Chapter 3: A New Beginning
Ashton sat in silence, allowing himself time to process his situation. He had reincarnated into this body, into this world—Aurora. The reality was still sinking in, but one thing was clear: if he wanted to survive, he needed to understand this world and grow stronger.
"Power… only power can grant me the peace I seek."
He knew the truth. In a world ruled by strength, there was no true peace for the weak. If he wanted to live freely, he had to become strong enough that no one could threaten him.
He turned toward the mirror again, studying his reflection. His appearance was striking—purple hair, deep violet eyes, and delicate, almost ethereal features. Though undeniably handsome, his body was too slender, too fragile. At 5'11", his frame lacked the muscle and endurance needed to thrive in a world of magic and monsters.
"My constitution is weak." He frowned. "I need to change that. But how?"
He had to figure out a way to strengthen his body, but first, he needed information. He knew almost nothing about Aurora—its power system, its history, or the rules that governed society.
"If I'm going to survive here, I need knowledge."
And so, his first goal was set: learn everything about this world.
Ashton let out a sigh as he sat on the edge of his bed, his mind racing with thoughts. He had no money.
From the fragmented memories of this body's past and his own exploration of the internet through his phone, he had managed to piece together a basic understanding of Aurora and how its world functioned.
Aurora was a vast, technologically advanced world infused with magic. Society was structured around strength and talent, and those who awakened powerful abilities had limitless opportunities. Magic academies, guilds, and corporations sought out gifted individuals, providing them with wealth, status, and influence. Meanwhile, the weak were left to struggle for survival.
The economy revolved around magic crystals, potions, enchanted artifacts, and high-tech enhancements, blending both magic and futuristic advancements. Artificial Intelligence, holograms, and genetic modifications coexisted with mages, warriors, and magical beasts.
"This world… it's incredible."
But excitement aside, he had a problem—he was broke.
The original Ashton had barely survived by juggling multiple part-time jobs, struggling to afford rent and food. With the awakening ceremony only a week away, he had little time to waste.
"I need a plan. First, money. Second, training. Third, my awakening."
He clenched his fists. He refused to remain weak. If he wanted to thrive in this world, he needed to start now.
