Chapter 32: CHAPTER 32
c32: Fight Again, Goku vs. Frost
"Hahaha! What a fool, headbutting yourself? That's just plain stupid!" Botamo sneered, flashing a smug grin as he saw Goku slam his own head with no visible effect.
But Goku smirked back with a glint in his eye. "No, you're the idiot! You let your opponent get too close!"
"What?!" Botamo's expression shifted. A sense of unease washed over him.
Before he could react, he felt his feet being grabbed tightly and sudden! His body wobbled, balance disrupted!
"Ha!" Goku roared as he clutched Botamo's thick ankles with both hands and, with an explosive grunt, heaved upward!
Bang!
Botamo's massive body flipped through the air!
"Wha—What the hell?!" Botamo shouted in a panic. Could this really be happening?!
Goku grinned confidently. "Hey! Let's see how you handle this! If energy attacks didn't work on you, maybe good old-fashioned muscle will!"
With that, Goku began dragging Botamo toward the edge of the arena.
"Let me go! Damn it, let me go!" Botamo writhed desperately, but his enormous frame made it impossible to regain footing.
Goku hauled him along and added, "You Universe 6 guys probably thought being immune to energy blasts meant you didn't need technique, huh? That's why you ended up so bloated and lazy. You're totally wide open!"
"Coward! If you've got guts, drop me and fight fair!" Botamo yelled, fuming with embarrassment.
Goku chuckled. "No need. I've already figured you out. Time to take a nap!"
As he finished speaking, Goku pulled Botamo all the way to the edge. Then, gripping both ankles firmly, he tightened his stance and shouted
"Here you go!"
With a powerful swing, Goku hurled Botamo out of bounds!
Boom!
Botamo landed with a thunderous crash outside the ring—eliminated.
"Contestant Botamo is out of bounds. Universe 7 wins the first match!" the referee declared, regaining composure.
"Yeahhhh!!!" Universe 7 erupted in cheers and applause.
"Damn it! He lost?!" Champa fumed, visibly annoyed.
He turned sharply toward Frost. "You're up next. Teach that Saiyan a lesson!"
Frost gave a respectful bow. "As you wish, Lord Champa."
In the blink of an eye, Frost vanished from his spot and reappeared in the ring, smiling calmly at Goku.
"I'll be your next opponent. I hope to learn from this battle," he said with a disarming tone.
Goku raised an eyebrow and smiled back. "Frost, huh? I've been curious about you too. Let's see what you've got."
Frost added gently, "Honestly, I'm not one for violence. But Lord Champa promised to fund medical aid and equipment for my people if I joined this tournament. I couldn't refuse."
Goku nodded thoughtfully. "You're a lot nicer than Frieza from Universe 7. He's pure evil. You seem... different."
"Well then, shall we begin?" Frost replied, fists raised but smile intact.
But Goku suddenly narrowed his eyes and said, "Hey, don't hold back. I can tell you're not using your final form. You'd better transform otherwise, you won't last."
Frost blinked, surprised. "How did you know?"
Goku grinned. "Because Frieza has multiple forms too. I've fought him—more than once."
Understanding dawned on Frost, who nodded. "I see. Very well."
With a mighty roar, Frost began to transform his energy flaring violently.
Boom!
A wave of dark blue energy engulfed the arena, surging outward. The spectators shielded themselves as the power intensified.
When the light faded, Frost stood in a new form. His body had shifted.bulkier and more menacing, with extended horns and armored limbs.
But Goku narrowed his eyes. This wasn't Frost's final form. It mirrored Frieza's second form resembling a monstrous, bird-like creature.
Frost smiled calmly. "This is my final form."
But he was lying.
Goku stared intently at his opponent and frowned. "You're still holding back... You haven't shown your full strength yet."
Frost gave a small smile, calm and unreadable. "This is more than enough."
Goku raised his hand in the customary martial artist's gesture. "Then come at me!"
Frost brought his fists together near his waist. In the next instant, his pupils shrank, he let out a sharp battle cry, and his body blurred into an afterimage, zipping forward with shocking speed!
Goku's expression turned serious. A second later, his figure flickered out of sight!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The two fighters instantly burst into a flurry of movement dashing, striking, blocking at lightning speed. Their forms vanished and reappeared, colliding mid-air. The spectators could barely follow the action.
"What the hell is Kakarot doing out there? He should've dealt with this guy already!" Vegeta scoffed from the Universe 7 bench, arms crossed, tone impatient.
Vados glanced at the ring and noticed Lucca—who had overheard Vegeta's grumbling. But Lucca wasn't surprised. He already understood. Goku fought differently from Vegeta. Unlike the Saiyan prince, Goku rarely unleashed his full power from the beginning. He enjoyed reading his opponent, understanding their moves, and giving them a fair fight. That compassionate approach was what made Goku who he was.
Vegeta, on the other hand, was ruthless. He didn't toy with his enemies. If he struck, it was with overwhelming force, meant to crush resistance immediately. Their styles were polar opposites yet they fought together like true rivals. Lucca found that contrast intriguing, maybe even beautiful in a way. Perhaps this was what pure, battle-forged friendship looked like.
Bang!
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Goku took a clean punch to the face. Frost's fist connected with precision, sending Goku stumbling backward through the air. He flipped, landed with perfect form, then immediately cupped his hands together.
"Kamehameha!" he yelled, firing a surging wave of energy at Frost!
Boom!
The massive blast tore toward Frost, lighting up the arena. But Frost didn't flinch—he smirked, his eyes glinting dangerously.
Without hesitation, Frost charged straight into the energy wave his body slicing through the blue beam like a missile! The crowd gasped as he forced his way through the technique and lunged directly at Goku!
"What?!" Goku's eyes widened. It was too late to dodge.
Frost slammed his head into Goku's gut with brutal force. Goku's body bent around the blow and was launched backward! He hit the ground hard, sliding ten meters before he came to a stop.
Frost straightened, proud and poised, a smug grin on his face as he stood tall in the ring.
"Frost's battle form specializes in sudden bursts of power," Vados explained from the Universe 6 bench. "It's designed to pierce through energy-based attacks with ballistic force."
"Whoa! That's amazing!" Cabba, the young Saiyan from Universe 6, exclaimed.
"But," Vados added with a knowing smile, "the Saiyans of Universe 7 haven't even begun to show their true power."
"What? They're still holding back?" Cabba and the others exchanged surprised glances.
Hit, who had been observing the match with mild interest, averted his gaze with a sigh. This fight wasn't enough to hold his attention. It lacked the edge he craved.
"Hey! Vados!" Champa snapped, scowling. "Why are you praising the other universe's fighters?!"
Vados gave a mock-pout. "Oh, Lord Champa, I'm simply stating the facts."
Champa: "Tch…!"

Hello, everyone. A quick word. I've seen that some readers don't enjoy this story and that's okay! Everyone has their own preferences. I understand this story has its flaws. It's perfectly fine if this isn't your cup of tea.
But please if you dislike it, just leave quietly. There's no need to post rude comments, mock the work, or stir up others. Some readers come just to cause trouble, and honestly, that's disheartening. You can choose not to read it. You don't have to insult others who do.
Yes, the power scaling is off, the battle power system is totally broken! It's not consistent anymore. I've chosen to focus on the thrill of the fights rather than obsess over numbers. That may not work for everyone, and that's fine. I just want to say thank you to everyone who's stuck with me.
No subscription today, haha—I'm too embarrassed. I'll just keep doing my best to write this story with heart. Also, a quick poll: do you guys prefer midnight updates or early morning ones? I don't want you staying up too late for my sake. As for me? I can write any time.
