Fairy Tail: The Strongest Fairy (Rewritten Version)

At the same time, in the nosy basement of the guild, that is used as a pub, lies Natsu Dragneel, who looked bored, as he placed his face on the table.

"Something the matter Natsu?" Happy the blue flying talking cat askes, as he floated over to Natsu.

"I am bored… There is no Lisanna or Zack at the guild…" Natsu went, sighing with no one to play with.

Being 14 years old, Natsu even if he is a teenager like the rest of them, is somewhat playful and annoying by nature.

He loves eating, fighting, and messing around. And in the last year Zack joined the guild, he has become close to the clueless teenager, who is two years older than him.

(AN: The main cast are normally 3 years between them, besides Wendy who 12 years old, and Gajeel… I have no clue his age is, but I bet he in his early 20s in the canon, due to his looks, as well, his taste is maturer compared to the rest of them.)

Natsu recalled the first time the two of them met.

He remembers asking Zack, if he was related to Gray, after all, as Natsu askes this, Zack stripped himself naked before Natsu and the others once again, when Natsu asked that.

After that, Nastu being Natsu, challenged Zack to a fight, of course, the clueless teenager grinned and happily agreed, before someone smacked him around the head, and forcedly get him dressed.

The first time Natsu and Zack fought each other, was interesting to say.

Natsu is stronger, faster, and more powerful then Zack, and yet, even if Natsu has better specs and experience than Zack, fighting Zack was no means easy.

In the end, Natsu won the fight, and even enjoyed it, showing how much of a battle manic he truly is.

And then there was the second round they fight, which was Natsu win, but the third? Was a tie.

Natsu liked the fact, each time they fought, Zack becomes stronger, he learned from each time he either won or lose, as well tied against Natsu.

How can a battle manic like Natsu who loves to fight and eat, cannot like someone like Zack, who becomes stronger each time they fight? It is enjoyable when a fight becomes unclear who will win, who will lose.

Natsu recalled those fights, he recalled about that Six Styles, or whatever Zack calls them.

One thing about Zack, he is clueless in many areas.

To the point, if one were to ask the clueless teenager to learn his Magic systems and the Six Styles martial art thingy, the clueless teenager wouldn't blink twice to teach anyone.

Of course, Makarov prevented Zack from teaching his Magic to just anyone. But he didn't stop Zack from teaching others the Six Styles.

After all, as powerful the Six Styles are, they are not a Magic System, not to mention it still unknown how powerful they really are, because the only Six Styles user only has the basics down.

Natsu himself, is not interested in any other Magic systems besides his Fire Dragon Slayer Magic. Nor he is interested in martial arts itself.

It is funny to say that, when Natsu has a nature talent when it comes to hand to hand combat. And he also has the instincts of a martial artist as well.

(AN: On fandom, there is a list of characters from the canon who is good at hand to hand combat, from master level, elite level, and advanced level was the last one? Not sure, but I know, Natsu is in Master Level hand to hand combat, Gray is Elite Level, and Lucy is the advanced one. Erza is Master Level in weaponry, but Elite in hand to hand like Gray, of course, this is based in the fandom.)

However, as Natsu didn't have any interest in martial arts, it will be a lie to say he has no interest in this Six Style thing.

Shave that can cause Zack to move in an instant. Moon Steps (Or Moon Walk?), that allowed Zack to step in the air?

Natsu who seen them before, was shocked to feel no Magic Power involved, when Zack moved instantly or walked in the air, like he is flying.

Just imagining to fly like that himself, burnt Natsu's desires to fly like that. Wouldn't that look so cool!?

However… even if Natsu shamelessly asked Zack to teach him… why is this nonsense about kicking the air so fast, that creates an air barrier to step on? Wouldn't kicking the air just go through it??

"When I can do… that Moon Step thing…" Natsu went with a sigh, not realising the shock of betrayal look on Happy's face.

"D-Don't take away my purpose in life!!" Happy went with tears, causing the young Dragon to stop lazing around, as he tried to comfort the blue talking cat.

"No one is going to take away your purpose in life! It just looked cool you know, when Zack did it! Don't you think? Walking on the air! And you are also useful in other things besides flying you know!" Natsu went.

"Like what?" Happy askes, wiping the tears form his eyes.

"L-Like… like…" Natsu tried to comfort the blue talking flying cat… however, Natsu unable to think of anything else the cat is useful for, besides flying him around, or flying in general.

(AN: Happy is also very knowledgeable, even if he doesn't act like it, and he can be also cunning at times, but a fool as well. Or least that what fandom says. But I don't think Natsu will acknowledges that, since he very forgetful at times.)

"I-I knew it! Don't try to take away my identity, Natsu, you dummy!" Happy went, flying away.

"Wait Happy! Wait!!" Natsu went, not caring about the rest of the guild in the basement pub, also has their attention on the cat and dragon duo.

Natsu run after the blue cat, but Happy is too fast, causing Natsu to lose sight of him. Natsu knew he will return back sooner or later, it not the first time Happy run off like that. And pleasing his friend wasn't hard, he just needs to get a fish… or maybe two fishes, or a grilled one?

Natsu wondered, as he searched his pockets, only to found 50 Jewels, not even an enough for a single raw fish, since the cheapest of them prices around 120 Jewels.

"Oh, Natsu, you heading out?" A female voice was heard, and a teenager around Gray's age, with dark brown hair, and brown eyes, looked at Natsu, Cana Alberona her name is.

"Did you see Happy?" Natsu askes.

"Oh, you meaning the crying blue cat, that shouted 'Natsu you idiot~~!!', yes, he went outside the guild. You two fight, again?" Cana went with a grin, causing Natsu to flinched.

"Well about that…" Natsu went unsure what to say, she is a friend, if she was a stranger, he will tell them to buzz off. But it is true, this is his fault, yet again.

"Just get him a fish, wait, don't tell me, you run out of money again?" Cana askes, causing Natsu to look away, seeing her guess is spot on.

"Well, he returned sooner or later, anyway, I am off, I call hear the ale and wine calling my name~ See you around, Natsu." Cana went, while Natsu run out of the guild.

When he did, he recalled Zack's relationships with the follow guild members.

As Natsu and Zack are close within this past year. He is not the closet to Zack. The one who closest is shockingly… Mirajane.

Natsu always wondered how Zack doesn't fear that Majin.

Natsu knew Mirajane doesn't like him, she doesn't like anyone close to her siblings, due to her overprotective nature of hers.

While Mirajane doesn't like Natsu near Lisanna. She also doesn't forcedly tear them apart, properly knowing having someone around Lisanna's age helps her little sister a lot.

Of course, Natsu knew the moment he made her cry, a demonic claw will be attached on his head, along with a scary looking Mirajane who looks like she wanted to gut him alive.

Second person who close with Zack is Lisanna…

At first, for some reason, that he doesn't understand himself. Natsu felt uncomfortable seeing them together, when Lisanna laughed, or giggled at Zack, with his clueless or intentional actions.

Even now, Natsu has no clue why he felt so uncomfortable seeing that. However, that feeling soon faded with time, especially when Natsu understood Zack only regard both Lisanna and Elfman as his own siblings.

He didn't understand why he felt so relief when he found that out, causing the dense dragon to overlook that matter in time.

With Lisanna and Elfman being the second and third person close to Zack. The fourth person who closest to Zack, wasn't either himself or Gray, who also became close Zack. Nor it was Cana who invites Zack to drink with her from time and time again.

Causing the heavy drinker to be close with Zack, as the rest of them are.

The fourth person who is close with Zack, was no other than Erza herself.

The one who looked out for Zack the most, is Erza, because Zack always gets himself in trouble, Erza is the one who often has to deal with him. Not to mention, as the elder sister figure she is, she took it on herself, to look out and guide Zack, when he did something idiotic, which was a lot in the beginning.

And yet understandable, knowing that Zack knew basically nothing besides his Magic and survival skills.

Not to mention, there was a time when Zack askes Erza to teach him how to use weapons. Stating this Haki thingy he can use, can also infuse with weapons.

However… as that was true. Zack soon dropped that idea of using Haki infused into weapons.

That is because, while Zack can infuse this Haki Armament, or whatever it called into normal steel sword.

But the moment he tried to use Haki with a Magic Sword or any other Magic Item, for some reason, the Magic Item breaks apart when Haki is used with it, and if the Magic Item is of higher quality, it wouldn't break, but rebounds from Zack's hands.

(AN: Haki Spiritual Arts has anti-magic elements in this fanfic version, like Haki in One Piece makes all elements from Devil Fruit attacks useless in most cases against it.

This is the reason why Zack cannot use Magic Items along with Haki, since this altered version of Haki can block Magic phenomenon itself.)

As Zack didn't learn how to use any weapon, because of this. He still spars and chats with Erza, becoming close with the red haired young beauty.

However… closer she got with Erza, for some reason, scarier Mirajane became, when she noticed this. Natsu has no clue why Mirajane seems to bothered by this, it also seems the demon girl in question also has no clue why she liked this either.

However, if Zack is anything, he has some kind of senser when it comes to Mirajane, and always seems to calm her down, before things becomes chaotic…

Of course, sometimes before he could calm Mirajane down, or fails when Erza being Erza, telling Mirajane to stop being rude, which only made… the training grounds that Erza and Zack were using, to become a complete battle zone with those two tearing it apart with their demonic powers or swords.

Natsu felt his spine cold, recalling those times.

Even so, as Natsu looked around Magnolia for a certain flying blue cat, Natsu cannot helped to chuckle looking forward when Zack will return back from his mission, with that damned Gray.

It been a year since Zack Smasher has joined Fairy Tail, and a year since bounds between Zack and the rest of the members, besides Laxus and his group, came closer with each other.

They are a family, a bound thicker then blood itself, is how Natsu saw it.

But no one could imagine, a massive wave will hit Natsu and the others in the next very year. A wave that will affect everyone in the guild.

The wave that will make him feel like his heart ripped out of his chest.

The wave that will change the Strauss Siblings forever.

And a wave.

That will cause Zack Smasher to leave Fairy Tail.

Its 44, not 43... my bad, should I realised, I did the titles wrong. Anyway, with 10 chapters left, and 11 chapters done for vol.2... I wonder if I can finished off vol.2 before than, who knew.
