Fairy Tail: The Strongest Fairy (Rewritten Version)

In the guild master office, that located on the first floor of the Fairy Tail Building. Lies Makarov who sighed, as he looked at the orb before him.

An orb that is known as crystallized Magic Power, an item that used in creation of all Magic Items in this world, a special kind of ore known as Lacrima.

Magic Items themselves are spilt into two main types. Manual, that means powered by one's own Magic Power. Or self-powered Magic Items, that uses the Lacrima itself, as a source of power to fuel them.

And before Makarov, stood a crystal ball known as a Communications Lacrima Crytal, a type of Magic Item that uses others CLCs (Communications Lacrima Crystals) to communicate with each other.

The CLC before Makarov is the manual type, powered by his own Magic Power.

(AN: CLC is not the proper term but typing Communications Lacrima Crystals over and over again is annoying, so I calling them CLC, which is what they are.

Of course, if most of you don't like this, I can always use Word's Find and Replace on the CLC with the proper term)

{Sorry Makarov, no matter how I look at it in the Magic Council, nothing seems to fit into this Dark Wizard you are looking for, speaking of which, how is the boy? Zack Smasher, was it?}

Went the voice of an old man within the CLC.

"He is… far better he was compared the beginning, I give him that. Still a headache at times, like the rest of them. But now it doesn't feel I am dealing with a child, but someone near his age. Good thing is as smart as he is as clueless, Yajima."

Makarov went to the person on the other side of the CLC. As he recalled about Zack, has it been a year since that brat has joined their guild.

The beginning was a nightmare, a child in the body of a teenager.

How many times he has to deal with the naked boy running around, who knew no shame?

How many times he has to reason with the guards of the town, who often has to chase the jaywalker around the town!?

Only silver lining Makarov had, when winter came, the very same jaywalker realised why clothing is important, and during the winter, Zack became used to clothing himself, as they no longer feel uncomfortable on his body.

As for harems?

At first, the clueless teenager taken Makarov advice, however, this plan of Makarov soon failed, when a certain Dragon Slayer brat, who also has no clue what a harem is.

Made Zack realised harems are a special term of close friends and bounds… of course, that wasn't right. But Makarov can still remember that day, when Gray looked in horror, when Natsu told him, if he were to beg, he will let him joined them.

Lucky enough, Makarov was there to fixed the misunderstandings, causing Zack to look in shock, while Natsu just laughed at Zack serious shocked expression, while Gray who was holding his body in disgust due to Natsu invite, sighed understanding… that Natsu didn't want him that way.

Luckily enough, overtime, this damned harem situation got better, as Zack soon learnt, unless he is interested in men in a special way, harems are normally a group of women that are his lovers.

Of course, like opening a door, will open to another room. This only created more questions for the clueless teenager, who has no clue what love actually means.

However, he understood (?) the woman part very well. And even discovered that Happy is a male, who looked offended, realising Zack didn't even knew Happy's gender until that day.

Makarov recalled that day, as Zack asked almost every female member if they either wanted to be lovers (Doesn't understand what a lover is), or part of his harem.

But to everyone surprise, the one who stopped Zack in his strange foolish rampage, wasn't himself, nor it was any of the other members besides Erza, who never stop anything that entertaining.

And Erza around that time, was away on a Mission herself.

The one who stopped Zack that day, was Mirajane who for some reason looked both angry and confuse, as she looked shocked at herself, when she stopped him.

Makarov gives as small smile recalling that day.

Even if the tomboy rebel hasn't realised it yet, almost everyone in the guild that Mirajane has some level of fondness towards Zack.

While she still cold towards everyone else, anyone can see she seems to opened a little bit to Zack.

Mirajane still has a wall around her, but that wall seems to be smaller, when it comes to Zack, when it compared to anyone else besides her siblings themselves.

There are times, when Mirajane purposely picks on Zack, there also times when they just chat and get along, of course, it mostly Zack doing the talking.

But there are times when Makarov spotted the two alone together, he often spots a small smile on Mirajane's lips.

To Makarov, Mirajane is no different to a tomboy who has no clue she has a crush. This is why she picked on him, or even at times, blankly stares at him, without herself knowing she doing that.

And there also times, when she gets mad, not knowing why she gets mad, when Zack becomes closer to others that are female.

And yet, Makarov also knew, the young girl that is now 16 years old, refuses to acknowledges these feelings of hers.

But nevertheless, Makarov is glad, even if it just a little, even if it just one person. She seems to be slowly opening herself to someone else, that is not her family. That all matters to this old man.

It is his job to look after these damned brats… he only wishes he could retire before they become adults… he's 85 years old, you know?

(AN: 3 years for canon to begin, and Makarov is 88 years old when it starts…)

"Hahaha, I wish I can retire soon old friend, I am already 85 years old… but there is no one who wanted to be the next guild master!

And the one I want to take over, pretends I am speaking in a different language, then there is my grandson who already eyeing my position, there is no way I am going to give my title over to his ass, unless he realised what it meant to be the next guild master truly means." Makarov went to the CLC, as the one known as Yajima chuckled on the other side.

{I am sorry Makarov to hear that, I too also want to retire from the Magic Council, we the same age. But you know I can't, Fairy Tail is the reason why I joined the council in the first place.} Yajima went, even if the old man via the CLC is now an elder to the Magic Council.

He also a former Wizard from Fairy Tail, as well part of the team that Makarov formed in his youth before he became the next Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

"That is true, many things have changed over the year, Zack changed a lot, Mirajane is slowly opening to someone else besides her family. Natsu and Gray seems to get along with Zack. And even Erza getting along with that brat as well, sometimes I wonder, if this guild is right for him to join. He is learning fast, but the people he learning from… might not be the best of people."

Makarov told with a sighed.

{I don't think so. You and I knew that boy needs a family, not a guild like the rest of them, old friend. That boy has nothing, nothing at all. So what if his personality maybe be based on those around him? Chaotic as Fairy Tail may be, they are also a family, those who has a good heart, that is why Fairy Tail is Fairy Tail, a bound, a family, something you of all people should knew the best.}

Yajima went via the CLC, causing Makarov to laugh with Yajima's words.

"Hahaha, right you are, but that is why I am worried, Yajima. I don't know who this so-called God's endgame is. Why use Memory Rewrite Magic on the lad, and dropped him of at the former Guild Master's hideout? Does this mean, this God related to us? But if that so… I don't remember anyone around our generation, that uses either this Haki or Quake-Quake." Makarov went with a sigh.

{I know, everything about the boy's situation sounds strange and serious. But if I recall correctly, you say this God's person looked around his 20s, or least that what Zack said right?} Yajima askes

"Aye, that what the lad said." Makarov confirmed his friend.

{But Makarov, if this God person is same generation as us, he wouldn't look so young. I do find it strange they just happened to drop the boy near the hut once used by master Precht. However, it could be by chance as well, and not to mention old friend, your guild is currently the most famous guild in Fiore, even outside of Fiore Kingdom, has least heard of Fiore's strongest guild.} Yajima told.

"I know that, I may be old, but I am not senile… but I might be before I get the chance to retire… enough about this, it just giving me a headache just thinking about it! It doesn't matter what Zack was, he is now a brat of mine, that is enough. Fairy Tail don't abandon their own, I make sure we don't… if only that damned son realised that I didn't have to…"

Makarov went, but didn't carry on, speaking about his son, is no easy task, even if Yajima knew the whole story, he too didn't go further into this problem either.

"Anyway, thanks for the update, if there is nothing else, let end this chat for now." Makarov went.

{Actually there is another thing, that I need to informed you, something even more serious then Zack's matter.} Yajima went, causing Makarov to turned serious, as he sighed.

"What is it old friend? Did something happen? Don't tell me it those damned Magic Council guys again?" Makarov went, feeling it has to be those damned fools again.

{Hahaha, you telling this to a council elder, you know? Well, in a way it is related… but in a way it also related to your guild, but not… or maybe it is.} Yajima went, causing Makarov's eyes to narrowed.

"What you mean it related to us, but might not be?" Makarov askes.

{The public doesn't know… as of two weeks ago, the Magic Council had to no choice but to use the Etherion.} The moment Yajima said that the colour of Makarov's face was drained, because this Etherion is something he knew very well.

Something that shouldn't exist, but in a way, had to.

"Y-You telling me they used the Etherion!? That damned weapon of mass destruction!? What for!?" Makarov went, the Etherion, a weapon that can even wipeout nations, kingdoms, and rumoured even a whole continent.

For the Magic Council to use such a weapon, that is no different to a nuke, or even stronger, tells this not a small matter, but a nation level or above matter.

{Makarov! Calm down! We had no choice… the Alvarez Empire attempted to invade Ishgar, starting with Fiore, being the closest kingdom for the Empire. And the reason I say related to you, because our sources say, if Etherion didn't threaten them, the first warzone will be Hargeon, my hometown… and a town away from Magnolia, where Fairy Tail lives!}

Hearing Yajima, Makarov didn't say anything, he can see why the public didn't knew of this. In truth, only Saint Wizards, high ranking nobles, and rulers of Ishgar knew about the Etherion, that damned weapon of mass destruction exists.

Makarov didn't like the Etherion, but he knew such an existence is necessary in moments like with the Empire, Alvarez.

To think… they so close having a continent level war just two weeks ago. This is no small news, the public didn't know, because this will cause nationwide panic. Something that no ruler wanted to have, when they can easily solve this problem with a… well a nuke.

But the worst thing is… if Etherion didn't threat them, Fairy Tail will 100% be dragged into this, because like Yajima said, Hargeon is very close to Magnolia, less than a day away at that. 

Not to say, as Guilds handle matters related to Monsters and Magic, if a war breaks out, and the other side has Wizards among their ranks, they will be dragged into it.

That is one of the conditions that Legal Guilds has to follow, if war with no Magic involve, Guilds are not allowed to take part… but once Magic is involve, is a different matter.

And the Alvarez Empire from the Alakitasia continent... they are known as the most powerful nation on Alakitasia, that devoured not just other nations, but even guilds as their own.

That is why in Alvarez there no such thing known as Guilds, because Wizards are part of the Alvarez army and military might.

To be honest, everything about that empire is a mystery. Even the Emperor that rumoured to be immortal, or a ghost, that barely seen for many years, also the most mysterious existence in Alvarez.

"Ahh… I don't know to be glad, or worried… you don't think they will try again, right? Fiore is closest to Alvarez, if they attack again, we cannot avoid them…" Makarov went.

{You don't have to worry, as long the Magic Council has the Etherion, they will think not twice, but thrice if they wanted to invade Ishgar again. But I will let you knew, if they try it again, just don't tell the public about it, it not the right time for them to knew.} Yajima went.

"I wouldn't, it not wise to cause unnecessary worry for the public…" Makarov went, making this old man feel like he needs a drink after all of this.

I always wondered, why did the Grimoire Heart Dark Guild never thought Zeref to be in Alakitasia, but Ishgar instead?

That immortal Wizard wanted the whole of Ishgar erased from the map, one of the three reasons why he created Alvarez, and spent countless years of creating a force that can be called the strongest nation in the world.

One to destroy Ishgar, a whole continent for some reason I can't quite remember.

Two to get Fairy Heart, an unlimited source of Magic Power, that is right under Fairy Tail Building. So he can use the Neo Eclipse, a Universe Level magic.

And three to kill a certain black Dragon, who is the final boss of the canon of Fairy Tail, not the 100 Years Quest, since I don't know who the main villains are over there.

Anyway, for those that has no clue I am on about or cannot remember. Zeref is one of the two main villains in the Fairy Tail canon.

He is the mastermind, and among Humans, he is the most powerful, the strongest Dark Wizard, who went beyond mastery of the Black Arts, since he can create his own Demons.

His power level or least regarding to Vs Wiki is Large Planet Level, but can also be Universe Level with Neo Eclipse, that can simply rewrite time itself, by destroying what already exists.

If you think of it, in the canon, Zeref never fought 100% of his power, right? After all, that man wanted death then anyone in the world. Which is the reason why he created the E.N.D. to end his own life.
