Dragon Ball: A Better Bulma

"I don't understand their obsession with fighting, can't they just coexist peacefully?" Oolong asked Chi-Chi, who was right next to him. 

"Both Goku and Bulma are people who aim high, they don't fight for the sake of it, it's more like a way to communicate and check the progress of their practice. Grandpa Gohan taught us that fighting for the sake of fighting can be good, but fighting for a reason, whatever it is, is the best," Chi-Chi explained not only to Oolong but to the other spectators. 

Doctor Norimaki as well as his wife and son were watching. They were all standing some distance away, facing the beach of the island. While they waited, Norimaki seemed to be preparing something.

"Seeing the speed with which Bulma was moving in her fight with Arale, I thought it would be good to create something that could slow down her movements, so I hope it works," said Doctor Norimaki, who was putting the finishing touches on his machine, which looked more like a camera... full of confusing attachments to the inexperienced. 

"Look! They're about to start," Arale pointed out, getting everyone to focus on the upcoming battle.

"When was the last time we fought, Goku?" asked Bulma, who was stretching before the fight began. 

However, she quickly realized that due to the changes in her body caused by puberty, she could no longer jump like she used to without certain things bouncing around and annoying her. 

"A year ago, we fought," Goku replied, wrapping his tail around his body. 

"Right, you ate the steak I had left at the end " Bulma looked at Goku angrily, causing the boy to scratch his neck as he smiled. 

"Because you didn't eat it! I thought you didn't want it, I was still hungry and..." Goku was silent as he had to put his arms on X to protect himself from a blow from Bulma. 

The air was pushed everywhere by the raised shock wave, Goku's feet slipped on the sand of the beach, and although unexpected, the boy was quite excited at this point. 

For the battle had begun!

Goku regained his balance before dodging a follow-up kick from Bulma, then responded with an elbow of his own, hitting Bulma's arm, who lifted him to protect herself. 

"You've gotten stronger, I just hope it doesn't get to you," Bulma instructed him before using her right knee to hit Goku in the chest. 

Goku reacted in time, placing his hands on Bulma's knee and using the force of the attack to propel himself up and turn his body to launch a kick right into Bulma's face. 

"With you constantly telling me not to be so confident and arrogant, how could I be?" complained Goku, his kick stopped by Bulma's hand grabbing his foot. 

Bulma turned her body, throwing Goku into the distance, but the Young Saiyan quickly spun in the air, using his tail to attack as Bulma stepped forward intending to continue to hit him, causing her to dodge. 

This evasive action on Bulma's part allowed Goku to land deftly on the sand of the beach, then he took several jumps backward, keeping his distance from Bulma, who smiled at him.

"I think it was in that fight a year ago that I discovered that you trained your tail with Grandpa Gohan to overcome your weakness," Bulma said with a touch of nostalgia before taking a fighting stance. 

"It's a very obvious weakness, and since it's just another limb, I had to eliminate that weakness," Goku replied before mimicking the same pose as Bulma.

The two stood still and stared at each other for a few moments before lunging at each other. To the untrained onlookers, they became a blur before meeting in the middle and clashing their fists.

Along with the roar of the clashing flesh, the sand on the beach was sent flying, and so began an exchange of blows between Bulma and Goku that moved across the beach at incredible speeds, only visible when there was a major impact between them.

"Good thing you installed that machine, dear. I really can't follow them with my eyes," said Midori Norimaki, watching the fight through a screen installed by Dr. Norimaki. 

"I told you, and it looks like they are getting faster and faster as time goes on. I will have to create iterations of this camera over time," Doctor Norimaki replied, watching the intense fight at normal speed through the monitor. 

"Chi-Chi, can you see them move?" asked Turbo Norimaki, noticing how Chi-Chi's eyes seemed to move quickly as she followed the fight between Bulma and Goku. 

"A little, but I rely more on my Ki sense, if you have training, you can do the same, Turbo," Chi-Chi replied, using not only her eyes to watch the fight, but also her perception. 

With that, she could see that although Bulma and Goku seemed to be on equal footing, it was more than obvious that the blue-haired girl was dominating the fight, increasing her power more and more to pressure the Young Saiyan who was gradually getting stronger. 

'Goku is getting stronger, I don't want him to leave me behind, but with magic.... I'll be able to support him,' Chi-Chi thought as he watched Goku finally get hit in the stomach by a powerful kick from Bulma, pushing him into a pile of rocks on the beach.

"Wow! What a blow!" Goku stepped out of the pile of rocks that had collapsed on him when his body had crashed into it a few seconds ago. 

Goku wiped the dust from his body while doing his best to recover the air that had been expelled from his lungs; Bulma, for her part, let her younger brother recover, this was a friendly fight, not a fight to the death, so she didn't keep attacking him.

"Just to bring you back to your senses, what's with yelling attacks in a serious fight?" asked Bulma, causing Goku to shake a little.

"It was just perfect timing! Besides, you yelled Kame Hame Ha when you took out that giant flying dinosaur," Goku replied, but Bulma just cocked her head to the side without speaking. 

Goku was startled when he noticed something that hadn't happened to Bulma before; the girl's blue hair seemed to move slightly as if the wind was moving it, but even though they were on a beach, it wasn't windy enough for that to happen. 

Some strands seemed to be writhing like snakes, and noticing his gaze, Bulma's smile widened quite a bit, her hair growing quite a bit and fluttering wildly.

"I just thought of that because I felt like I could try to manipulate something easier... even though it might not look like it, doing that with my hair was a lot easier than I thought!" said Bulma as she noticed Goku's feelings of doubt. 

"How cool!" the young man exclaimed before he took the opportunity to throw a Ki ball at Bulma in a sneak attack. 

The yellow energy ball got a slightly sharp tip, Goku could not shape this attack as he wanted because of the speed with which he threw it, but it was not his intention to hurt Bulma, only to distract her from his real purpose. 

Bulma hit Goku's ki attack with her outstretched foot, but that allowed Goku to get closer to her, this time using his shoulder to hit her vulnerable side due to his stance. 

Bulma was pushed several meters without much balance, which meant that Goku was able to get ahead of her and slam his fist into Bulma's back, sending her into the distance, and bouncing off the sand of the beach.

The blue-haired girl recovered quickly, just as Goku's fist hit her cheek, but Bulma decided to use more power, creating a somewhat comical situation. 

Bulma's cheek was distorted from the force of the attack, her head had turned to the side from the blow, but her body remained still and she slowly turned her head to look at Goku. 

"Gotcha" Bulma's blue hair twisted, catching Goku's outstretched fist before she pulled it back; her hair began to spin, lifting Goku into the air and spinning him around so fast that he even kicked up sand from the ground. 

"Go and fly!" Bulma's hair threw Goku into the air and towards the sea. 

"This is cheating!" shouted Goku as he flew away. 

Before falling into the sea, Goku stopped abruptly in mid-air, a faint white aura covering his body, and although he was quite dizzy, he resisted the urge to vomit and performed the flying technique. 

"Looks like you can fly decently now," Bulma remarked, watching as Goku repositioned himself in the air... before throwing up. 

"You're bad, Bulma, very bad," Goku complained under his breath as he used his arm to wipe his mouth, then used the seawater to wash it out. 

"I just want to teach you a lesson and test my new... limbs," Bulma pointed to her hair, which twisted quite a bit and soon joined into two large strands of blue hair. 

"How do you fight someone who technically has four arms?" asked Goku, making Bulma think of a certain Triclop with a strange technique. 

"You have to learn to adapt to sudden changes; if you can transform, what's to stop others from doing the same? If you can use your tail as a weapon, who's to stop others from doing the same? 

You have two arms, but out there will be beings with an extra pair of limbs, you can't complain that you're not used to fighting beings like that just because you can't get used to it," Bulma lectured Goku, whose eyes sparkled as he nodded. 

"That's okay, I'll learn to get used to this kind of enemy, although I hope to encounter some examples in the future..." Goku replied before taking advantage of the fact that he was flying to lunge at Bulma at top speed. 

Bulma took flight as well, taking the fight into the air. She was a little faster than Goku and managed to hit him on the cheek, sending him straight to the ground and kicking up a pile of sand. 

"Come on Goku, get up and fight," Bulma called from above, causing Goku to struggle up from the ground. 

He was dizzy from the blow Bulma gave him, even one side of his face was swollen from the blow, but seeing his big sister floating in the air with that proud look on her face, something burned inside Goku.

He didn't want to lose to Bulma anymore, he wanted to show her that he was strong, that he was much better than when he was an inexperienced and wild child, so Goku started to control the Ki in his body, making the white aura around his body burn. 

"Good!" Goku flew upwards, this time exceeding his previous speed, but when Bulma countered with a kick, he was able to move a little to the side, avoiding the attack.

But instead of responding or counterattacking, he continued to climb higher and higher, overtaking the clouds but continuing to soar until he felt his breathing become difficult. 

"So... let's try this," Goku spun around and began to fall on his head, facing directly towards where he could feel Bulma's Ki.

The energy in his body burned at its full potential, and in his open palms, Ki began to appear, but it was a deep red. The Ki in their hands began to become spherical, and then the spheres of energy began to spin. 

Bulma looked up and saw the strange act Goku was doing; apparently, the brat still had a new technique in his arsenal. This excited Bulma, who decided to return the favor to Goku with a new technique. 

A ring of Ki appeared in Bulma's open palm, her purple Ki twisting a little, becoming a spiral that tended toward the center but never stopped spinning inward without collapsing. 

"This is... A golden spiral?" Doctor Norimaki asked doubtfully.

For what Bulma held in her hand eventually emerged upward, taking on a drill-like shape that began to spin slowly, and then accelerated its rotational speed to the point where it caused gusts of wind. 

"Let's see if I can pierce the universe with this," Bulma muttered before striking a throwing pose and throwing the energy drill at Goku. 

Goku gathered the two red ki balls in his hands before launching his attacks. The two energy beams transformed in the air and took the form of two giant fists. 

His energy fists would smash into Bulma's drill in no time!
