Chapter 47: CHAPTER 47
c47: Cherish Each Other! Make Friends with Force
The terrifying Kamehameha wave radiated with brilliant energy, so intense it warped the air and split through space itself, tearing toward Hit like a divine strike!
Hit instantly sensed the overwhelming force behind Goku's attack. His eyes narrowed, recognizing this was no ordinary Kamehameha—it was infused with godly ki. With a sharp exhale, Hit roared, and a violet Time-Skip shockwave blasted from his palm to counter!
The two energy waves collided in mid-air with a thunderous crash!
"AHHHHHHHH!"
"AHHHHHHHH!"
Goku and Hit were both unleashing their full power Goku tapping into Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken, and Hit evolving his Time-Skip technique under pressure both warriors knowing only their strongest efforts could match the other's overwhelming might!
But Goku had the advantage. His mastery of combining Kaioken with Blue gave him the edge, and slowly, his Kamehameha began pushing back Hit's shockwave, inch by inch, closer to the assassin!
Realizing the imbalance, Hit muttered under his breath, "This isn't good!" He instantly triggered an improved Time-Skip, vanishing from the spot with a flicker of purple light—his body momentarily phasing out of normal time!
"I was waiting for that!! You're there!!" Goku shouted. His senses sharpened from Ultra Instinct training, he predicted Hit's movement and used Instant Transmission to appear directly in front of him!
"HA!!!" With a shout, Goku fired another Kamehameha, this one point-blank!
"UGH...!" Hit tried to erect a time-slowing barrier, but he was too late. He'd underestimated the precision and raw output of Goku's enhanced technique!
BOOM!!!
With Hit's last-ditch defense shattered, a massive explosion burst in the sky, bathing the entire ring in a blinding golden-blue light! Spectators instinctively shielded their eyes as the shockwave shook the floating arena.
"What an insane power output! I didn't think old man Goku still had room to grow!" Piccolo gasped, unable to hide his awe. He and Goku had been rivals once, back in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. But now, the gap was incomprehensible.
It wasn't just him—Vegeta's scowl deepened. The Saiyan Prince clenched his fists in silent frustration. He'd trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he'd fought gods, he'd pushed past Super Saiyan Blue with Evolution but Goku always managed to pull further ahead. The widening gap gnawed at his pride.
Ever since the Android Saga, Piccolo had stepped back from chasing Goku and Vegeta. He knew he couldn't match the freakish growth of the Saiyans who defied their limits with every battle.
But Vegeta was different. He had to surpass Kakarot. Again and again, he chased that goal. And yet, here they were.
"Astonishing. Goku's adaptability truly lives up to the title of a martial arts genius. Don't you agree, Lord Beerus?" Whis said with a soft chuckle.
Beerus gave a small twitch of the lip. "Hmph. Not bad. But that idiot once tried this move on me. The nerve!"
"Ho ho ho," Whis chuckled, amused but unsurprised.
As the dust finally settled and the energy dissipated from the battlefield, the crowd leaned forward.
But Goku and Hit were no longer in the ring.
"Eh? Where did Goku and Hit go?!" the announcer cried out in alarm.
"There!" someone shouted, pointing toward the platform above the two Gods of Destruction.
All eyes turned to see Goku and Hit standing atop the massive spectator platform near Champa and Beerus's thrones.
The arena buzzed with disbelief. Hit had survived the direct Kamehameha and even more shockingly, hadn't been ringed out!
Goku looked at Hit, his eyes serious: "How'd you dodge my Kamehameha at that range?"
Hit gave a rare, sly smile. "Thanks to you, I found another evolution point. In that instant, I pushed my Time-Skip to a new threshold... and slipped between your attack."
As he spoke, his hands curled into fists, his aura darkening with determination.
Wukong gritted his teeth slightly, his body nearing its breaking point. The last Kamehameha, launched using Super Saiyan Blue with the Kaio-Ken x10, had pushed him beyond his natural limits. His energy reserves were plummeting, and his muscles screamed in protest. Subtle spasms rippled through his arms small twitches that betrayed the enormous strain on his body.
The sharp-eyed Champa caught on immediately and shouted with glee: "Oi! This is perfect! Son Goku's burning out fast! Hit! End this now!!"
The expressions of Universe 7's team grew grim. They could sense it too.
Hit studied Goku intently. Though Goku was clearly suffering, he still maintained his Kaio-Ken-enhanced Blue form. He stood upright with a determined grin a trademark expression of defiance even as his body trembled under pressure.
Then, Hit gave a rare smile: "Son Goku… I have to admit, you've earned my respect. In all my years as an assassin, I've never faced anyone like you."
Goku chuckled softly, the edges of his mouth curling up despite the pain: "Same here. Except for Lord Beerus… you're the strongest fighter I've ever faced."
They locked eyes across the arena, sharing a moment of mutual recognition. Their rivalry had transformed into respect.
Then BOOM!
Suddenly, both warriors powered up simultaneously. Goku's Kaio-Ken aura flared crimson atop his Super Saiyan Blue aura, while Hit's body surged with a deep purple energy, his Time-Skip technique entering a new realm of precision and lethality.
They struck battle-ready stances once more, each pushing their limits further.
But then
Poof!
Goku's muscles violently contracted. A visible spasm wracked his body, causing him to stagger slightly. Thick drops of sweat poured down his face, and he gritted his teeth, refusing to collapse.
"It's bad… Goku's reaching his limit," said the Old Supreme Kai, eyes narrowing in concern.
"Hang in there, Goku!!" Krillin shouted from the sidelines.
Others in the Universe 7 booth raised their voices as well, cheering Goku on with anxious hope.
Beerus, however, remained still arms folded, eyes narrowed, not saying a word. But the flicker of concern in his gaze did not go unnoticed.
"This is your chance!! Hit!! Don't waste time fighting him head-on! Just stall him! Let him burn out!!" Champa barked, eyes wild with excitement.
But his words earned disapproving glances even from his own team. The honorable nature of the match was being compromised.
Cabba stood up, voice firm: "Lord Champa, please! Let them fight without interference! Show respect to warriors who battle with honor!"
"Silence!!" Champa snapped. He glared down at Cabba. "You're just my pawn! Who cares if you live or die?!"
Champa's anger surged. He raised a hand toward Cabba. "Say one more word and I'll erase you on the spot!!"
Cabba's face went pale, and he stepped back, visibly shaken.
Then two intense glares cut through the tension like blades.
Champa flinched instinctively. Those stares burning with quiet fury.came from Goku and Hit. There was no fear in their eyes, only silent condemnation.
Champa scowled, embarrassed. "Tch… What am I doing? Getting spooked by two mortals?!"
But Goku and Hit weren't looking at Champa anymore. They turned their focus back to each other.
"Let's go," Goku said with a pained smile, summoning the last of his strength to keep the Kaio-Ken active.
Hit gave a small nod and suddenly flashed in front of Goku using his improved Time-Skip.
Goku didn't move.
Instead, both warriors simply smiled… and bumped fists gently.
This was what it meant to make friends through combat.
Then, Hit shifted backward, his expression serious once more. He resumed a ready stance. The next instant, he vanished and reappeared directly in front of Goku—this time launching a fierce combo attack!
Too fast!
Goku couldn't keep up. His reaction time had been dulled by the toll of Kaio-Ken. He was pummeled repeatedly, taking blow after blow as he cried out in pain!
"How can this be?!" Krillin gasped, stunned.
Beside him, Videl gripped her seat, while Bulma's eyes widened in concern.
Android 18 narrowed her eyes, silent.
Then, Panchy murmured nervously, "He can't... keep this up…"
Picollo, calm but grim, explained: "Goku's body can't handle Kaio-Ken x10 in Blue form anymore. His stamina's drained. He can't match Hit's evolving Flash Time."
The spectators of Universe 7 watched helplessly.
The match wasn't over, but Goku's greatest opponent right now was his own limit.
