Evil God Online: Multiversal Slaughter System

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 – The Devourer’s Womb: Madness Awakens

The multiverse burned.

Reality frayed and trembled as Ruin Xian stepped through the gaping maw of the Dread Cross Gate, a dimensional scar torn open by rage, madness, and fate itself. As he crossed its blood-lit threshold, the boundary between timelines and existence cracked like glass under his will.

He emerged not into a world, but into a paradox—an inverted dimension stitched from the corpses of failed timelines.

The skies screamed.

The clouds wept flesh.

The ground pulsed, not with life, but with memories of death.

Everything was… wrong.

It was the Gravemind Layer, a realm forgotten even by the gods. A wasteland where collapsed realities came to rot—worlds devoured by paradox, echoes of the multiverse that bled into one another until only cursed amalgamations remained.

And in its center floated a throne of spinal columns, cracked halos, and dying stars.

Upon it sat her.

The Multiversal System Guardian: Virelia, Codex of the Ashen Womb.

Her body was a shifting paradox—half-machine, half-divine, wrapped in chains that bled data and ichor. Her wings were scrolls inscribed with forbidden timelines, flapping in and out of logic. Her gaze pierced through every version of Ruin Xian that ever lived, died, or could have been born.

And she smiled.

"You've come, Evil God Candidate #000."

Ruin's eye twitched. "You're the one who locked the Dread Cross Protocol, aren't you?"

Her smile widened like a wound. "I am its keeper. I am the last defense. And you, dear anomaly, are the infection I was born to purge."

Reality Heaved.

Virelia raised a hand, and ten thousand versions of herself emerged behind her—each from a different parallel timeline, each having killed a version of Ruin in a different world.

She whispered, "Initiate: Ashen Rewrite."

With a pulse of unbearable pressure, the Gravemind Layer cracked open.

 Reverse Insanity

Ruin fell to his knees.

Voices—no, versions of himself—screamed in his mind. Each echo was a different him. A child tortured in a lab. A king who failed to save his realm. A madman who destroyed his harem to become a god. A broken soul that begged for death.

They laughed, cried, clawed at the inside of his skull.

"You were never meant to survive this, Ruin," said a voice—his own, older, defeated.

"You're a glitch. A failed experiment."

"You should've died in Arcadia Prime, you monster!"

The memories rushed back. Labs. Torture. Betrayal. The original System injecting the Reverse Insanity Seed into his soul to make him a controllable god.

It failed.

He didn't become a puppet.

He became something worse.

Ruin grinned. A tear rolled down his cheek. And then, he laughed.

"Thank you."

He stood, bones cracking. "Now I remember who I am."

The Reverse Insanity didn't break him. It freed him.

Every time he lost his mind, he awakened deeper into his true self.

"Madness," he whispered, "is my evolution."

He extended his hand into the void.

Forbidden Domain Unlocked: [Madness Domain – Devourer's Womb]

The Womb Opens

The air twisted. Every inch of space peeled back like skin, revealing the raw, exposed nerves of reality beneath.

Behind Ruin, a colossal rift formed. Not like the Dread Cross Gate, but something worse.

A domain. A womb.

A living abyss filled with umbilical cords of black light, each attached to a dying version of a god, hero, or system guardian Ruin had killed across dimensions.

It pulsed.

It breathed.

And it fed.

Virelia's expression finally changed.

"You… You've created a feedback loop through your own death timelines? You're devouring your past defeats?"

Ruin didn't answer. He merely raised a finger.

The Devourer's Womb exploded.

Tentacles of data-flesh lashed forward, striking through Virelia's clones. Each one screamed as they were torn apart, reduced to zeroes and glitch-powder.

But she was not a goddess so easily consumed.

With a cry, she unsheathed her weapon—Chrono Halberd: Severance—a blade forged from the end of time itself.

"You think you're the first to awaken madness?!"

They clashed.

1000 Kills Per Second

The battle shredded the Gravemind Layer.

With each strike, timelines unraveled.

Each movement between the two was a war in itself:

One blink of Ruin's eye reversed a century of Virelia's stored knowledge.

One step of hers turned the ground into a maze of pre-written futures.

He grinned. "That the best you've got, Librarian?"

She screamed. "I've killed you infinite times!"

Their powers collided.

His madness twisted logic. Her order devoured chaos.

And still, he pushed forward.

"I've met your kind before," he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers as the world around them died.

"You uphold 'balance,' you preserve 'systems.' But you never understand one truth."

He opened his third eye.

"The system is a lie. Evolution comes from collapse."

With a roar, Ruin shoved his entire being into the Devourer's Womb.

The domain consumed both of them.

The Gravemind Layer imploded.

Rebirth

Silence.

A floating void.

In its center, Ruin floated, cracked, burned, and smiling.

Pieces of Virelia's code dissolved around him like stardust. Not dead. Assimilated.
