Fate: Edmund

Chapter 7: Chapter 7

"ahhhh... the fresh air from the foreign shore is great".

Edmund, after arriving in Japan the next morning, decided to visit the nearest beach to watch the sea.

He wanted his first experience on the beaches of Japan to be special, and what better opportunity than to do so as a prologue to the impending Holy Grail war.

"Ya, enough time. I have to call Waver to deliver my new creation."

Edmund left the beach minutes later and made a quick call to meet Waver at an agreed point. He arrived first at the location, an isolated wooden house at the foot of a mountain, carefully chosen to avoid attracting unwanted attention.

The last thing Edmund wanted was for Waver to become a target of Kiritsugu Emiya, known for his brutal efficiency in eliminating potential threats. Aware of this, Edmund had placed magical protections around the house, ensuring that no one could approach without his knowledge.

An hour later, Waver arrived, carrying on his shoulders the determination of one who knew there was no turning back. Seeing him, Edmund decided to make a light-hearted comment to break the ice:

"Now that we're in Japan...I've always wanted to use Japanese honorifics."

"From now until the Holy Grail War is over, I'll call you Waver-kun" Edmund smiled in satisfaction.

"All right... I think I'll do that too, Edmund-kun" Waver joined in the game, and the two exchanged laughter for a moment.

After the brief moment of camaraderie, Edmund adopted a more serious tone.

"What I came for... Waver-kun! Take this and these sheets. I want you to read them carefully after my departure. Also, this briefcase contains something essential for your participation."

He handed him a briefcase and a briefcase. Waver, curious, opened the briefcase, revealing seven vials filled with a reddish liquid reminiscent of blood, along with seven syringes.

"Use these ampoules wisely. Each one lasts for seven hours. What they do is amplify, augment and give greater capacity to the user's magic circuits. And please don't ask me how I made them."

Waver stared at the vials, amazed. Though curiosity gnawed at him, he decided not to ask questions, merely nodding silently.

"That's all. I'll be going now. Take care of yourself, Waver-kun, and watch out for the other participants. This Holy Grail War won't be easy, especially for you."

With those parting words, Edmund left the hut. He had prepared everything so that Waver would at least have a chance in the brutal competition ahead. The forest was protected with a magical barrier that deflected the attention of normal people, ensuring that no one would approach without a specific reason.

Edmund knew the war would be a test of wits, strategy and luck. With a sigh and a slight smile, he said to himself.

"it's time"

Yeah... I don't know what to say, I'll just say that this is a fanfic. Also, I lied... besides this fanfic, I was writing another one two weeks ago... the other one is a shokugeki no soma fanfic, one where there is no system and where you won't travel to other worlds, just a chef who died and was reincarnated in that world, its beginning is in Denmark, where he meets Ryō Kurokiba. I don't know, I'm just on chapter 17, I'll publish it after having at least 40 chapters, to publish it every day without inconveniences, although I don't know why I did it, I had this fanfic in mind for months, so I just let myself go and did it, I even liked how it's turning out hahaha.

After reviewing this fanfic, I feel that the chapters are very short, I thought about it and I think I will increase the words for the following chapters.

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
