Oscar stood close to Ning Rongrong, having already distributed his sausages as per Yun Feng's instructions.

"Why are you so close?" Ning Rongrong whispered.

Oscar, with uncharacteristic bravado, replied, "In case anyone attacks you, I'll be your human shield."

Under normal circumstances, Ning Rongrong might have been annoyed, but she simply retorted, "You should mind your own business!"

Having two support-type soul masters was advantageous, but it left Shrek with only five combatants against a team all above level 35. The pressure was palpable, and Ning Rongrong, with her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, was an obvious target for the opposing team, as her presence could boost her team's strength by thirty percent.

The host confirmed both teams were ready, with Dai Mubai and Kuang Xi signaling their preparedness.

"Countdown begins in five seconds. Five, four, three, two, one. Team battle, fourth match, start."

The countdown, absent in one-on-one and two-on-two matches, allowed soul masters to activate their martial spirits without haste, ensuring a fair start and adding spectacle for the audience.

"Brothers, activate your martial spirits. Prepare for battle!" Dai Mubai shouted, his muscles bulging as he unleashed his White Tiger martial spirit.

Simultaneously, the opponents activated their martial spirits, filling the arena with dazzling light as their forms transformed.

Yun Feng understood why audiences adored team battles; the simultaneous activation of fourteen martial spirits, with their brilliant soul rings, was a breathtaking sight.

Shrek's three Soul Elders—Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Xiao Wu—boasted identical soul ring configurations: two yellow, one purple. The four others each had two hundred-year soul rings.

In contrast, Kuang Zhan's soul rings varied. Kuang Xi had a white, yellow, and purple—standard ten-year, hundred-year, and thousand-year combination. The two middle-aged men had one white and two yellow, considerably weaker.

Surprisingly, the seductive woman had the best configuration, matching Shrek's Soul Elders with two yellow and one purple ring. The remaining three, all above level 30, had varying configurations, with the unassuming older man also sporting a thousand-year ring similar to Kuang Xi's.

The stark contrast between Shrek's uniform rings and Kuang Zhan's varied ones was evident. Kuang Xi, despite not probing Shrek's strength earlier, was aware of Yun Feng's capabilities. The presence of three Soul Elders with top-tier configurations surprised but prepared him.

Fortunately for Kuang Xi, not all of Shrek's members were Soul Elders; otherwise, he might have considered surrendering outright.
