Chapter 17: Intense fight
[Distribution Successful]
After the warm sensation that improved his mood faded, Liam looked at the Skeletal Giant struggling to break free from the webs that bound its feet.
Coldly, he ordered the Skeletal Spiders to continue shooting their webs, and commanded the Skeletal Bats to circle its head and annoy it.
Without hesitation, he sprinted with insane speed towards the giant.
In a flash, he reached it, then pulled out his last dagger and threw it at its skull.
Sparks flew from the impact point, and the dagger pierced the hard skull, causing a small crack to appear.
This enraged the Skeletal Giant. It roared fiercely and punched at Liam, who gracefully leaped back, easily dodging the blow that struck the ground.
Then, unexpectedly, he leaped onto the fist stuck in the ground and began running across it, heading towards the Giant's head.
His action was so sudden that the giant itself felt shocked, but it reacted quickly, swinging its arm, wanting to swat Liam away like an annoying insect.
"Ah"
Liam lost his balance and flew far away, nearing the ceiling of the room.
He looked at the distant ground below him with a terrified expression, feeling a bit dizzy.
However, he maintained his composure and quickly directed one of the nearby Skeletal Bats, which flew towards him and intercepted his fall.
Liam gracefully landed on the bat's back and exhaled in relief.
He then raised his head and looked forward, but his body froze when he found the giant's fist heading towards his face with insane speed.
"Fuck!"
His pupils constricted, and he quickly jumped high.
The Giant fist then struck the bat, shattering its skeletal body into fragments.
"You damn freak!" Liam cursed furiously.
He landed back on the giant's extended arm, then ran at maximum speed until he reached its face.
Without holding back his power, he swung his sword.
When the sword struck the Skeletal Giant's cheek, he felt his hand tremble, and sparks flew everywhere.
But despite the difficulty, he managed to pierce through the hard bone shell.
Without stopping, he pushed his sword through the giant's bones, leaving a large gash on its face over a meter long, extending from its cheek to its ear hole.
Liam felt a surge of happiness from that, but suddenly he felt the air behind him compress.
Without turning, he leaped like an annoying fly, sliding down the giant's spine and then clinging to one of its vertebrae.
At the same time, the giant slapped its own cheek. Stupidly, it pulled its hand back and looked at it, finding it empty.
Again, the large crack on its cheek began to heal, the dagger stuck in its head fell out, and the small wound it left healed.
Because he was standing on the Skeletal Giant's body this time, Liam noticed that its bones had become slightly smaller.
He smiled faintly, confirming his hypothesis.
Quickly, he began to climb over the giant's vertebrae until he reached the top of its head, and with immense force, he plunged his sword into the center of its skull.
Screech!
The giant roared in rage and began to shake its head wildly, wanting to get rid of the annoying human clinging to it.
But it was no use; Liam clutched his sword and held himself firmly in place. He wouldn't fall easily.
His black hair swayed in the wind, and his tattered clothes flapped.
In fact, a look of satisfaction appeared on his face, and he savored this feeling for a moment.
But after a short while, he felt a bit dizzy, and without noticing it, the giant swung its hand at him from a strange angle, attacking him.
The moment Liam sensed danger, it was too late.
The giant's enormous hand slapped him with such force that his snot flew everywhere.
He, himself, was sent flying like an insect, crashing into the ceiling of one of the walls.
"Aaah!"
"Fuuuuuuck!"
Liam groaned miserably. The impact he suffered was so severe that many of his bones cracked, some of his muscles tore, his eyes became bloodshot.
His consciousness was drifting, and he felt he was about to faint, but he shook his head and roused himself.
At that moment, he began to fall to the ground. Again, he ordered the remaining Skeletal Bat, which intercepted his fall.
However, Liam didn't land gracefully this time; he simply fell onto it.
Before he could even fully regain his senses, the giant attacked him again.
With the last remnants of his consciousness, he clung tightly to the bat's back and ordered it to flee.
The bat swiftly changed its course. Just then, the giant's arm swept past them, accompanied by a wave of air that caused the bat to lose its balance.
Liam quickly looked around and saw the giant directing another punch towards them.
He felt intense rage, but suddenly realized the bat wouldn't be able to dodge this strike.
In surrender, he let go of the Skeletal Bat and fell to the ground, forcing himself to land on his feet with difficulty.
The poor bat, meanwhile, was punched by the giant, sending it flying into the wall.
""You skull-faced bastard! You killed all my Tamed monsters!" Liam roared furiously, pointing his sword at the giant's face.
But he suddenly realized he was only holding the hilt; the sword's blade was still stuck in the giant's head.
Roar!
The giant indignantly charged towards him.
This terrified Liam, and without hesitation, he fled towards the distant wall.
"Sorry, you damn monster"
But the giant stumbled on the webs binding its feet and crashed to the ground.
The ground shook violently, and air rushed in every direction.
The moment Liam realized something was wrong, he turned and looked behind him.
He then saw the giant lying on the ground. A strange look appeared on his face, and he yelled, "Skeletal Spiders, bind it!"
Without delay, the Skeletal Spiders began throwing their webs, composed of threads as hard as metal and as sticky as glue.
Most of the webs landed on the giant's hands and arms, gluing them to the ground.
But that wasn't enough; with every movement from the giant, many of the webs were cut, forcing the Skeletal Spiders to work at their maximum capacity.
Liam didn't doubt the webs' strength, having had a difficult time with them himself.
His mind quickly analyzed the situation. After a second, he looked at the useless Skeleton that remained standing near the gate and said,
"You useless trash, go distract it!"
Despite the Skeleton's lack of intelligence, it felt insulted due to its connection with Liam.
Nevertheless, it didn't complain. It quickly moved towards the giant's head and began striking it with its battered sword.
Sparks flew with every blow, but it was useless.
The skeleton was so weak it couldn't even leave a scratch on the giant's skull.
Tremor!
The giant moved, trying to stand, but the dense webs around it hampered its efforts.
Still, it managed to free one of its hands, and without any mercy, it grabbed the small Skeleton in front of it and crushed it.
Then, it looked at Liam's location but found nothing.
The giant was puzzled and began scanning its surroundings.
But suddenly, Liam leaped from behind, landing on its skull, and began punching it with savage ferocity.
"Take this!"
He had previously exploited the short time the Skeleton bought him, sneaking behind the giant.
Wham!
Liam's punches were so powerful that the giant's skull filled with cracks after just a few blows, and its head even slammed into the ground.
Without a moment's rest, he continued to punch the giant.
Despite the difficulty due to his numerous injuries, he knew he wouldn't get an opportunity like this again.
At the same time, the Skeletal Spiders moved and cast more webs, completely restricting the giant's movement.
"Fuck you!"
After dozens of blows, the Skeleton's skull was filled with hundreds of cracks, and several large fractures and holes appeared.
Finally, Liam clasped his fists together, raised them high, and brought them down on the center of the giant's skull with all his remaining strength.
BOOM!
The giant's skull exploded, scattering bones everywhere, leaving a massive void in its head.
But Liam didn't stop; he continued to destroy the giant's head until he had turned it into scattered fragments.
