Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Beat Big Mom with One Punch, A Huge Tsunami, Kaido Escapes!

Vegeta stared at the scattered pirates with mild interest—not because he cared about them, but because he wanted to see the fighting styles of Big Mom and Kaido. The employer's order was clear: eliminate all pirates. That meant no exceptions—even these foot soldiers.

The first pirate dared to rush forward, knife raised high, swinging toward Vegeta. Vegeta let the blade pass through his aura, then calmly pressed his hand against the pirate's chest. He formed a crackling energy orb, lofted the man into the air, and flung him into the horde. A massive explosion followed, obliterating dozens in one brutal stroke.

The remaining pirates froze in terror. One blast, one move, and countless of their comrades lay in ashes. Their morale shattered—numbers meant nothing against this monster.

"Kaido—join forces!" Big Mom roared over the din, glaring at Kaido.

She—alongside Kaido—wielded a mace the size of a boulder. Their combined attack, Bā Hǎi, generated a devastating shockwave that could flatten everything in pace before them. Sengoku, Garp, and the navy admirals watched in horror: no one in the world—not a single being outside the Thugs group—could withstand such a force.

Vegeta braced himself. He didn't move a muscle, nor did he attempt to block. He merely smirked, sensing the accumulated energy. This was Big Mom and Kaido's ultimate attack. Time to end it.

With a blur of movement, Vegeta vanished and reappeared beside Big Mom. Before she could react, he delivered a crushing punch to her skull—splitting half of her head in an instant. She was launched into the ocean with horrifying force, water erupting around her.

Big Mom, severely wounded and sinking, succumbed to the sea's power. Her Devil Fruit power failed her; her strength drained, leaving her vulnerable. As her body slipped beneath the waves, she realized too late that coming with Kaido was a mistake.

---

From afar, the Whitebeard Pirates witnessed the scene. They trembled—Big Mom was one of the Four Emperors, a figure they feared. Yet, she was killed with a single punch. Their jaws dropped; even Krillin's defeat of Akainu paled in comparison. This was on an entirely different level.

If even Big Mom could be so easily dispatched, no one was safe. Not even Garp, old and powerful, would survive such a hit.

Just then, Ace pointed upward. "Look! The water she crashed into…it's not falling. Something's wrong."

Marco and the others followed Ace's gaze—spotting a monstrous tidal wave rising beyond expectations. They realized the tsunami was unnatural.

Whitebeard's crew spread along the deck, their fear mounting.

Sengoku, also alarmed, muttered, "Did Big Mom cause this?"

Indeed, in her final breath, she had infused her soul into the ocean—creating a towering tsunami hundreds of meters high to exact revenge on Vegeta and drown Marineford.

Marineford's fate hung in the balance. One wave could destroy everything—and everyone present.

---

"Freeze it, Aokiji!" Sengoku yelled, turning to the Admiral. Aokiji frowned.

"That tsunami…even with my strongest ice, I can only freeze part. If it breaks apart, the remaining force will shatter the ice anyway."

His words confirmed Sengoku's worst fears: even the strongest ice user couldn't stop this.

The ocean—already trembling—sent waves slamming into ships. Pirates and navy alike were thrown into a state of terror.

Kaido's face went pale. He alone could escape—but his crews? They would perish.

Realizing he couldn't save them all, Kaido transformed into a massive blue dragon and flew upward.

In the distance, Whitebeard and his crew watched. "He's fleeing," one whispered. "He's just saving himself."

Whitebeard rolled his eyes. "I can't stop it. No one can. But with Vegeta here—we might have hope."

---

Sengoku snapped from his shock. Pointing at Vegeta in the sky, he shouted. "Vegeta! Please—help us stop this tsunami!"

Vegeta bobbed his head. "Understood."

He didn't hesitate. Even if he felt the tsunami was insignificant compared to his own power, failure would mean death for Sengoku, the navy, and everyone on deck. Failing meant losing favor with the employer—and that's a risk he refused.

He focused. Gathering power in his hand, he launched a massive energy blast directly into the heart of the tsunami.

The explosion was colossal—thick smoke erupted, obscuring everything.

Moments later, the waves vanished.

No tsunami. No scattering wave. Only water vapor drifting gently in the sky.

Marineford erupted into cheers and gasps. Pirates and marines stared in awe. The tsunami was gone—no trace, no damage.

Sengoku, trembling, realized the truth: Vegeta's blow had completely vaporized the tsunami—water, wave, even its force, gone in an instant.

In disbelief, Garp muttered, "That attack…vaporized everything. That's beyond anything—even Admiral-level."

On the sea, Whitebeard's crew saw it happen too. The explosion swallowed the wave, leaving only white wisps.

"This was…absurdly powerful," Marco gasped.

"It used no containment—it just erased the tsunami from existence," another pirate said. "That's not from this world."

Whitebeard nodded. "I think those thugs they mentioned—they aren't humans from this world. They're some other-world beings."

Marco glanced to the sky. Vegeta flew after Kaido, who was still escaping. "Is he going after Kaido?"

Whitebeard frowned. "Looks like it."

---

Back at Marineford, survivors approached Vegeta and Sengoku.

"Thank you, Vegeta!"

Vegeta replied coldly: "All I did was fulfill my employer's orders. One pirate still remains. I'll bring him back next."

Sengoku shook his head. "No, he's gone for good. Marineford is safe—more than your mission asked for."

Vegeta's eyes narrowed. "Escape? Where can he escape to? You asked me to eliminate all the pirates. My task isn't done yet."

He turned his gaze skyward, scanning the clouds: the hunt resumed.
