Fairy Tail: My Magic is the Sun

Chapter 53: Chapter 53: The Prototype of the World

The Time Rift, the nexus where all timelines converged, was suspended in eternal stillness. Not a place of silence, but of infinite motion, where time coiled like serpents and rivers flowed in directions language could not describe.

It was here in this void beyond all realities that Ultear opened her eyes.

The Wheel of Time's Law hovered behind her, vast and divine. Where once the barren wastes of the Rift lay, now an endless River of Time unfurled behind her luminous, boundless, alive.

Escanor stood before her, his presence like a blazing sun within the timeless void.

"Ultear, how do you feel?"

She didn't answer right away. Her breath was calm, but her aura stirred like thunderclouds behind glass.

"I've stepped into it—that final step. And I can feel it... the World Will knows."

"Do you have confidence?"

She didn't speak, only lowered her gaze and shook her head.

Escanor's arms closed around her gently, protectively.

"What should I do?" Her voice trembled not from fear, but from helplessness. "I've come so far... and yet the world will still feel so far away, unreachable..."

Hope had finally shown itself—only to be swallowed by despair. It was cruel.

Escanor frowned.

"Then let me ask this: how strong am I now, compared to you?"

Ultear's eyes widened slightly. She reached out, placing her hand lightly over his chest, and began to sense.

And then she froze.

"!"

"What's wrong?"

She stepped back in disbelief.

"Impossible... Your third magic source was activated, but your power hasn't surged at all. And those unique abilities you showed, where are they?"

Escanor's expression shifted to contemplative.

"Could it be... that sphere?"

He closed his eyes, and within his soul, his consciousness sank.

That sphere suspended in the center of his three magic sources was where it all began.

Ultear followed her consciousness, intertwining with his. And what she saw inside stole her breath.

A sun, blazing and golden, full of infinite vitality, now hung suspended in the center of what was once a chaotic, meaningless void. The sphere had changed. The turbulence had begun to settle, and from the storm of entropy, land was beginning to form.

"You... you're not just cultivating magic," she whispered. "You're... creating a world."

"A world?"

"Yes. That sun you formed inside it is radiating such immense life force that it's catalyzing the birth of form. This isn't a domain or a personal realm. Escanor, this is the prototype of a world."

Her voice became hushed and reverent.

"If the final goal of the gods is to break free from the limitations of the world, then you are bypassing that completely. You're building your own world from scratch. And when that world evolves, when it breathes, you won't just become a god. You'll be... its World Will."

Escanor was silent, struck by the immensity of it all.

"How long will this evolution take?"

Ultear gave a tired smile.

"An unthinkable amount of time."

But Escanor's eyes lit with a familiar fire.

"Tiya, can you manipulate time yet?"

"I can, but I can't influence an entire world. Not without being its will."

"Then I'll give you permission. This is my world, and I authorize your Time Power to flow through it."

Without hesitation, Ultear extended her hands, and time flowed like lightning.

It weaved itself into the forming world, accelerating the collapse of chaos into cosmos.

Mountains rose. Continents emerged. Oceans deepened. The sun above gave warmth, and the barren lands began to thrum with potential.

"It's working..." she gasped. "Time is accelerating evolution!"

But soon the light in Escanor's eyes dimmed.

"Why isn't life forming? I've already poured in all the Life Power I have..."

Ultear reached for his hand.

"Don't lose hope; the birth of life is always the hardest."

They returned to the palace not to rest, but to reflect.

Though the palace doors remained sealed, a radiant scene bloomed above a sun encircled by celestial gears of Time spun over the roof, like a divine omen. The world itself seemed to hold its breath.

Inside, time passed differently.

No throne sat upon the dais; now only a silken bed draped in light, veiled in gauze.

Two divine beings bound not just by fate, but by spirit.

"It's strange," Ultear whispered later, her voice soft against Escanor's chest, "but from the dawn of the divine era until now I've never seen two gods unite like this."

"Ancient gods didn't do this?"

"They looked down on mortals and saw reproduction as base. They warred. They created. But they never... loved."

Escanor pressed a kiss to her brow.

"Then let this be the first and the most sacred."

The Next Day

Escanor rose first, the stars of his new world still fresh in his mind.

"I'm preparing to leave," he said. "Otherwise, Mira and the others might worry."

Ultear pouted, a mischievous spark in her eye.

"Hmph, heartless man. Still thinking of other women."

He rubbed the back of his neck, flustered.

"That's... not what I meant..."

She giggled.

"I know."

She couldn't leave the Time Rift, not as she was now. But to avoid suspicion in the Magic World, Ultear conjured a clone, a perfect echo of herself.

They stepped together into a swirling distortion and vanished from the Rift.

The sky above the coastline shimmered, and they returned.

The sea breeze blew softly as if nothing had changed. But everything had.

Escanor stretched.

"Let's part here. If you're in danger, call for me, you know, because I'm stronger than you now."

"Hmph, says the man who panicked when I screamed from the pain."

They smiled and shared one final kiss.

Ultear's clone walked into the distance, a mirage beneath the morning sun.

Escanor watched her vanish, then turned eyes gleaming gold.

With a flash of light, he soared into the sky.

"Let's see what Fairy Tail is up to..."

Fairy Tail Guild Hall Magnolia

Inside, chaos reigned.

"Stop fighting!" Erza bellowed, slamming her sword into the floor. "The reporters are coming!"

It was the day before the Fairy Tail Festival, a grand event celebrating the guild's legacy.

And this year it was different. Their reputation had soared. Magic Weekly reporters were already en route.

Gajeel leaned against the wall, now a member himself, arms crossed, smirking.

Fairy Tail, loud, wild, and proud, was still Fairy Tail.

But no one knew, not even Makarov, that somewhere high above, descending like a second sun...

Escanor was returning.
