Chapter 4: The history of Aurora
A thousand years ago, Aurora was just an ordinary planet, much like Earth. It had cities, civilizations, and technology steadily advancing. However, everything changed when destruction struck.
Portals—mysterious rifts in space—opened across the world, unleashing monsters and demons. These creatures wreaked havoc, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. The planet fell into chaos, its nations collapsing under the overwhelming threat.
But just as humanity faced annihilation, something miraculous happened.
Mana descended upon Aurora.
It was as if some higher power had intervened, giving humanity a fighting chance. Mana awakened abilities within people, allowing them to stand against the monstrous invaders. But this power came at a cost—Aurora itself changed.
The planet expanded, becoming twenty times larger than its original size.
New races were discovered—elves, dwarves, dragons, and others—some emerging from within the planet, others appearing through the portals.
These races, once strangers to humanity, fought alongside them against demons and monsters. Over time, they integrated into society, intermingling and creating new hybrid races such as shapeshifters, dark elves, and beastkin.
Aurora in the Present Day
Even after a thousand years, the war against demons and monsters continues. Aurora is now split in two:
1. Half of the world is covered dangerous monsters and controlled by demons—a lawless, nightmarish territory where even the strongest hesitate to venture.
2. The other half remains under the protection of living species, surrounded by massive barriers and advanced defenses.
Despite the constant danger, civilization has thrived. Mana, magical crystals, and ancient artifacts have led to groundbreaking advancements in both technology and magic. The old ways of life—traditional businesses, agriculture, and normal jobs—have been overshadowed by an entirely new economy, focused on:
Production of mana pills and magical herbs for cultivation and healing.
Forging weapons and armor from ores harvested in dungeons and monster territories.
Hunting and capturing powerful beasts to extract materials and resources.
