As Ryuu exited the cave, he saw that it was nighttime. He quickly made his way toward Magnolia. Upon arriving in the city, he came across Lucy, who was walking home.

"Oh, Ryuu, are you doing okay?"

"Of course, Luigi. Why wouldn't I be?" Ryuu looked at her with a big, childlike smile.

"It's... LUCY, YOU IDIOT!"

"Okay, Lucy Idiot."

"IT'S... aaahhh, forget it. You seem a lot happier than when you left the guild."

"Your name suits you well, Lucy Idiot... Of course, I'm happier. What Laxus said may have hurt me, but it helped me accept a part of my past... See you later, Lucy Idiot."

Ryuu grabbed the necklace attached around his neck, smiled, and walked joyfully toward the guild.

Upon arriving, he saw that no one was left in the guild except Mirajane, who was sweeping, and Master Makarov, who was still sitting in his usual spot. Ryuu walked toward Master Makarov and sat beside him.

"Well, Ryuu, where have you been for so long?" Makarov glanced at Ryuu out of the corner of his eye, noticing a small, sincere smile on his face.

"I was at the cave... to accept something. Hahaha."

"I see... You've grown, my boy."

"HUH? I'm already grown, YOU DAMN DWARF!"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME, YOU BRAT?!"

"YOU HEARD ME LOUD AND CLEAR!"

Makarov jumped at Ryuu's face, and a fight broke out between the two inside a cloud of smoke. It quickly came to an end, with Ryuu standing and holding Makarov's head, keeping him from touching the ground.

"Do you feel that, Master…? Something's not right."

"Yes… There's a demonic aura very close to us." Makarov scratched his chin, deep in thought.

"It's coming from our right."

"Yeah… I can feel it."

The two looked into each other's eyes before slowly turning to their right. As they did, they saw Mirajane glaring at them with dark, menacing eyes.

"I just finished cleaning the guild," Mirajane said, raising her broom.

Ryuu and Makarov looked around, noticing several broken tables. Then, they slowly turned back to Mirajane.

"Sorry…"

'BAM' 'BAM'

Ryuu and Makarov were now kneeling, looking up at Mirajane, each with a large bump on their head.

"Alright, now you're going to clean everything up, and when I come back tomorrow, I want this place spotless."

"Yes, ma'am…"

Mirajane nodded with a smile, set down her broom, and walked toward the exit. Meanwhile, Ryuu and Makarov got up—Ryuu grabbed the broom while Makarov used his Giant Magic to put the tables back in place.

As Ryuu started sweeping, he suddenly felt two arms wrap around him from behind.

"I missed you, Ryuu."

The moment the arms let go, Ryuu turned around to see Mirajane smiling at him before leaving the guild.

"Loooveeee~"

"SHUT UP, YOU DWARF!" Ryuu's head grew larger, showing sharp shark-like teeth.

After that, the two continued cleaning the guild until morning, just before Mirajane arrived. Having finished, Ryuu sat on a stool with his head resting on the bar, while Makarov lay down directly on the counter.

"Well, I see everything is clean… I'm impressed."

"Thanks, Mira…" they both replied without moving from their spots.

At the entrance of the guild, Mira walked toward the two and let out a soft laugh upon seeing them so exhausted. She let them rest and went behind the bar to prepare for the day's service.

Little by little, the guild began to fill up. However, despite the usual lively atmosphere, there were no sounds of fighting, which surprised Makarov as he remained lying down.

That was until Mira came down from the second floor and approached Makarov.

"Master, there's a small problem. It seems that a quest has disappeared from the high-rank quest board," Mira said, looking at Makarov with concern.

"Ryuu… Did you take a quest without permission again?"

"No… I may be an incredible ninja, but it wasn't me… Nin-nin."

"Then who could it be…?" Makarov slowly lifted his head to look at Mira and Ryuu.

"I don't know," Mira said with a small smile, as did Ryuu, who still had his head on the bar.

Suddenly, a new voice was heard.

"I know… Turns out a little blue feline passed by yesterday," Laxus spoke from the second floor.

"Blue feline?" Mira and Ryuu looked at each other, thinking.

"NATSU!" Makarov jumped to his feet, shouting the Dragon Slayer's name. "LAXUS, why didn't you stop him from taking the mission? Go bring him back immediately!"

"Hahaha, that's none of my business. Just let him do the mission—it'll get rid of the weaklings," Laxus said before vanishing in a flash of lightning.

"That brat… Right now, there's no one strong enough to go after them. Erza is on a mission, and Ryuu… he'd probably play around instead of bringing them back," Makarov muttered, rubbing his chin in thought.

"What's that supposed to mean? And you've been saying him all this time, but Lucy Idiot isn't here either," Ryuu said, still resting his head on the table.

"Lucy Idiot?" Mira and Makarov said at the same time.

"Well, that's her name."

"IT'S LUCY, YOU IDIOT!" Makarov shouted.

Ryuu looked at him, then at Mira, then back at Makarov.

"That's what I said."

"…Forget it…" Makarov sighed and looked around, but then Gray, who was sitting nearby, spoke up.

"I disagree, Master. I'm strong enough to handle this… I'll go bring them back."

Gray stood up under the gaze of Ryuu, Mira, and Makarov before running out of the guild.

Ryuu pointed at the exit. "You guys do realize that idiot is just going to join the mission if Natsu challenges him, right?"

"OH, DAMN IT… One's no better than the other. By the way, which mission was it?" Makarov asked.

"It's the Galuna Island quest, Master," Mira replied, looking at Ryuu, who lifted his head from the bar and turned toward Makarov.

"AAHH… These kids are going to be the death of me."

"It's fine, Master. I'll go take care of them," Ryuu said.

Makarov looked him up and down, while Mira smiled.

"WHAT'S WITH THAT LOOK, YOU DAMN DWARF?!"

"Nothing… nothing. So, you're really going to bring them back?"

"Huh… Of course not. I'm just going to keep an eye on them to make sure nothing happens to them. That way, when they finish the mission, they'll be happy… right before coming back and getting their punishment. Muahahahahaha!" Ryuu laughed as devil horns appeared on his head, a wicked grin spreading across his face.

"Very good idea… very good idea, Ryuu," Makarov said, also growing horns and showing a similarly devilish smile.

Ryuu stood up from the bar and walked toward the guild's exit, waving his hand. "See ya."

Mira quickly walked up beside him and grabbed his hand. Ryuu turned to look at her, only to feel her lips press against his cheek. As he watched her hurry back behind the bar, a small smile escaped his lips before he continued on his way, heading toward the S-Class quest to Galuna Island.
