Don't want you

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Midnight Chase

....

Royal Gathering:

In the Valley of Kings, a grand assembly convened within the palace walls. Royals, princes, and princesses from the realm gathered, their finely attired presence filling the halls. Among them was Iras, the esteemed General of the Valley of Kings. Notably absent was Hylos, who had never been inclined towards such formal gatherings.

Seated upon his throne, the King presided alongside the Queen, with Iras standing before them, having bowed in respect. The other Valley of Kings' royals flanked him. A sudden stir swept through the assembly as a dignified, crimson-clad man appeared, his piercing gaze locking onto Iras as he approached.

"It's been far too long since we last met, General," the man's smooth voice conveyed a deep affection, his eyes gleaming with delight at being reunited with Iras.

Iras responded warmly, "The pleasure is mine as well, my friend Murako." His joyful smile underscored the depth of their bond.

Royal Inquiry:

The assembly fell silent, awaiting the King's words. With his gaze fixed on Iras, the King spoke, "General Iras, how is your relationship with Duke Hylos?"

Murako's eyes widened in surprise at the King's question, and he swiftly turned to Iras. "General Iras, what relationship is the King referring to?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.

Iras remained speechless, but before he could respond, Aya intervened, "Crown Prince' General Iras my brother married the Grand Duke of the Valley of Kings' Hylos, because they love each other, and the King gave his blessing." Aya's words hung in the air as she glanced at Murako.

Murako's face fell, his eyes clouding over as if he had been struck. The room remained silent, with all eyes fixed on Murako's stunned expression.

Heartfelt Confrontation:

The royal assembly concluded, and the nobles began to disperse. Murako followed Iras, his voice laced with melancholy. "General Iras, I want to accompany you to meet that grand duke myself."

Iras turned' and Murako continued", his eyes welling up with tears. "I'll once confess to you that I love you , but you rejected me because we're both men. Yet, I've now discovered you're married to a duke I've never met."

Murako's voice cracked as he struggled to contain his emotions. "Why did you settle for someone else? Was it because I'm not enough? Did you not love me enough?" The anguish in Murako's eyes pierced Iras's heart, leaving him speechless.

Unexpected Encounter:

Iras grasped Murako's arm and said, "Let's not dwell on the past, Crown Prince." Iras turned away, and Murako followed him, boarding the large silver carriage.

Upon arriving at Iras's palace, they disembarked and walked toward the entrance. Murako glanced around, seemingly searching for something. Iras instructed his servant to attend to Murako and escort him to the guest room.

As Murako turned, his gaze fell upon a figure standing amidst a beautiful arrangement of white flowers. The man wore radiant white attire, with long, curly hair and piercing golden eyes. He was tall and majestic.

Murako's heart sank as he beheld Hylos's ethereal beauty. He had never imagined that Iras's partner would be so captivating, like a divine being. Murako's anger flared as he glared at Hylos.

Hylos, oblivious to Murako's animosity, smiled warmly, his eyes sparkling with kindness. The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Murako's jealousy simmered, his heart heavy with the realization that he had lost Iras to this enchanting individual.

Jealous Confrontation:

Murako approached Iras and abruptly embraced him, hoping to provoke jealousy in Hylos. However, when he glanced at Hylos, he was taken aback. Hylos seemed unfazed, his gaze fixed on Murako with a hint of amusement, his lips curled into a smirk.

Murako's anger flared, and he felt an overwhelming urge to confront Hylos physically. But before he could act, Iras grasped his arm, restraining him.

"He doesn't have any feelings for me, Crown Prince, so let's not make him uncomfortable," Iras said, turning away and entering his chambers.

Murako's eyes lingered on Hylos, who remained impassive, his enigmatic smile still etched on his face. The air was thick with tension as Murako's jealousy and frustration simmered, his heart heavy with the realization that Hylos seemed utterly indifferent to his presence.

Hylos walked slowly, his hand casually resting on his hip, as he greeted Murako with a charming smile. "My dear Crown Prince, it's lovely to have you visit my palace."

Murako's expression turned cold, his voice laced with arrogance. "I'll be the next king, and no one can stop me from going wherever I please, Duke Hylos."

Hylos's laughter echoed through the hall, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ah, Crown Prince of the Valley of Kings, so eager, but don't rush just yet. You might regret it in the end."

Hylos's words were laced with a subtle warning, his tone calm and collected, but Murako's anger and frustration only intensified, his eyes narrowing into a glare. The air was thick with tension as the two men engaged in a silent power struggle, their words dripping with veiled threats and unspoken intentions.

Secret Plot:

In the Queen's secret chamber, three men clad in black attire, ready for battle, stood before her. The Queen, positioned at the center, spoke with an air of determination.

"I want you to carry out my orders meticulously: rescue the Grand Duke from General Iras's palace. This is my chance to claim Hylos for myself...ah... hahahah!" The Queen's laughter echoed through the room, her eyes gleaming with sinister intent.

The three men nodded in unison, their faces expressionless, as they accepted the Queen's command. With their mission clear, they bowed and departed, disappearing into the shadows, ready to execute their plan.

Unbeknownst to Hylos, the Queen's scheme was set in motion, threatening to upend his life and entangle him in a web of royal intrigue.

Midnight Chase:

Night had fallen, and Iras was engrossed in reading within his chambers. Suddenly, thoughts of Hylos invaded his mind, prompting him to rush out and head towards Hylos's quarters.

Upon entering Hylos's room, Iras found it shrouded in darkness. He approached the lamp to light it and was startled to see a figure standing by the window, preparing to jump out. The figure clutched a blanket, intending to use it as a makeshift rope.

As Iras's eyes adjusted to the dim light, he recognized the figure as Hylos. With a burst of speed, Iras sprinted towards Hylos, but the latter had already leaped out the window, laughing triumphantly.

"Goodbye, my beloved General Iras... hahaha!" Hylos's voice echoed through the air as he clung to the blanket, suspended in mid-air.

Iras hesitated for a moment, contemplating cutting the blanket, but his concern for Hylos's safety stayed his hand. Instead, he leaped out the window, determined to catch Hylos.

The two men crashed to the ground, Hylos crying out in pain as Iras landed on top of him. Hylos pushed Iras away, scrambling to his feet to make a hasty escape.

However, Iras quickly regained his footing and gave chase, his speed surpassing Hylos's. He soon caught up to Hylos, embracing him tightly to prevent his escape.

The two men tumbled to the ground, rolling around in a fierce struggle. "You beast, let me go! Why are you doing this to me, Iras?" Hylos exclaimed, exhausted from the chase.

Iras's voice was laced with desperation. "Stop struggling! Just wait... when the King finds out, you'll be put to death!" Iras's words hung in the air as the two men lay panting, their chests heaving with exhaustion.
