From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 477: The boy's reveal

Suddenly, monstrous forms began to materialize around them, summoned by the boy's command. Vale monsters, twisted and horrifying, emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent.

The boy grinned, his confidence restored. "You've done well to get this far, but it ends here," he jeered. The monsters advanced, their growls echoing through the battlefield.

-Meanwhile-

Vice Captain Masabi dropped onto the steel-plated floor, the clang echoing through the room. Across from him, a creature sat in silence, its presence heavy and foreboding.

"I take it you are one of the monsters in charge of attacking the humans?" Masabi asked, his voice steady and calm.

The creature opened its eyes with a clicking sound, the flesh around them peeling back to reveal large, fish-like eyes. "What are you to call me or us monsters?" it hissed, its voice grating and unnatural.

"You who have killed millions in conquest of power and control," Masabi replied, his tone unwavering and filled with quiet conviction.

Instead of waiting for a response, Masabi brought his hands together, closing his eyes. "I will pray to the heavens that your soul can be cleansed or that it may be used to strengthen the holy army. You who are wicked and prey on the weak, the only destination for yourself and others like you is death."

The creature sniffed the air, its nostrils flaring. "I smell the scent of Kieran here. Though she is no longer here, she was for a short period."

"Yes," the creature continued, "a subordinate of the King of Nothing and the Purgatory King."

Masabi, still with his eyes closed, responded, "The both of them working together? Two false kings still equal a false king at the end of the day, I fear." His voice remained calm, filled with an unshakable conviction.

The cold air in the room felt heavy, the tension between them almost tangible. Masabi could feel the chill of the steel floor seeping through his boots, the faint metallic taste of blood lingering in the air from previous battles.

"And those who would follow such are just as foolish," he finished, standing up and taking a deep breath. A wind of green energy began to swirl around him, its intensity growing with each passing second. The energy flowed like a raging tempest, wrapping around his arms and legs in a brilliant emerald blaze.

The air crackled with power, the green energy casting an otherworldly glow that pulsed rhythmically, like the heartbeat of a giant.

The green aura intensified, shimmering with a kaleidoscope of sparks that danced along his limbs, creating an almost tangible armor of light.

The energy was wild and fierce, yet it moved with a grace that mirrored Masabi's calm demeanor. It radiated heat and power, distorting the air around him and making his silhouette appear larger, more imposing.

"I imagine we aren't directly on the planet right now, so I don't have to worry about holding back?" Masabi said, his voice carrying a newfound depth as the energy continued to surge around him.

The creature stood up as well, its fish-like eyes narrowing. "We are meant to harvest the planet, to slowly move toward a united universe, and to have a king strong enough to rival everyone else. Then you won't be able to ignore us anymore! I will start by bringing your head, that of a vice captain, I presume?"

"You angelics are an annoying bunch, but once I eat your soul, I will only grow stronger and gain the right to be by my king's side," the creature growled, its voice dripping with malice.

The creature's head throbbed with anger. "I will show you just how strong I can be at full power, damnit! Something about—" Its words were cut off abruptly. The world around it seemed to spin in confusion. "What the hell is going on?"

"So you can still get words out when your head has been detached?" Masabi's voice was calm and mocking.

The severed head of the creature looked behind Masabi, seeing its own body still standing, fist clenched and twitching.

"Wh-what the hell?!" the creature gasped, its eyes wide with disbelief.

"Guess I will have to disintegrate your entire body to make sure you die," Masabi said coldly, his green energy still flickering around him, illuminating the scene with an eerie glow.

Masabi then sighed and changed his tone to something more casual. "But honestly, maybe we can strike a deal? You apologize for all the murdering and stuff and tell me who your secret partner is. I know you Vale monsters aren't smart and cunning like the Demons, but at the same time, the Demons don't like you bunch, so they wouldn't have teamed up with you."
