Fairy Tail Destiny

Chapter 295: Ch 295 : Gunslinger

Inside the Dark Demon Castle.

Taking advantage of the brief moment when Natsu held off Dylan, Noel and the others finally managed to break into the Dark Demon Castle.

"We finally made it inside," Lucy said, letting out a slight sigh of relief.

"Yeah, but the real test begins now," said Noel softly without turning his head, leading the way.

"We don't know when the other Thrones might appear, so we can't let our guard down."

"Is the strength of the Demon God's Soul really that overwhelming? Even you can't defeat it, Noel-nii?" Ed, who had never faced the Demon God's Soul before, couldn't help but ask.

"That's not it, Ed," Mira said with a wry smile.

"With Noel's strength, he can defeat a Demon God's Soul's Throne. The problem is, aside from Noel, the rest of us aren't completely confident we could stand against one of the Seven Thrones."

"But there's no need to be disheartened, because the gap isn't something we can't overcome," Noel said calmly.

There was an inexplicable power in his clear and pure voice that naturally inspired trust.

"Magic is a force born from the resonance between our own spiritual waves and the energies of nature. In other words, a strong belief makes a mage stronger. As long as we don't give up, we'll definitely find a way to defeat our enemies."

"Yeah."

Mira, Lucy, Ishu, and the others who had once fought against the Demon God's Soul all nodded silently, determination flashing in their eyes.

At that very moment, a sudden loud crash rang out.

Before Noel and the others could even understand what had happened, the ceiling above them suddenly collapsed.

"Not good!"

Everyone's expressions changed at the same time.

If it were ordinary stone, with their strength, they could have broken through it — but the Dark Demon Castle was built from a special type of rock, one that could block energy fluctuations.

Because of that, they were completely unable to destroy it with magic.

In an instant, everyone had no choice but to dodge in different directions.

The stones from the ceiling came crashing down, slamming into the ground with a deafening roar, kicking up thick clouds of dust.

............

"You two, is that all you've got?"

Luther sat casually atop the ruins of a collapsed building, looking down nonchalantly at Alzack and Bisca.

"Damn it, this guy..."

Alzack panted slightly, glaring angrily up at Luther.

"As expected, there are no simple opponents among the Demon God's Soul," Bisca muttered to herself.

Sitting above, Luther gave a slight yawn and glanced lazily at Bisca and Alzack.

"Looks like that's the extent of your abilities. Well, I suppose you did manage to entertain me a little. As a reward, I'll give you a special treat—I'll introduce you to my partners."

Under Alzack and Bisca's stunned gazes, Luther slowly reached down to his waist, opened two pouches, and pulled out two pistols — one black and one white.

"You're a... gunslinger too?!"

Alzack asked in disbelief.

"That's right! Otherwise, what do you think I've been playing around with you for all this time?"

Luther narrowed his eyes, casually twirling the black and white pistols in his hands.

"Being able to witness my gunmanship is an honor for you. There's only one chance — so you better keep your eyes wide open."

"Damn it,"

Alzack muttered irritably, then suddenly raised his gun.

"Sunlight Shot!"

The bullet he fired burst into an intense, blinding flash of light, momentarily robbing the unprepared Luther of his sight — but even so, Luther's expression remained completely calm.

"Wide-Area Barrage!"

At the exact moment Alzack's bullet flared, Bisca seized the opportunity and unleashed her strongest move — a powerful, large-scale volley of gunfire that rained down toward Luther almost instantly.

(We've got him! No matter how skilled he is, without his vision, there's no way he can dodge or counterattack!)

Seeing the dense barrage engulf Luther, Alzack and Bisca thought in unison.

"I heard them... the sound of the bullets."

A faint smile curled at Luther's lips.

Crossing his arms in front of him, the black and white pistols in his hands glowed with an eerie, dazzling light.

In a low voice, Luther murmured:

"Gun Style: Fifth Form — Repelling Shot!"

Luther flicked his wrists, and the two pistols fired simultaneously, bullets shooting out rapidly from each hand.

Bullet against bullet — every round Luther fired struck Bisca's bullets with pinpoint accuracy, knocking them off course.

The deflected bullets then collided with others, and in the blink of an eye, Bisca's entire barrage was effortlessly neutralized with a few casual shots.

Even those unfamiliar with gunfighting could tell — the gap between Bisca's skills and Luther's was like heaven and earth.

"Gun Style: First Form — Rapidfire."

With his vision fully restored, a sharp glint flashed in Luther's eyes.

Both hands opened fire at once — an unrelenting rain of bullets combined with flawless technique forced Alzack and Bisca into a desperate retreat, scrambling just to avoid being hit.

"This is all you've got.

Gun Style: Third Form — Burstfire."

The black and white pistols rose at the same time, without even needing to aim.

Bang. Bang.

Two bullets with a strange trailing sound tore through the air with an ear-splitting screech, hurtling toward Bisca and Alzack.

It was actually a secret technique: six bullets fired almost instantaneously, with the force of all six compressed into a single shot.

Due to the shooting angle, Alzack and Bisca only saw two bullets — making them feel as if dodging was impossible.

Instinctively, they both raised their guns, trying to block with a defensive shot.

"Heh."

Luther's lips curved into a cold smile as he uttered a single, chilling syllable.

Then — two sharp explosions, followed by cries of pain.

Alzack and Bisca fell heavily to the ground, bullets lodged in their abdomens, blood quickly pooling beneath them.

Luther casually raised his black and white pistols again, pointing the barrels directly at Alzack and Bisca's foreheads.

"My Burstfire... can even punch through Dylan's dragon armor.

Thinking you could block it was beyond foolish.

Well then—goodbye, fellow gunslingers."

Bang. Bang.

Two bullets shot straight toward Bisca and Alzack's foreheads.

"Arc of Time."

Just as the bullets were about to hit, a voice suddenly rang out.

In the next instant, the bullets flying toward Bisca and Alzack crumbled into dust and scattered into the air.

"Huh?"

Luther tilted his head in confusion, then turned to look toward the source of the voice — and saw three figures standing not far away.

"Former member of the Ten Wizard Saints, Jellal? And two of the Seven Kin of Purgatory from Grimoire Heart — Ultear and Meredy?"

Luther slowly spoke out the names of the three before him.

"Good thing we made it in time," Jellal said sharply, his eyes locked onto Luther.

"I won't let the Demon God's Soul do as they please."

"Oh~ how interesting."

Luther smiled, his expression full of amusement.
