Eclipse of the Magi

Chapter 288: Chapter 288: T.M.I

The grip remained strong, pulling his arms further and further, as the Shadow immediately released the Groom in a direction where it would have his arms struck by one of the pews, or at the very least one of them. As he was released, the Groom was quick in extending its legs to create the sniper rifle once more, using the barrel as enough of a wedge to push himself slightly away, only injuring its wrist and grazing the arm itself. Seeing such a desperate act, Shady would be quick to shift directions and sink Solomon into the dark depths, allowing it to invade on the body and relieve any pain receptors, the shadows slithering through his injuries to coat his nervous system and extend it outside, preventing further pain from occurring, though he sadly cannot stop the attack itself.

"T.M.I. Complete...T.M.D Now Processing..."

The Machine spoke. The Shadow's pupilless eyes widened upon hearing its voice. He could see the Groom's arm begin to lower, before another was starting to set-up. In a flash, Shady would lunge a large wave towards the arm, swatting it, nearly having the force to rip it clean off, yet the Husband was quick on recoiling it back, looking towards the darkened figure and realizing it can't use its magic if he keeps acting as the child's personal guardian. The Shadow tried to remember what style of magic he used, yet the Bride would be quick to counterattack, using one of the pews nearby to recover her body and take aim, shooting her rockets to make sure it enters his surface and explode from within.

THWACK!! KA-BOOM!!!

A Solid swipe from the Shadow's arms, enlarged in order to catch them all in one hand, returning them back to sender, watching as the Groom swooped in to take the hit instead, his back exposed into nothing but hot metal and small flickers of flames floating around the smoke. The Groom prepared to take another pew, recognizing that some of the metal they needed is starting to run low, prompting the Bride to sharpen her saws and take aim for them, slicing the salvaged metal from the remaining attacks and the five others into smaller chunks, letting each take one so that they can heal up the wounded parts. The Groom was quick on triggering the next arm during such a recovery, the child being struck down once more by such unknown magic: Choking. The Shadow looked into itself to see Solomon struggling for air, grasping against his neck, his jaw slowly starting to open and tear a bit. The Shadow started to recognize what this may be, as he'd have the water flood in to get a solid visual on what was choking him, as well as providing a hole in his neck to supply air so he can cast a spell properly.

A Pear.

"You....You VILE FIENDS!!!! THAT'S MY BOY!!!!" The Shadow screamed, as he'd charge in. Such a style of magic felt barbaric to use, even more so on a child. To use it on a whim means they lack the empathy for anyone else, a perfect weapon for machines to use against man.

T.M Magic. Alternatively known as Torture Machine Magic. A Style of Magic that replicates various torture mechanisms and machines onto a desired target, ranging from the small, such as the Pear of Anguish, to the larger, such as the Rack.

Solomon was quick on casting a spell around his mouth, a barrier to capture the metaphorical Pear, preventing it from opening further, whilst Shady would charge in and expand its size, creating a mass of arms to barrage and grab ahold of the Groom, but the Groom naturally pushed himself away to evade such capture. The Bride would lunge herself between the two, attempting to fend off the Shadow by the pins and saws to hack and slash them all. Shady, however, was quick on sinking down, slipping right under the Bride, before firing something towards the Groom.

PSSSSSH!!!

Water. Pressurized water that took aim for his arm, slashing it clean off with such precision. The Groom stumbled back in order to regain the arm through a chunk, yet Shady kept firing, a constant stream to try and slash at him from a distance, ensuring the 'Pear' disappeared from Solomon's mouth, letting him breathe properly and heal himself while in the darkness, a Garden forged from Shady's inner world to heal the boy, using the excess water as a surface. The Bride and Groom recognized that they cannot do much damage to the Shadow without having to lull out the child first. The two nodded amongst one another as they'd try to cast another Torture Mechanism, with the Groom using his available arm to try and change its aim. A Sudden grip around the Shadow's neck was made, forcing him to look up and shoot the water out in that path, being careful to not kill such a figure. A Noose. A Metaphorical Noose in an attempt to both strangle the Shadow, though most likely unsuccessfully, but also to leave it wide open for the Bride to lunge straight into the darkness to try and pull the boy out from the confines. As she'd try to reach through, however, the Shadow retaliated by releasing its excess, holding the boy tight so as to make sure he doesn't leave the inner world by accident.

FWOOOSH!!!

A Tsunami, once more, with enough force to push her back, to infest her body in such blood and sea to keep her at bay, the Shadow taking advantage of this opportunity by slimming down the neck, inserting the mass into the arms in order to land a direct punch towards the Groom, breaking the mask in half in the process, a strike straight into a nearby barrier, cracking through the impact. The Barrier the Biblical Sorcerer planted was starting to wear down just as much, but at the very least, the fires were put out. The Shadow would start to absorb the water once more, staring down at the Husband and Wife with such malice.

Even if what Solomon said may be true that they're them, they're still monsters. He cannot hesitate for even a moment, if it means he has a chance to live.
