary said as he fixed his mouth mask and looked outside the window. "I don't believe in ghosts, but this place looks like it's haunted," he added.

Mykel walked out of the plane and saw how gloomy and eerie the island was. There was nothing but deep forest around the mountain and how quiet it was during the night. He could see a lot of bats and owls flying around, hunting for food.

There were no guards around the island, but that didn't mean there wasn't anyone to prevent the criminals from leaving. If those criminals were strong, especially the five leaders, that meant there was someone strong enough to stop them from leaving.

"I was thinking who would be crazy enough to come here, but now that I see the Hero of Verdentia in front of me, I can only wonder," An old man wearing a white suit and a hat to cover his long gray hair said. "Your visit only gives me anxiety not knowing your reason to come here," he added. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

Jordan Lokes, the warden of the Isola Key Island for more than two decades, was the man with an amazing feat. It was a surprise when Mykel saw Jordan get a few achievements for clearing the rift that appeared on the island.

"I'm here to accompany Her Majesty's closest aid, and that's all I'm here for," Zachary answered. "If I were you, I would mind my manners," he warned.

Jordan raised his eyebrows and he was quite surprised when Zachary acknowledged the man beside him. He didn't know anything about Mykel or who he was, but at that moment he understood why Zachary said that. He could feel the unnerving presence around Mykel and his eyes who had seen everything and survived.

"Since I'm having important guests, why don't we get ourselves comfortable? I have a few drinks that should be enough for the three of us," Jordan suggested.

"That would be great," Mykel smiled and nodded his head.

They were enjoying the homemade whiskey made of the beast's and monster's body parts. It was so strong that a normal human being would fail their liver in a single gulp of that drink.

Jordan explained the situation on the island and what happened to the island after the rift appeared. It was beyond Zachary's imagination because inmates and Jordan cleared the eleventh rift two days ago. They were powerful enough to do it on their own without Mykel's involvement, but they lost almost half of the population on the island because of it.

"What's the demon's name that you guys defeated?" Zachary asked as he started to feel dizzy after emptying the first glass.

"Trixter, a demon who killed at least a hundred of us with a single whiplash of her whip. She was terrifying, and I'm still having chills knowing that we brought her body back with us here," Jordan answered.

Mykel and Zachary made the same expression, their eyebrows were raised, and looked at Jordan. One was afraid, the other one was excited, and they both knew where the body was after they found out the eerie atmosphere underneath them.

"Why did you bring the body back here?" Zachary furrowed his eyebrows with a confused look.

"What else do you think? Those savages were trying to kill each other after we defeated Trixter to decide who would get the body. That's why, I'm the one who took the body and decided who would get it tomorrow in a duel," Jordan answered and poured another glass for Zachary.

"Can you show me the body?" Mykel asked as he emptied the glass for the fifth time.

Jordan was amazed that Mykel still could talk after drinking that much. He then nodded his head and led Mykel and Zachary to the basement where the body was kept.

The body was preserved and cleaned which made Zachary realize how beautiful the demon was. Her long black wavy hair, her tall and slim body like a supermodel, and her red lips were so tempting. But the moment he saw the black wings on her back, he remembered what kind of a calamity the demon was.

"A whip made of backbone," Mykel chuckled as he looked at the whip around Trixter's body. "How nostalgic," he mumbled.

Mykel approached the body and put his hand on the chest. He took the essence of Trixter, or Zherlthsh from her body, showing a blinding light orb in his hand.

Zachary remembered what happened to Sinestra and how it looked the same as the one he had seen back then. The orb that Mykel took and kept to himself, wondering what it was and why he needed it.

"What's that?" Jordan asked and looked at the crimson light orb in Mykel's hand.

"It's none of your concern," Mykel answered as he watched Zherlthsh's body crack and crumble.

The body was like a broken and shattered statue, and it shocked Jordan and Zachary. Jordan started to panic because the body was supposed to be the prize for the duel tomorrow. If the prize disappeared, that would enrage the five leaders and he wouldn't be able to control them anymore.

"You don't have to panic because the reason why I'm here is to bring those five back with me," Mykel said before Jordan could utter his complaint. "You can summon them all tomorrow and I'll handle the rest," he added.

Jordan was still in disbelief, and then he looked at Zachary to ask for his opinion. Zachary nodded his head, telling Jordan that it would be best to follow Mykel's words. With heavyheartedness, Jordan nodded his head and agreed with Mykel's words and then enjoyed the rest of the night drinking with them.

The morning came and the only one that survived the drinking night was Mykel. Both Zachary and Jordan passed out and barely finished their tenth glass. It was a unique taste and Mykel thought he would make something similar later on, a drink that only he could enjoy.

The sirene sounded, waking both Jordan and Zachary and making them jolt from the table. The sirene was a sign that inmates were approaching the main building that was right on the edge of the island where the inmates had to go through a jungle to get there.

Mykel was already at the top of the wall above the gate, and he saw thousands of inmates standing in front of the gate. There were five people standing at the front, the five leaders of each faction.

Sabel Salvage, a man with dyed red messy hair with his lazy heterochromia eyes where one was blue and the other was red. The red eye, he took it from a beast that had long-range vision more than an eagle and pale white skin that looked unnatural. He wore a lab dirty lab suit with dried blood that turned the white suit into brown.

Sophia Serpent, a woman with long white hair and her eyes were all white because she was blind, and her sense came from her skin and her split tongue that she cut herself just like a snake. She wore white trousers and a long ragged white fur coat with only a white bandage that covered her chest.

Duncan Labyrinth, a big muscular bald man with scars all over his face, more than Zachary. He only wore a tank top and his knuckles were as big as meatballs that could bend a wall of thick steel. He replaced his teeth with gold that was as sharp as a razor that could bite off a human's hand in a single bite.

Felix Specter, a skinny tall man with a black cloak that covered his whole body and his long messy hair that covered his whole face. His presence was almost unnoticed even though he was standing out with the other Sinners next to him. The fact he was avoided by the other four implied that he was quite dangerous to be around.

Victoria Tyrant, a woman who looked like a fallen noble with her elegant dress and a transparent cape on her back. Her long light purple hair that touched the ground and her striking bright blue eyes made her look like pure blood. She was called Elestria of the Isola Key Island because she was as dangerous and feared as Elestria and she was from an aristocratic family from Faelethria Kingdom.

"What an interesting bunch," Mykel said with a cigarette in his mouth.
