Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Arriving at the New Home, Beerus is Like a God!
Traveling across galaxies—or even the universe—was a trivial matter for Beerus. To him, time and distance meant very little. But for Earth, things weren't that simple.
The planet wasn't equipped to handle such speed. Interstellar travel, by even the most optimistic standards of Earth's scientists, required at least the speed of light. But Beerus? His speed surpassed the speed of light many times over, faster than any measure could record.
If Earth were to travel at such speeds without protection, it would be instantly obliterated by the friction and pressure of space. The planet would be reduced to particles—maybe not even that. There would be no trace left of it.
This was why Beerus had covered the Earth in his destructive energy—a divine force capable not only of annihilation but also of protection. It was the only way to safeguard the fragile planet during such a high-speed journey.
When Beerus brought the space station back to Earth earlier, he had used a similar layer of protection. What he didn't realize, however, was that this protective power had unexpected side effects.
The Earth, previously buried under thick layers of snow and ice during its artificial Ice Age, began to thaw. The snowfall that had seemed eternal abruptly stopped. The once-frozen landscape slowly began to soften under the influence of Beerus's energy.
People around the world began noticing the changes.
At first, they thought it was a miracle—proof that Beerus had already started moving the Earth toward its new home. The melting snow and warmer weather were seen as signs that salvation had truly arrived.
This was an incredible turn of events for humanity.
Before, people had been forced to live underground, sheltered from the unforgiving climate. But now, with the snow melting and temperatures rising, it seemed they might soon be able to live on the surface again.
What they didn't realize was that Beerus hadn't even started the journey yet.
All he had done was apply a layer of protection.
Then, with the planet safely encased in his energy, Beerus made his move. He extended one hand toward the sky, and with a subtle gesture, the stars around him began to distort. Space seemed to bend at his will.
And just like that, the Earth began to move—pulled effortlessly through the cosmos.
To an outsider, it looked as though Beerus had physically grabbed the Earth and carried it through space like a toy.
Despite the planet's massive size compared to his own, Beerus showed no sign of effort. In his eyes, the Earth was no more difficult to move than a pebble.
He had, after all, played with planets before—larger ones than Earth. Some of them even rivaled stars in size.
With the Earth under his control, Beerus traveled through the galaxy at incredible speed. In mere seconds, they arrived at the destination that was once projected to take 2,500 years to reach.
And this was without Beerus using his full speed.
Once they arrived, Beerus sought out a suitable location and gently placed the Earth into orbit around a hospitable star system. Then, he released the protective barrier, allowing the planet to interact naturally with its new environment.
He descended to the surface soon after.
By this time, the combination of his destructive energy and the warmth of the new star had already thawed much of the snow and ice. Although some frozen areas remained, the climate had improved drastically.
The temperature on the surface was now similar to a cold winter day. Harsh, yes—but survivable. People no longer needed high-tech suits or underground shelters. As long as they dressed warmly, they could once again walk under open skies.
Liu Peiqiang had already exited the space station and made his way to the surface.
By his side was his son, Liu Qi, along with other members of the rescue team. Their reunion had brought them closer together—past tensions now soothed by shared relief and hope.
Word spread quickly among the survivors.
People from all over the underground cities began emerging. They had heard the news: Earth had reached a new home—and it was all thanks to a mysterious being named Beerus.
Those closest to the space station arrived first, eager to see the so-called "god-man" for themselves. Others, further away, were still making their way to the site.
To comfort the crowd gathering around him, Liu Peiqiang raised his voice and spoke confidently.
"Everyone, don't worry. With the help of Mr. Beerus, the Earth is now far closer to our destination. Even if we haven't fully arrived yet, it definitely won't take another 2,500 years!"
Cheers and applause erupted around him.
Not long ago, the Earth was teetering on the brink of destruction. It had nearly fallen into Jupiter's gravity field, and humanity was prepared for extinction.
But now?
Not only had the crisis been averted, but they had made an astronomical leap toward their new home—possibly completing the journey in their own lifetimes.
This miracle had been made possible by one being.
Mr. Beerus.
Gratitude filled the hearts of the people. Had Beerus been a god who grew stronger from faith and worship, the amount of reverence he'd earned from Earth's population would have elevated him to new heights.
But Beerus did not cultivate the power of belief.
Still, the impact he had left was undeniable.
And just then, Beerus reappeared—descending from the sky with regal grace. A ripple of excitement swept through the gathered crowd.
"Look over there!" someone shouted. "Something's flying!"
"No... wait, that's not a thing—it's a... purple cat?!"
"Could it be... is that Mr. Beerus?!"
"That's him! That's the one who saved us all!"
Gasps of awe spread through the people. The being floating toward them was small in stature, feline in appearance, with violet skin and golden eyes that held ancient wisdom.
He wasn't just some alien.
To the people of Earth, Beerus had become something far greater—a god.
Liu Peiqiang stepped forward, tears forming in the corners of his eyes as he looked up at the approaching deity. Gratitude, awe, and humility filled his chest.
He whispered reverently, "Mr. Beerus... you truly are a god who walks among us."
