Fairy Tail: I Stole the Ryujin Jakka in My Sleepwalking

Chapter 109: FTRJ: Chapter 109

Finn spun around, eyes narrowed, unleashing an even more ferocious torrent of flames.

He swung Raging Fire again.

BOOM————

A violent explosion erupted as the spiral black beam slammed into Raging Fire.

The blast sent Finn reeling back two meters.

"This kind of clash is exactly what I was hoping for!" The dust settled, revealing Finn's excited grin.

Zero frowned. "What? He seems even more excited than I am?" The thought crossed his mind.

A breeze stirred Zero's hair—a gust generated by Finn's rapid movement. Zero's eyes widened; he instinctively raised his arms to protect himself. "So fast…"

He only managed a gasp before a flaming fist connected with his arm, searing pain shooting up his limb. Zero was sent flying uncontrollably.

"It's not over yet!" Finn roared, flames erupting from beneath his feet.

In mid-air, Zero felt his arm seized. His eyes locked onto Finn.

The burning flames attacked again.

"One punch, two punches, three punches…" A flurry of flaming fists rained down on Zero.

"AAAAAH!!" The intense pain forced a scream from Zero.

Finn tossed Zero high into the air, then, without hesitation, brought his flaming right foot down with crushing force, sending Zero crashing into the ground.

The earth cracked under the impact of the blow.

Simultaneously, a fiery explosion coalesced in Finn's right hand.

"Hadō #73: Sōren Sōkatsui!"

A vastly enhanced version of Hadō #33, Sōkatsui, possessing even more terrifying explosive power.

A crimson light blazed, followed by another devastating explosion.

"That battle over there is absolutely insane! The explosions haven't stopped!" Gray exclaimed, shielding his eyes with one hand as he gazed towards Nirvana, witnessing the astonishing explosions.

"It seems to be a fairly even match," Sherria commented.

Erza, arms crossed, wore a serious expression. "No, Finn… he hasn't even begun to use his full power yet!"

Sherria's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible! Even from this distance, we can feel the sheer destructive power and the immense magical energy emanating from that clash. And you're saying he hasn't even used his full strength yet?"

Despite Sherria's incredulous questioning, Erza remained firm in her assertion, nodding resolutely. "While I don't fully understand his strategy, the level of destruction we're witnessing is undoubtedly far from Finn's peak capabilities!"

"Sherria, Miss Erza is correct. Mr. Finn undoubtedly possesses even more terrifying power yet to be unleashed," Jura stated, his gaze fixed on Nirvana.

His thoughts, however, drifted back to his first encounter with Finn. During a routine meeting, he, as Serpent Tail's top mage, had faced off against Finn of Fairy Tail.

Even then, despite employing his full arsenal of magical abilities, Finn had remained utterly calm and composed, almost as if he were deliberately holding back. Only those who had engaged Finn in direct combat could truly comprehend the extent of his terrifying power.

"Mr. Finn possesses a latent power within him, a raging inferno capable of incinerating everything in its path!" Jura declared, his voice imbued with a hint of awe and reverence. Only those who have truly gazed upon the pinnacle of power can truly understand the immense difficulty involved in reaching such heights.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, the dust settled, revealing a gaping hole in the ground that extended far enough to be visible from the surrounding forest. Indeed, Finn's attack had completely pierced Nirvana.

Zero was clinging precariously to the edge of the newly created chasm, narrowly avoiding a fatal plunge.

With a slight exertion of his arm, Zero pulled himself onto the surface of Nirvana. Looking up at Finn and the raging inferno that surrounded him, sweat involuntarily beaded on his brow. "This guy…" he muttered, barely audible.

For the first time, this madman, whose mind was consumed solely by the destructive impulse, felt something he had never experienced before in the face of an opponent.

It was fear.

Zero was shocked to discover that a feeling he had never known before, the emotion of fear, had taken root within his heart…

His power was easily on par with that of the Ten Wizard Saints, even capable of surpassing some of them. And if one were to factor in his ruthless nature, Zero believed himself to be even stronger, which was precisely why he was able to instill such fear and despair in the hearts of others.

Yet, this very emotion, this feeling of fear, was now manifesting itself within him. He couldn't comprehend it, couldn't believe it. He bit down hard on his lip, the metallic taste of blood assaulting his senses, causing the already intense madness in his eyes to intensify further.

"Why am I feeling fear?! You must die!!!"

Taking a deep breath, Zero began to unleash the full extent of his magical power.

A force capable of altering the very fabric of the world surged forth from within him. Zero's eyes were locked onto Finn, his gaze unwavering.

With a powerful thrust of his foot, Zero launched himself high into the air, closing the distance between himself and Finn.

"Dark Magic: Dark Capriccio!"

A barrage of dark green energy blasts rained down upon Finn, creating a series of continuous explosions that quickly filled the area with a thick cloud of dust and debris. Only when the dust had completely obscured his vision did Zero cease his attack.

"I am capable of annihilating any tangible object in existence!" Zero declared, his face contorted with a crazed expression, his voice echoing through the dust-filled air as he addressed the figure shrouded within the smoke.

His blood-red eyes were fixated intently upon the swirling dust cloud.

And in that very instant, a figure burst forth from the smoke, a fist connecting with Zero's face with tremendous force. Zero couldn't even begin to count how many times he had been subjected to Finn's punches and kicks throughout the day.

An indescribable wave of shame and humiliation washed over him.

"Damn it!" Zero clenched his fist, preparing to retaliate, but Finn, seemingly anticipating his move, effortlessly sidestepped the attack, seizing Zero's arm with a lightning-fast motion.

An immense force pulled Zero off his feet, the surrounding scenery blurring past him at an alarming rate of speed.

If Erza were present, she would undoubtedly recognize the technique immediately; it was none other than Finn's favorite move, the invincible whirlwind.

"Bang—" Zero's back was slammed forcefully against the ground by Finn, who, without giving Zero a moment to react, lifted him up once more and hurled him against a nearby wall.

Finn showed no intention of letting up, lifting Zero repeatedly and smashing him against the walls, again and again…

"Enough, you bastard, AAAAAH!" Zero's crazed scream echoed through the control room, his right hand forming a magic circle as he prepared another attack.

"Dark Magic: Dark Delete!"

This time, at an extremely close range, Zero was confident that he could pierce Finn's skull.

The spiral black energy beam shot forth with deadly intent.

However, it was instantly seized by a single hand, unable to advance even a fraction of an inch.

"He… he actually caught my magic with his bare hand?!" Zero muttered in disbelief, his voice barely a whisper.

A series of cracking sounds echoed as Finn exerted more force with his right hand, the magical energy beam, capable of penetrating any hard substance, being crushed effortlessly in Finn's bare hand.

Another powerful punch landed squarely on Zero's face, sending the already battered figure flying through the air.

Finn rubbed his wrist, admitting to himself that catching that attack barehanded might have been a tad reckless, but it was nothing more than a minor inconvenience, akin to a simple sprain.

Zero slowly pulled himself to his feet, his clothing torn to shreds, his powerful body covered in numerous burn marks. Expressions of pain and rage warred across his features, stimulating the last vestiges of his sanity.

"Impossible! Impossible! I am Zero! I will destroy everything before me, reduce all tangible objects to Zero!" Zero roared in a fit of crazed fury, his voice echoing throughout the night sky.

It was as if he were desperately trying to banish the fear that had taken root within his heart.

He gathered the entirety of his remaining magical energy within his hands. "This is the ultimate Zero!"

His arms began to move in a fluid, almost balletic motion, resembling the Tai Chi starting form that Finn had encountered in his past life.

Dark green magical energy enveloped his hands, finally culminating in the joining of his two palms.

"Dark Magic: Genesis Zero!"

A bell-like tone, as if emanating from another dimension, echoed through the air.

At the point where his two arms met, a gateway to hell seemed to open.

One after another, wailing spirits and vengeful ghosts poured forth from the newly opened hellish portal.

The sheer number of these spectral beings was staggering—hundreds? Thousands? No, it was impossible to count the number of spirits that emerged, their mournful cries filling the air.

"I will use this technique to utterly obliterate you!"

A crazed smile spread across Zero's face as the countless spirits reached out towards Finn, their spectral hands attempting to drag him down into the abyss.

"History will be reduced to Zero before my very eyes! Zero's Genesis is about to commence!"

"Open, the Gate of Wailing Spirits!" The countless spirits surged towards Finn.

Zero pointed a finger towards Finn. "My travelers of Zero, devour this man's soul, his memories, his very existence! Hahahahaha!" he roared with unrestrained, maniacal laughter.

Faced with this hellish spectacle, Finn made no attempt to evade the attack; there was simply no way to avoid such a massive number of spirits.

He extended his hand, summoning Raging Fire, which he had previously returned to his storage space in preparation for a close-quarters battle.

Countless spirits instantly enveloped Finn completely.

"Hahahaha, that's right! Die! Die! Be devoured by the travelers of Zero! They will tear your flesh apart, consume your memories, and make you wail in your own mind!"

"Meet your end in despair!"

Watching Finn completely engulfed by the spectral horde, Zero let out a triumphant cry.

"All Things in the Universe, Turn to Ashes: Ryūjin Jakka!!"

A resounding, powerful tone echoed from within the swirling mass of spirits, causing Zero's eyes to widen in shock and disbelief.

Meanwhile, Erza, who had been standing with her eyes closed, her face etched with worry, suddenly snapped her eyes open. "It's coming!!"

Those around her stared at her, utterly perplexed.

"Miss Erza, what did you just say?" Jura, his gaze still fixed on Nirvana, hadn't quite caught what Erza had said.

Erza spoke slowly, her voice calm yet filled with a sense of awe and dread. "I can feel it. The flames that will incinerate everything in their path have begun to burn!"

Gray wiped the sweat from his brow, a knowing smile spreading across his face. "That guy… he's finally getting serious!"

Natsu clenched his fists, the veins in his arms bulging with excitement, his face alight with a mixture of anticipation and exhilaration. "One day, I'll surpass him!" he declared with unwavering determination.

"What are you all talking about?" Sherria asked, her voice laced with confusion, her hands clutching her head.

The smile on Zero's face was instantly replaced by an expression of sheer terror. He stared in disbelief at the center of the swirling mass of spirits and vengeful ghosts, where faint streaks of crimson light were beginning to flicker.

He could hear the screams of the spirits, but these were unlike the wails he had heard before. These were the screams of beings being consumed by fire.

BOOM————

A colossal explosion of flame erupted, engulfing the countless spirits and vengeful ghosts. They writhed and twisted in the inferno, emitting even more agonizing screams than before, before being reduced to true Zero by the all-consuming flames.

Finn took a slow, deliberate step forward, the flames surrounding him expanding relentlessly, until they had completely consumed and incinerated the hellish gate that Zero had opened.

"Impossible, impossible! How… how is this even possible?! How can there possibly be such flames?!" Zero repeated, shaking his head in disbelief, seemingly attempting to deny the very reality unfolding before his eyes.
