Luke stared at the boy who would become the most powerful Pro Hero in the fight against All For One.

Seeing as Midoriya was now, it was hard to believe that he was the successor of One For All.

Ever since it was decided that he would be joining UA High, Luke had been looking forward to coming face to face with Midoriya.

Because, unknown even to the boy and All Might, only Luke knew about Vestiges right now.

One For All was a quirk that was passed down by its predecessors.

It also carried the Quirk originally belonging to those people along with it, becoming stronger with every successor.

Izuku was the ninth and would be the last user of One For All.

The mysterious thing was that the Quirk also carried shades, or vestiges, of all previous users.

Within One For All was a subconscious realm where the prior users could manifest, as fragments of their very consciousnesses were engraved into this Quirk.

Originally, it was theorized that Quirk Factors contained the raw spirits, or the individuality, of their users, which then merged into One For All.

However, the validity of this statement was brought into question when Quirkless All Might also became a vestige later.

As a Quirk Scientist, who became one of the most prominent researchers in the field of Quirk Factors, Luke had studied both One For All and All For One, and the concept of Vestiges, in depth.

It was only when he died and then met Mr. Fool that he learned the true probable cause.

The Quirk Factors were nothing but a physical manifestation of the Spirit Particles of an individual.

So, even though a Quirkless person didn't have Quirk Factors, he would still possess Spirit Particles and, to some extent, could become a vestige, as with the case of All Might in the future.

So, yes. Luke was very curious.

He wanted to see these vestiges… using Spirit Vision.

Izuku was still smiling, feeling odd as the huge boy stared down at him, when a chill ran down his spine. It was like a beast was eying him from the darkness, about to rip his throat off.

For Luke, the world lit up with colors.

And what he saw left him dumbfounded.

Specks of golden light were only glowing within Midoriya, but in his immediate surroundings, cloaking him inside a golden cowled robe.

Eight blobs of golden light pulsed in his heart, with different rhythms.

It was as if each blob of light had its heartbeat.

The Vestiges!

However, this was still within Luke's expectations.

What he didn't expect was still a color other than gold…

Within those specks of golden light, numbering barely in hundreds, perhaps, were blue specks, all revolving around the vestiges.

Luke felt like someone was pushing him away.

He was falling into an abyss… so deep that Midoriya, standing right in front of him, felt like he was miles away, going farther and farther.

[CANCEL IT!!!]

Jolted by Miss Justice's scream, as the notification flashed in front of his eyes, Luke snapped his eyes shut, canceling Spirit Vision.

With a thud, his knees struck the floor.

He could feel them — tiny flesh protrusions bubbling under his shirt.

Taking the help of Cogitation, Luke took several deep breaths, his eyes itching and his ears ringing in pain.

When normality returned to him, both Nyx and Midoriya were shouting at him.

Luke stood up, shaking his head. When he opened his eyes, they had gone bloodier than red.

"Oi!" Nyx cawed. "You scared me to death!!"

Midoriya looked worried as well.

"It's alright…"

Miss Justice… Luke asked, a dreadful feeling lingering in his mind. Did you see…?

[

Yes…

It was the same, Blessed.

It was the exact spirituality that I had perceived from the blue, supermassive black hole.

Something's wrong…

We never saw these blue spirit particles in your father…

]

But Luke realized something that Miss Justice didn't.

We never saw these blue spirit particles in my father, Luke told Miss Justice, but I also didn't have Spirit Vision before using Dream Walk on him on the night of my regression. And then…

[… then your father never received any dream revelation… Curious.]

It was indeed curious.

Logic stated that Reijirou should have received a dream revelation using the Soothsayer about the Meta Puppets' attack. But he didn't.

The Soothsayer Quirk hadn't worked ever since Luke's first sight of the blue supermassive black hole.

As Luke rubbed his eyes, Ochaco Uraraka also joined them. Meanwhile, probably hearing Midoriya and Nyx's shouts, Ida opened the class doors.

He chatted with Midoriya about the Rescue Points, not recognizing Luke at all.

But someone did recognize Luke — two students, in fact.

"Hey…" Momo had walked out to the front, seeing Luke at the door. "Congratulations on securing first place in the Entrance Exam."

Silence.

They all stared at Luke, including Bakugo, who had his feet up on the bench and was eying him and Midoriya with a murderous gaze.

With Luke's strategy, securing points by both destroying robots and rescuing candidates, he had involuntarily outdone himself, securing over 90 Points in the Entrance Exam.

Of course, his father had not been pleased about such a feat.

But this wasn't the end of the students' shocks.

"You are Renji Saionji?!" Ida asked Luke. Then he looked at Momo. "You two know each other?"

"Yes," Momo nodded flatly. "He was at my birthday party last year. You must have heard of the Meta Puppets incident, right?"

Everyone hurriedly nodded.

"The Meta Dog and Meta Cat — both amplified…."

Before Midoriya could ramble on, Momo pointed her chin at Luke. "He awakened his Quirk in that incident. He had jumped off the 43rd floor to save a boy. He was still Quirkless then."

Bakugo lifted his legs and stood straight, his eyes going wide.

On the other hand, Midoriya stared at Luke, stunned as well. "… you too…?" he mumbled under his breath.

"… lying low, my feathery ass…" Nyx whispered in Luke's ears, making his lips twitch.

"Cough!" Luke cleared his throat, the eyes making him feel a bit funny. "Just call me Luke. I heard you are a recommended student, Momo. Congratulations!"

Smack!

Nyx slapped the back of Luke's head. "… idiot!"

Luke found Momo and others staring at him blankly.

He had gone and done it again — calling her by her first name. Luke's face went red.

"It's alright," Momo said, brushing it off. Then, saying nothing else, she walked back to her seat.

"So…" Uraraka said, smiling wryly, "I wonder if it's just the entrance ceremony and orientation today. What do you think, which Pro Heroes will be teaching us?"

Suddenly, a voice came from behind.

"If you are just here to make friends, then pack up your stuff now."

They all turned around and saw a man's head coming out of a sleeping bag on the floor.

"Welcome to UA's Hero Course…" the man said, standing up and coming out of the sleeping bag. "… I'm your homeroom teacher — Shoto Aizawa."
