Fairy Tale: With Sin Of Pride

Chapter 134: Chapter 118: Mission

What is a dragon? Some say it is a colossal lizard with scales so immense that they shimmer like armor, their colors ranging from black to brilliant hues that glisten under sunlight. Dragons boast one or more pairs of immense wings, capable of stretching endlessly, like enormous hands reaching out to the heavens.

It was a day of celebration in the dwarven city—a day of transformation. The people rejoiced as their savior, Rhodes, brought with him a new era. His first decree would redefine the city's identity.

"By the will of Rhodes, the name of our city shall be no more! Today, we embrace a new name!"

The massive city gates bore fresh inscriptions, marking the end of "Dwarven City" and the beginning of something greater. The new name read:

Allies of Rhodes Federation.

The Dwarf King chuckled as he read the name aloud. "A federation signifies unity, a bond that transcends races and nations. And alliance—an alliance of hope. This is an audacious dream, to unite all beings under one banner."

Standing before the gathered citizens, the Dwarf King declared with conviction:

"We, the first members of this alliance, pledge to neither enslave nor harm others unprovoked. But should any dare to invade us, no matter how far they may be, they will meet their end!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, their voices carrying the weight of newfound purpose. Thus, the first national assembly of the Allies of Rhodes Federation concluded with resounding success.

---

On a mountaintop overlooking the city, Rhodes sat alone, his gaze fixed on the horizon. He had only recently decided to establish this federation, a place of sanctuary and faith. Slowly, his thoughts turned inward.

"Faith," he muttered. "Perhaps one day, I shall create gods."

The idea lingered in his mind, ambitious and yet tantalizingly possible. As he pondered, a notification rang in his consciousness.

Ding! Relationship sign-in successful. You have gained fire attribute chakra mastery. Due to world constraints, chakra has been converted into magic mastery.

Rhodes smiled faintly. Memories of the Uchiha clan from another world flickered in his mind—a family that wielded fire with unparalleled mastery.

"So, fire magic it is," he mused. "And perhaps... creation."

Above him, a lone eagle circled, its black feathers glistening against the sun. Its wings flapped vigorously, as though mirroring Rhodes' restless energy.

---

Moments later, the Dwarf King approached. "Sir, envoys from Kendias have arrived. They claim to congratulate us on the establishment of our federation."

Rhodes raised an eyebrow. "Congratulate us? Did we send them an invitation?"

"No, sir," the Dwarf King replied.

Rhodes smirked. "Then their presence is a farce. They didn't even bother to make a proper excuse. How amusing."

The Dwarf King nodded in agreement. "Their true purpose is likely to assess us—to test our strength."

Rhodes chuckled. "A weasel offering New Year's greetings to the chicken. Fine. Let's see what they want."

---

At the gates of the city, Kenyal, the crown prince of Kendias, stood in awe. The sight before him was nothing short of intimidating. The city's formidable defenses, crafted by dwarven ingenuity, shimmered with an ominous red glow.

"A city of dwarves… no, this is no longer just that," Kenyal muttered. "The new ruler has elevated them to a force we cannot underestimate."

Beside him, his younger brother Kenyaji, a notorious playboy, ogled the passing female elves. His lack of decorum made Kenyal's blood boil.

"Keep your eyes down," Kenyal hissed. "This is not our territory. I can't protect you here."

"What's the harm in looking?" Kenyaji scoffed. "It's not a crime."

Kenyal sighed, regretting his decision to bring his reckless brother along.

---

A young man emerged from the city gates, his demeanor calm yet commanding. He was human, a sign that the city had truly abolished slavery and embraced equality among races.

"Welcome," the man greeted. "We have prepared accommodations for you. Please follow me."

Kenyal nodded respectfully, but Kenyaji sneered. "This is the best you can do? Where's your king? Does he think so little of us that he won't even show his face?"

Kenyal's heart sank. He signaled a guard to restrain his brother, dragging the struggling prince to the rear. Turning back to their host, Kenyal bowed deeply.

"Please forgive his rudeness. We come in peace and with sincerity."

The young man's smile didn't waver. "Rest assured, his words hold no weight here. Follow me."

---

As their carriage entered the city, Kenyal's eyes widened at the sight of its bustling streets. Blacksmiths were everywhere, their forges blazing. Though a few new shops dotted the landscape, it was clear that this was a city built on steel and innovation.

"This place… it's unlike anything I've seen," Kenyal whispered, a mixture of awe and apprehension in his voice.

---

In a chamber overlooking the city, Rhodes listened as his subordinate recounted the encounter.

"That prince dared to insult us?" Rhodes asked, his tone unreadable.

"Yes, sir," the man confirmed.

Rhodes leaned back in his chair, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Let's see how far their courage takes them."

You know you only pay the difference when you upgrade your tier. So why not try that? New year is coming it'll be a good motivation for me.
