Fairy Tail Destiny

Chapter 296: Ch 296 : Separate

"Hey, can anyone hear me? Noel? Ed, Ishu? Mira?"

Lucy called out repeatedly in the direction blocked by the massive rocks, but there was no response.

After trying several times, Lucy could only stop, slightly frustrated by the futile effort.

"No response... I wonder how they're doing."

"Well, there's not much we can do. With such thick rocks between us, the sound probably can't carry," Yukino said with a wry smile, offering some comfort.

Then she added, "But with Ed-san and Noel-san's strength, we shouldn't need to worry."

"You're right. Instead of worrying about them, we should be more concerned about ourselves."

Lucy nodded in agreement after considering Noel and the others' abilities, then shifted her thoughts.

"Yukino, what do you think we should do next, now that we've been separated from everyone?"

"We can only move forward on the path we can take and hope to reunite with everyone," Yukino suggested.

Lucy thought for a moment before agreeing with Yukino's suggestion, and the two of them began walking toward the entrance of a nearby passage.

........

"That was quite a sudden attack, sigh..." Ed grumbled as he scratched his head, deciding to give up on the idea of breaking through the pile of rocks in front of him.

He turned to Ishu and asked, "Are you alright, Ishu-san?"

"I'm fine... I still have some fight left in me," Ishu answered slowly, holding his abdomen.

Then, in a quiet voice, he added, "Judging by this, it should be Garlos' handiwork. Among the Seven Thrones, only he would use such a strategy. The other six prefer direct, one-on-one combat. In a sense, he's the most troublesome opponent."

"Is he the one we met underground in the kingdom? He certainly is a tough opponent," Ed said, his expression thoughtful.

"Looks like our only option now is to keep moving forward."

"Yeah... we can't let our guard down. The enemy is very strong," Ishu murmured.

........

"I didn't expect them to do this, we got played," Noel said, looking at the stone wall that almost completely blocked the passage.

He sighed lightly, then stood up, dusted himself off, and murmured, "The others should be fine. Their goal wasn't to cause me direct harm, but to separate us, was it?"

After standing up, Noel briefly scanned his surroundings and could only see a single passage.

"So, they want me to take this path? I understand. As you wish then. After all, my goal is just to end all of this. No matter how many paths there are, they all lead to the same final destination."

Noel slightly raised his head, as if seeing through countless obstacles, his eyes meeting a pair of deep, ocean-like blue ones.

................

"With this, we've separated them. Breaking them down one by one is the right way to increase our chances of winning."

In the depths of the Dark Demon Castle, Garlos stood up and looked at the several groups of people dispersed across the multiple mirrors.

He spoke softly, "The initiative is now in our hands. Although I'd prefer to take them down one by one... I suspect that if I suggest this method, you won't be able to accept it. So, from now on, you'll have to choose your own opponents."

"The woman is mine." Stella said without hesitation, pointing at the image of Mira, who was alone.

She narrowed her eyes and added, "Our last encounter on Tenrou Island was quite enjoyable. Let me see how much she's grown since then."

"No problem, then I'll take care of Ishu and that Ed." Garlos nodded, then turned to look at the cold-faced Tsukiyo sitting on the throne.

"Tsukiyo, Lance still needs to guard the Dark God Temple, so the task of holding back Lord Nord's steps will have to be entrusted to you. We can't let Lord Nord interfere just yet."

"Leave it to me."

Tsukiyo slowly rose from the throne, her terrifying black magic power swirling around her, almost distorting the space itself.

A cold, sharp glint flashed through her blue pupils. "I won't let anyone hinder Master."

"Reliable, indeed… Heh."

Garlos let out a dry laugh, deciding not to probe into Tsukiyo's plan to stop Lord Nord, and instead shifted his gaze to Ophelia, who was quietly standing by.

"Ophelia, those two girls are yours to handle. Although... you weren't quite successful before... but those two girls should have the lowest combat power among the four groups. It should be fine to leave them to you."

"Mm." Ophelia silently nodded.

"Everyone, I hope this will be the last time we raise our blades and fight."

Garlos looked at the others, his tone softening. "So, don't hesitate and give it your all."

"Mm!" Tsukiyo, Ophelia, and Stella all nodded silently.

.............

In the central square of the Dark Demon Castle.

At this moment, the revived Dark God Temple stands tall, and standing before it is Lia, dressed in a pure white long gown, with the First Throne, Lance, standing a couple of paces behind her.

"We've finally reached this day. Lance, how do you feel now?"

Lia gazed at the enormous temple before her, a faint smile appearing on her beautiful face as she asked Lance.

"….." Lance remained silent, not answering.

"I'm really happy right now. It's the first time I've felt this happy since meeting Nord-niisama last time."

Lia, not expecting a response, continued talking to herself.

"It's been over ten years, and now our dream is just one step away. Everything will end, and everything will begin."

"Is that the world that Master desires?" Lance asked softly.

"Of course. It's the world I've always wished for. The world I've been pursuing all along."

Lia slowly raised her arm, and a massive door flew out from the Dark Demon Castle, then slowly descended in front of the Dark God Temple.

It was a magnificent door adorned with intricate patterns.

Unlike the pitch-black Dark God Temple and the Dark Demon Castle, the massive door was half jet black and half snow white.

The two contrasting, almost opposing colors presented an eerie balance, creating a strangely harmonious feeling.

"And now, the Lock of the Door," Lia softly spoke.

Lance then held up the rectangular crystal with a keyhole in the center, quickly stepping forward.

As the crystal neared the black-and-white door, it slowly floated up, then descended into the center of the door.

The two perfectly aligned, as if they were meant to be together all along.

After Lance stepped back, Lia closed her eyes before the door, slowly kneeling on one knee.

She crossed her hands in front of her chest and whispered ancient, obscure divine words in a soft voice.

Dark divine power rose from her body, causing the entire space to seem as though it had turned black.

The air grew dense, almost suffocating.

A massive, intricately designed magic circle gleamed beneath the Dark God Temple, releasing a distinctly ominous glow.
