Chapter 240: Mystery Surrounding Su Yen Parent Whereabout
No one knew what the two most powerful clans in the prefecture did in the city, but since they returned, their tents had not been quiet. Their men had been moving back and forth with grave expressions. This baffled clans, and quickly they gathered their minds to find out.
After a couple of minutes, the news spread among the clans about the sudden vital information needed by the Jun clan and Jiang clan.
In the Cao clan, Su Yen stood by the artificial river looking at the calm swimming fish. Standing beside him was Elder Hua.
"Sect Master, do you think they're going to find out?" Elder Hua asked in a low voice.
"I don't know… But I believe those two are our best shot at finding them," Su Yen responded, not taking his eyes off the playful fishes.
Silence descended between them as they were lost in thought. "I can see you're catching up…" Su Yen broke the silence and averted his gaze from the fishes.
A peaceful smile appeared on Elder Hua's face. "This is all thanks to you. Without the Yellow Wind Spring Tea, I wouldn't have reached this stage."
He shook his head and said. "If you're not dedicated to your cultivation, no matter what you take, it won't be as effective as expected. So, enjoy your hard work."
Elder Hua nodded and released a sigh of relief. Even though Su Yen didn't release his aura, yet he carried a pressure that pushed those around him to the edge. Each of his words carried a powerful momentum, and his order was like an imperial decree. His mere presence around people gave out an otherworldly aura.
Just then, a slight knock came from outside. "Elder Hua, the two clans are waiting for you."
When she heard this, she creased her brow in surprise. She looked at Su Yen, and he waved his hand, dismissing her.
Meanwhile, in another courtyard, a man and a woman glared at each other without uttering a word. Even though they didn't say a word, the rapidly increasing tension between them was palpable.

The door to the courtyard was opened, and Elder Hua walked with a slight smile on her face. "Sorry for keeping you waiting."
"Not at all," Patriarch Jun responded with a smile.
Matriarch Jiang looked at the slightly respectful Patriarch Jun with disdain flashing on her face. Since she knew him, she had never seen him this respectful to anyone lower than him. But come to think of it, this was a chance for him to get his hand on ten tea leaves that could potentially allow him to break through to the next stage, equaling the Prefecture Lord's cultivation stage.
With all this running through her mind, she vowed to never allow him to get his hand on the ten special tea leaves.
Unknown to the thoughts going through their minds, Elder Hua said calmly. "Please take your seat."
Taking their seats, Matriarch Jiang cut to the chase. "I have news about the Su clan."
"I also have news about them," Patriarch Jun quickly added, not to be outdone by his rival.
"Good. Please go ahead," Elder Hua responded, maintaining her calmness.
Matriarch Jiang gave Patriarch Jun a cold glare before she began to speak. "Eight months ago, some people from the barren land came to our city. But they were so weak that they wouldn't be noticed by anyone."
"But what made them noticeable was the rare treasure in their hands and the strange information they demanded."
When Elder Hua heard this, she knitted her brow with a slight confusion. What kind of strange information would their clan master demand? Were they not there to ask for a way out of their previous predicament against the beast tide?
Su Yen in his courtyard was also confused by this piece of information. Everything they thought they knew about his parents seems not to be perfectly true.
Before Matriarch Jiang could continue, Patriarch Jun beat her to it.
"It was this strange information that spread to the ears of our vassal clans. To give their treasures, they needed the location of the Ancient clans."
Ancient clans?!
Elder Hua widened her eyes as she couldn't maintain her calmness any longer. "What do you mean by Ancient clans?"
"We don't know. That was the first time I heard something about it. With all my family's archives, there wasn't a mention of the ancient clans," Patriarch Jun responded.
"Many people tried to steal or kill them since they were weak. But mysteriously, they killed all their attackers. After a month, they disappeared from our city."
Elder Hua was quiet for a couple of moments with both shocks and confusion etched deeply on her face. Everything they knew about the clan master was wrong.
Coming back from her reverie, she took a deep breath and asked, "Is that everything you know?"
"Yes," Patriarch Jun nodded.
"I don't know if this might be helpful to you," Matriarch Jiang said with uncertainty.
"I will appreciate every bit of news."
"Alright." She nodded and continued, leaving her rival in shock.
"When I was little, I read a half-completed ancient book in our clan. There they briefly mentioned the Ancient clan, but I didn't think much about it then. When I heard the weak unknown people asking about the Ancient clans, it piqued my interest, and I secretly searched for the traces of the ancient clans but found none."
What!
Patriarch Jun widened his eyes in surprise. He didn't believe his arch-rival would know something he didn't. He was furious, filled with envy. He knew his chance of taking all ten special teas for himself had just gone down the drain.
As for Elder Hua, she was just too stunned to be surprised any longer. She exhaled deeply and said. "Thank you. Now, to what I promised you."
The two clan masters sat up straight with eyes burning with anticipation.
"Since both of you provided the same information, I will divide the ten leaves into two. What do you think?"
Hearing this, they glared at each other and reluctantly nodded. Elder smiled and took two jade boxes from her storage ring and gave them to the clans.
"Be sure when taking the tea, you must not be distracted." She advised.
"Thank you."
They placed the jade box carefully in their storage as if it was their precious little child. After that, they looked at her for her to continue.
Seeing their gaze, Elder Hua knew what they were expecting. "As for the reason why you are all waiting…"
She looked at their faces intently before she said in a low, solemn voice. "Do you promise not to spread the news?"
"We promise!" They both answered seriously.
From the expression on her face, they were not kids and could sense this gathering was not as simple as they thought.
"You better keep your promise. You wouldn't want to see the destruction of your clans. Do you?"
What!
With the strength and influence of their clans, they didn't expect this weak woman would dare threaten them. But when they remembered the rumor about the hidden expert, they realized it might not be an empty threat.
Watching their grave expression, Elder Hua chuckled in her mind while maintaining a grave expression.
"They are going to
enter a secret realm."
Boom!
They widened their eyes, and their jaws dropped to the ground.
A Secret Realm!
It had been centuries since they last discovered a secret realm. Many people had tried to find out why there were no more secret realms, but to no avail. But now, in this backward place, a secret realm was discovered.
The clan masters looked at each other and swallowed the lumps in their throats. This was an important matter for their clans, and if they handled it very well, it might propel their clans to a higher level.
Taking a deep breath, they came out of their stupor and gave a deep bow to Elder Hua.
"Thank you. If you need anything again, please don't hesitate to reach out to me," Matriarch Jiang's voice was filled with gratitude.
"Likewise," Patriarch Jun added.
"No problem. Go ahead; I know you are in a hurry."
After the two clan masters' departure, Su Yen appeared in the courtyard.
"What do you think?" He asked.
"Sect Master, I don't know. But why would the clan master hide such a huge secret from us?" Elder Hua asked in confusion.
"I don't know, but when we find them, they will tell us everything."
"How are we going to find them now?"
"I know a person I can ask."
With that, he disappeared from his spot, leaving a gust of wind behind. Since he got a lead about the whereabouts of his parent, he won't miss this chance.
Meanwhile, when both clan masters returned outside the city, their expressions were solemn. Quickly, they called their child and took off into the distance, gods know where.
However, for those looking at them, they knew something must be up. But the question was, what could be it?
