Douluo: Becoming a God by Relying on my Enemies

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Life or Death!

The middle-aged man known as Supervisor Ao was the one Yun Feng had previously contacted. He was lenient with Yun Feng, not only because of his background but also because Yun Feng could bring tangible profits. When Yun Feng had demonstrated his abilities earlier, he had sparred evenly with a Soul Emperor without revealing his full power, which was impressive.

Seeing Yun Feng with the Shrek team, Supervisor Ao made a connection. "Yun Feng, is this Shrek team the new group registered today?"

Yun Feng smiled, replying, "Yes, they're my classmates. Why?"

Supervisor Ao hesitated before saying, "Nothing much, just a reminder that your classmates and Kuang Xi are opponents in the arena. Any grudges can be settled there."

"Kuang Xi, if I catch you causing trouble here again, don't blame me for being harsh. This is your last warning."

"Yes, yes, it won't happen again," Kuang Xi replied, his large, muscular frame incongruously sheepish as he glanced at Yun Feng, immediately lowering his head.

Despite his fear of Yun Feng, Kuang Xi couldn't resist taunting the others. "Since you know I'm your opponent, you better watch out!"

Yun Feng laughed at Kuang Xi's bravado. "Are you sure you want to die?"

Hearing this, Kuang Xi fled like a rabbit, not daring to utter another word. The killing intent Yun Feng had displayed was no joke, especially with Supervisor Ao's deferential attitude toward him.

After Kuang Xi left, Supervisor Ao gave Yun Feng a serious look and addressed the Shrek team, "Don't be fooled by appearances. Kuang Xi is the captain of the Kuang Zhan team, all above level 35. They've registered for seven days and achieved a seven-win streak at the Soul Elder level. If they reach ten wins, they'll advance to Bronze Spirit Level."

"Even among level 30 teams, they stand out. Be cautious. If you're outmatched, surrender immediately. The Kuang Zhan team fights to kill or maim."

His words were meant for Yun Feng and his team, showing little faith in their chances against such formidable opponents. After speaking, he left, leaving the Shrek team to prepare.

The other soul masters in the room avoided eyeing them, and Ma Hongjun was visibly displeased with Supervisor Ao's skepticism. "I didn't expect our first team battle to be against such tough opponents. Life or death, huh? We'll see who's left standing."

Zhu Zhuqing, more level-headed, responded, "Kuang Xi isn't simple."

Ning Rongrong nodded, adding, "Don't underestimate them. Remember Supervisor Ao's first warning, not to be deceived by appearances. Kuang Xi isn't as rough as he seems."

"Leading a team to seven victories isn't just about strength. He's likely testing us."

Her insight surprised everyone, given Ning Rongrong's usual demeanor. She noticed their surprise and frowned. "What are you looking at? Keep staring, and you're asking for it."

Her familiar tone relaxed the group. It was the Ning Rongrong they knew.

Oscar, agreeing with Ning Rongrong's analysis, added, "If that's the case, we need to be cautious. If things go south, surrendering is the best option. Safety first."

Yun Feng stepped in, "Their advantage lies in higher levels. Kuang Xi's martial spirit is likely a rhino, a defensive power type. Avoid direct confrontation and target their weaker members. Tang San, handle Kuang Xi. As a control-type soul master, you're best suited for this."

Tang San grimaced. Despite being a control-type, he was still a Great Soul Master, facing a daunting task against such opponents. Nonetheless, he nodded, albeit reluctantly.

The Shrek team had half an hour to rest before their match in section thirteen's team battle. They exited the waiting area alongside the Kuang Zhan team, finally seeing their opponents.

Kuang Xi led, his massive frame intimidating. Behind him were two middle-aged men, likely brothers, with ordinary builds and somber expressions. The lone woman, flamboyant and heavily made-up, wore revealing clothes—a strapless top and a sheer skirt hinting at her figure.

She winked at Yun Feng, who ignored her, uninterested in such superficial beauty. Yun Feng wasn't competing; he was merely observing. He turned away and headed to the spectator area.
