Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Take Away Paragus? Erase His Memory First!

Jack was still eagerly looking forward to seeing how far Broly could grow.

Even if he didn't get the quest rewards himself, as long as Broly could train under Whis—just like Goku and Vegeta—then eventually, he too could rise to become a Super Saiyan God or even reach Super Saiyan Blue. That level of power would place him among the most terrifying beings in the universe. With enough training, Broly might even rival top-tier Gods of Destruction like Beerus.

And if Broly was fortunate enough to complete a few more missions? Then his power would become truly unimaginable!

Planet Vampa

On the harsh and desolate wastelands of Planet Vampa, Broly sat on the ground with a serious look on his face. He had just finished reading the latest announcement from the cosmic chat group.

"Is this group I joined really that amazing?" he wondered silently.

Was what that person named Jack said really true?

Was someone truly coming to pick him up from this godforsaken planet? Could he really leave this place after decades of isolation?

Although he had lived on Vampa for most of his life, enduring its brutal environment, he still longed for change. He wanted to see other planets, to learn if the rest of the universe was just as harsh—or maybe even comfortable.

Suddenly, a voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Broly, what are you doing sitting there?"

He turned around to see his father, Paragus, approaching. The older Saiyan had a suspicious look in his eyes.

"Father," Broly began slowly, "someone said… they're coming to take me off this planet."

Paragus squinted at his son in disbelief. "What nonsense are you talking about? Are you still asleep? Besides the two of us, there's no one else here."

Paragus was skeptical. He would obviously love to leave this planet himself, but the reality was cruel. There was no one else on Vampa, and certainly no spaceship capable of travel. How could anyone take them away?

Broly opened his mouth to explain further, but before he could utter another word, a radiant beam of divine light fell from the sky, illuminating the dull, rocky terrain.

From within the light, two figures descended gracefully—Beerus, the God of Destruction, and Whis, his angelic attendant.

Paragus and Broly both looked up in shock.

"Which one of you is Broly?" Beerus asked, scanning the two Saiyans with a calm but powerful gaze.

"That's me," Broly replied, rising to his feet and staring at the newcomers with curiosity and awe.

Could one of them be Jack? he wondered.

"I see," Beerus nodded. "I'm here on Lord Jack's orders. I'm taking you with me—let's go."

With that, Beerus turned around, ready to leave. He didn't spare Paragus a second glance. The order was clear: take Broly. Nothing more, nothing less.

But Paragus wasn't about to let this opportunity slip away.

"Wait! Wait!" he called out, rushing forward in a flurry of panic and hope. "Are you really here to take Broly away?"

Beerus raised an eyebrow. "Yes. So?"

"I'm his father, Paragus!" he introduced himself quickly, pointing toward Broly. "I've been with him on this planet all his life. Could you… take me with you as well?"

Broly turned to Beerus and nodded earnestly. "Can you bring my father too? Please?"

Beerus sighed. This was beyond the scope of his mission. Lord Jack had given him specific instructions—take Broly, and no one else. If he took Paragus as well, would that make Jack angry?

Whis noticed his hesitation. "Why don't you ask Lord Jack directly?"

"Good idea," Beerus said and opened the group chat on his cosmic device.

Beerus: "@Group Leader Jack, Lord Jack. Broly is asking if we can take his father too. What should I do? Take them both, or just him?"

---

Meanwhile, in the Chat Group

Reading the message, Jack suddenly remembered that Broly had indeed been living with his father, Paragus, on Planet Vampa.

Jack paused to consider. Broly had always shown deep respect and loyalty to his father, even if Paragus had used him as a tool for vengeance. In many ways, Paragus was overbearing, but Broly still cared for him deeply. He didn't even allow others to speak ill of his father.

If Jack refused to take Paragus, that emotional attachment could eventually become a source of instability. Broly might act out or fall into darkness later on. But taking Paragus carried its own risks.

After all, Paragus held a deep hatred for King Vegeta, the father of Prince Vegeta, and had raised Broly to despise him too. If Paragus saw Vegeta again, there was no doubt he would push Broly into a confrontation.

Jack sighed, but then an idea struck him.

He messaged Whis directly:

Jack: "@Whis, Whis, can you scan Paragus' memory and erase everything related to King Vegeta?"

---

Back on Planet Vampa

Beerus and Whis received the update immediately.

"Erase his memories of King Vegeta, huh?" Whis murmured. "That's… doable."

Beerus nodded. "Then let's do it."

Paragus, still unaware of the conversation happening in the divine group chat, stood there nervously. "Well? Can I go too?"

"Sure," Beerus finally answered. "But there's just one thing we need to do first."

Whis stepped forward, raising his staff. "This won't hurt… much."

Before Paragus could respond, a wave of divine energy washed over him. Whis accessed his mind like flipping through pages in a book, isolating and erasing every memory related to King Vegeta—his rise, his betrayal, the exile, and the hatred that had festered for years.

In mere moments, it was done.

Paragus blinked. "Huh? What were we talking about again?"

"Nothing important," Beerus said calmly. "Ready to go?"

"Y-Yes," Paragus replied, rubbing his temples.

Broly looked confused for a second, but then smiled. "Let's go."

Jack's Thoughts

Jack leaned back in his seat, satisfied.

That should do it.

By erasing Paragus' memories of King Vegeta, Jack had removed the root of his hatred—the very emotion that had driven him to manipulate Broly in the first place.

Hatred could be a powerful motivator, but it was also a heavy burden. People blinded by it often lost themselves in revenge, sometimes even their lives. In the original timeline, Paragus had died at the hands of Frieza—ironically, in a twisted game of manipulation and revenge. That death, though tragic, had enabled Frieza to further manipulate Broly into attacking Goku and Vegeta.

Not this time.

With no memory of King Vegeta, Paragus would be less dangerous. He wouldn't be driven by vengeance. At the very least, he might live a more peaceful life… and Frieza would be robbed of another opportunity to exploit others for his own amusement.

---

A New Beginning

With a flash of divine light, Beerus, Whis, Broly, and Paragus vanished from Planet Vampa, leaving behind only dust and silence.

For the first time in decades, the brutal wastelands of Vampa were empty of Saiyan life.

Broly was finally free.

And this time, his path would be different.

He wouldn't be a tool of vengeance or chaos. Under Jack's guidance and with Whis as his trainer, he could reach his true potential. Perhaps even surpass Goku and Vegeta one day.

As for Paragus?

He would walk a new road, one without the shadow of hatred dragging him down.

And somewhere in the stars, Jack smiled.

"A new legend begins."
