Don't want you

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The hidden Jealousy

Bustling Marketplace and Royal Intrigue:

In a vibrant marketplace in Egypt, merchants and vendors touted their wares, drawing in a crowd of eager shoppers. Royalty and commoners alike mingled, browsing the colorful stalls.

Crown Prince Murako paused to admire the merchandise, his eyes landing on a stunning silver trinket that sparkled in the sunlight. He immediately thought of Iras, envisioning how perfectly the ornament would suit him. Without hesitation, Murako purchased the item and carefully placed it in a small, exquisite golden box, his face lighting up with satisfaction.

Meanwhile, in the hidden chambers of the palace, the Queen seethed with rage upon learning that her three loyal servants had been killed by Iras. Her plans to claim Hylos for herself seemed to be foiled at every turn, with Iras consistently thwarting her efforts.

The Queen's face twisted in frustration, her hopes dwindling. She had underestimated Iras's devotion to Hylos and his determination to protect him. The Queen's schemes had been exposed, and her loyal servants had paid the ultimate price. Her anger and disappointment simmered, fueling her resolve to devise a new plan to capture Hylos and eliminate Iras once and for all.

Royal Encounter:

In the gardens of Iras's palace, Hylos strolled, admiring the vibrant flowers and inhaling their sweet fragrance. The grand entrance gates swung open, and Crown Prince Murako's majestic carriage entered, accompanied by his attendants.

As Murako stepped out of the carriage, the atmosphere shifted, and the air seemed to thicken with tension. Hylos stood calmly, dressed in radiant white attire, while Murako wore a bold red and gold ensemble, his expression stern.

Before either could speak, Iras appeared, striding towards them with an air of authority. "Welcome, Crown Prince. It's an honor to receive you," Iras said, his smile courteous.

Hylos's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on Murako. The Crown Prince approached Iras, presenting him with a small, exquisite box. "A gift for you, my brave General," Murako said, his smile charming.

Iras's face lit up as he accepted the gift. Meanwhile, Hylos seemed determined not to be outdone. He retrieved a golden necklace from his pocket and fastened it around Iras's neck, his voice low and seductive. "My gift to you, my husband, the General of Egypt."

Hylos's gaze locked onto Murako's, his eyes glinting with a challenge. Murako's face darkened, his eyes flashing with anger and jealousy. Iras, caught in the middle, looked taken aback, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Tense Dinner Gathering:

The scorching sun beat down, casting a fiery glow over the scene. Four men sat around a grand, laden table, surrounded by attendants. An uncomfortable silence hung in the air, as if the diners were uneasy in each other's presence.

Iras sat at the center, with Murako to his right and Hylos to his left, occupying an ornate, gleaming chair that seemed out of place. The trio remained quiet, until Iras broke the silence.

"Let's eat while the food is still hot," Iras said, taking a bite.

Murako swiftly moved his chair closer to Iras and began feeding him, his voice charming. "Try this; it's your favorite, isn't it?" His gaze drifted toward Hylos, as if intentionally provoking him.

Hylos's expression darkened, and he pulled his chair closer to Iras, feeding him as well. "If it's your favorite, then it's as delicious as I am – flawless, my General," Hylos said, his voice seductive, as he brushed his fingers against Iras's lips, wiping away a crumb.

Hylos's eyes locked onto Murako's, his gaze teasing, as he licked his finger. Murako's face contorted in rage and jealousy, his hand clenched into a fist, which he slammed onto the table.

Iras stood, his voice firm. "That's enough!" He stormed out of the dining area, leaving the others behind.

Rabik, who had been quietly observing the exchange, burst into laughter and continued eating, while Murako and Hylos glared at each other, their animosity palpable.

Confrontation and Confession:

The dining area fell silent, with only the sound of Rabik's utensils clinking against his plate breaking the stillness. He continued eating, seemingly oblivious to the tension between the other two men.

Murako's voice rose in anger, his words directed at Hylos. "You don't love Iras, so why did you do that?"

Hylos turned away, then turned back to face Murako, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I never said I didn't love him, but I also never said I did. However, I didn't say I don't like him either," Hylos said, his voice calm, as he sipped his wine, his demeanor relaxed.

Murako's face darkened, his anger boiling over. He stood, his chair scraping against the floor, and stormed out of the dining area, leaving Hylos and Rabik behind.

Rabik looked up, his eyes meeting Hylos's, and shrugged. "I think you won this round," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice, before returning to his meal.

Hylos chuckled, his eyes glinting with mirth, and raised his cup in a silent toast to himself.
