Chapter 350: A Trip to Wizard City (2)
In the distance of the main street, a few figures appeared, heading to different sides of the street. It seemed there were still some shops open along the street, which was why Ye Nai chose this route.
As the car set off, Ye Nai felt that this trip had been worthwhile.
The high-quality paved hard road was very friendly to the wheels, without any bumps or potholes, making the ride exceptionally comfortable.
While riding, she noticed the street scenery and found that most shops were indeed closed.
Especially near the Transmission Square end, all shops were shut. Only when Ye Nai saw the crossroads ahead did she find shops open on both sides.
And her appearance here attracted the attention of those in the shops, making them come out to see.
Ye Nai rode in the middle of the street, which would be a serious traffic violation in Dahua Country, but on this deserted street, she could do as she pleased.
The people rushing out were scantily dressed, showing at least two bare shoulders, and had various tattoos.
Some tattoos were recognizable, belonging to wizards.
Some were simpler, and their attire more orderly, resembling shop attendants.
Despite their light clothing, compared to the chilling Snow Mountain Pass, the weather in Wizard City was much warmer and humid. Ye Nai, wearing a set of two-piece storm jackets, was beginning to feel a bit hot.
"It's an Otherworldly person!"
"Prepare to fight!"
"How did she get here?!"
"Just attack first, talk later!"
Wizards had to take turns sitting in at the Blue Star battlefield, boosting the soldiers on the front line, so naturally, they recognized the basic appearance of Blue Star natives.
Thus, as soon as the locals on either side of the street saw Ye Nai's face, they immediately identified her and assumed a fighting posture.
Ye Nai chuckled at them.
In the next moment, they all collapsed to the ground weakly.
How could Ye Nai possibly ride her electric scooter so brazenly in enemy territory without any protection?
"In war, you don't have the time to chat?"
Ye Nai scoffed, collecting those with wizard tattoos into her space, leaving the shop attendants behind.
She wanted to capture wizards to learn about their identity. She knew very little about the situation in various countries of this world. Currently, she only knew about the Selsa United Kingdom and the Alkinte Empire. But judging from the ornate decorations on the Transmission Platform, there seem to be many powerful countries and organizations. She needed to understand them all before she could precisely eradicate them all in the future.
The wizards and attendants fell too quickly, and the previously noisy street was quiet again after just a minute.
Ye Nai started the electric scooter, continuing to ride along the street, straight through the crossroads, and kept going forward.
At the end of the road was a particularly magnificent building, facing the Transmission Square in the distance. She felt it must be an important structure.
Entering that street, there were no shops on either side, only large buildings. The greenery on both sides was well maintained, with lush trees and flower beds, blocking the signs in front of those buildings.
Anyway, Ye Nai was riding in the middle of the road; she couldn't see a single sign.
When she reached the middle of the street, Ye Nai suddenly felt a chilling sense of crisis, a danger that she would enter into a death trap if she continued forward.
In the next moment, keeping her speed unchanged, she opened a Transmission Port in front of the bike and directly returned to the East Ridge Secret Realm.
Before the Transmission Port closed completely, a blinding golden light flashed across the roof of the large building at the end of the street, where Ye Nai was intending to visit.
The spot where Ye Nai and the scooter vanished suddenly showed a deep pit, smoke rising from it.
As the smoke began to billow, the Transmission Port finally closed.
Riding her electric scooter and rushing into the Secret Realm, Ye Nai tumbled to the ground. Without getting up, she looked back just in time to see a deep pit silently smoking on the ground.
"Holy crap, that was close!"
Ye Nai, with lingering fear, touched the back of her neck.
"Good thing I ran fast!"
"This trip wasn't in vain; Wizard City indeed has a secret weapon."
Ye Nai got up, brushed off the dust from her clothes, checked the scooter for any damage, then returned it to her space.
"Too bad I couldn't enjoy seeing their reactions when the Transmission Platform disappeared."
"But, never mind, I'll just go for the loot after I complete the sealing of the city."
The so-called sealing, of course, referred to the release of her own superpower spores in Wizard City.
As the spores grew into fungal mycelium, and the mycelium connected to form a fungal carpet, it would only take a little time for the entire Wizard City to become her territory.
Being nearly killed was nothing; she wasn't angry at all.
Ye Nai instantly teleported to the reclamation site three kilometers away from the alfalfa field, locked the meridians of the wizard prisoners she just captured, and threw them into the wizard's team.
"Hey, Fro, here's another partner. Take good care of them and let them know the rules here."
"Yes, Great Witch."
After giving her instructions, Ye Nai checked the cultivation results over here. The servants were working diligently, showing better performance than the wizards and noble prisoners.
"Fro, your team is performing well. There will be alcohol tonight."
Speaking, Ye Nai released some grain and cured meat on the spot, along with a booze barrel the height of a person's knee.
"Thanks, Great Witch."
Fro smiled and cheerfully instructed his servants to move the supplies into the tent.
Ye Nai then went to check on the noble prisoners, also giving them some grain and cured meat. Most of the cooked food was distributed over several meals, and they would have to cook for themselves afterward.
After finishing her inspection, Ye Nai instantly ran to the wilderness outside Town No. 2; she didn't want to do major tasks in front of the prisoners.
Following the usual steps, she first returned to Beigen Military Fortress in the Otherworld, extracted a massive amount of spores, and divided them into two waves.
She opened two Transmission Ports: one directly to the Royal Palace of the Selsa United Kingdom, the other to the logistics camp, sending the spores over.
Then she left them be, planning to check the results after several hours.
Running around the Otherworld so much made her feel as if she'd been abroad for a long time, yet counting carefully against the calendar, it hadn't even been a week since she acquired the Transmission Platform from Military Fortress No. 5 and opened the Transmission Port to Beigen Military Fortress.
However, rushing back and forth everywhere and keeping her spirits constantly taut was directly reflected in her body; her complexion didn't relax to a calm appearance even when washing or looking in the mirror.
Even she disliked her own severe-looking face.
Hence, she decided to slow down appropriately. She arrived at True Dragon Gully in June, and it was still June, so no need to force herself too hard.
Ye Nai took out her Courtyard House, checked her provisions, and then busied herself in the kitchen.
Washing, cutting, and cooking, she filled various pots with different meats, made a banquet of stir-fried and deep-fried small dishes, and cooked a large pot of mung bean soup.
Once the meats were stewed, she rewashed the pots to cook rice, taking half of the rice to wrap small rice balls around; small enough for two or three bites each, with hot dishes hidden inside without leaking the aroma.
