Future Me and My Love

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Wedding Shopping Chaos

Lee's Worst Nightmare Begins

Lee stood outside a massive shopping mall, staring at the bright signs and endless stores. She sighed.

"This is a bad idea."

Gen stretched beside her, looking excited. "Oh, come on, babe. Shopping is fun!"

Lee crossed her arms. "First of all, don't call me that. Second, I hate shopping."

Gen smirked. "Too bad. You're getting married, sweetheart. You gotta look perfect for our big day."

Lee rolled her eyes. "It's a fake wedding."

Gen gasped dramatically. "How dare you call our sacred bond fake?"

Lee gave her a blank stare. "You suggested it."

Gen grinned. "Details, details. Now let's go before I carry you inside."

Lee groaned but followed Gen into the mall.

The Suit Hunt—For Gen

The first stop was a fancy bridal store. White gowns, lace veils, and sparkling jewelry filled the place. Lee already felt suffocated.

A saleswoman approached with a bright smile. "Welcome! Are you the lovely couple getting married?"

Lee froze. "No, we're—"

Gen wrapped an arm around her waist. "Yes, we are." She turned to Lee and whispered, "Let's just go with it. Less explaining."

Lee sighed. "Fine."

The saleswoman clapped her hands. "Wonderful! Let's start with dresses."

Lee's face turned pale. "Dresses? Plural?"

Gen smirked. "Oh, I'm not wearing a dress."

Lee blinked. "What?"

Gen grinned. "I'm getting a suit."

Lee stared. "A suit?"

Gen nodded. "Yup. You're the princess today."

Lee groaned. "Absolutely not."

Gen smirked. "Too late. I already decided."

The saleswoman looked delighted. "Oh, how unique! Let me show you our best suits."

Lee sighed. "I hate this already."

Gen's Suit Disaster

Twenty minutes later, Gen came out of the dressing room in a white suit with gold embroidery.

Lee stared. "…You look like a mafia boss."

Gen grinned. "A hot mafia boss."

Lee snorted. "Try again."

Gen pouted but went back inside. She came out in a sleek black suit with a fitted vest.

Lee blinked. Okay, this one was actually—

"You like it, don't you?" Gen teased.

Lee looked away. "No."

Gen grinned. "Liar."

Lee groaned. "Just pick something."

Gen winked. "This one. I want my wife to drool at the altar."

Lee turned red. "I'M CHANGING."

Gen laughed as Lee rushed into the dressing room.

Lee's Turn—A Long Wedding Dress

Lee stood in front of a rack of wedding dresses, feeling awkward.

Gen popped up beside her. "Go on. Pick one."

Lee frowned. "I don't want anything too fancy."

Gen smirked. "Oh, I already picked for you."

Lee's stomach dropped. "What did you do?"

Gen grinned and held up a dress.

It was long, elegant, with soft lace details and a flowing train.

Lee's eyes widened. "No."

Gen pouted. "Yes."

Lee shook her head. "I can't wear that."

Gen tilted her head. "Why not?"

Lee muttered, "It's too… much."

Gen's expression softened. "It's beautiful. And so are you. Just try it on."

Lee hesitated, then sighed. "Fine."

She took the dress and went inside.

Lee in a Dress—Gen Can't Handle It

A few minutes later, Lee stepped out.

Gen froze.

Her usual teasing smirk disappeared. She just… stared.

Lee shifted uncomfortably. "What?"

Gen blinked. "Damn."

Lee frowned. "What?"

Gen walked around her slowly. "You look… amazing."

Lee's face turned red. "Shut up."

Gen grinned. "No way. My wife is breathtaking."

Lee sighed. "It's just a dress."

Gen smirked. "Nope. It's your dress."

Lee looked at herself in the mirror. She had to admit—it did look good.

Gen leaned closer. "Now I can't wait for the wedding."

Lee pushed her away. "You're the worst."

Gen chuckled. "And yet, you're still marrying me."

Lee groaned.

Jewelry & More Arguments

Next, they had to pick jewelry.

Lee grabbed a simple silver necklace. "This is enough."

Gen frowned. "No earrings? A little sparkle?"

Lee shook her head. "I don't need sparkle."

Gen sighed dramatically. "You're no fun."

Lee smirked. "Yet you're still marrying me."

Gen grinned. "Touche."

For herself, Gen picked diamond earrings and a watch.

Lee eyed the price tag. "That's expensive."

Gen shrugged. "You're marrying a rich woman, sweetheart."

Lee rolled her eyes. "It's a fake wedding."

Gen winked. "And you're still my wife, fake or not."

Lee muttered, "I regret everything."

Gen just smiled.

Shoe Shopping Disaster

The last stop was shoes.

Lee picked simple white heels. "These are fine."

Gen raised an eyebrow. "Can you even walk in those?"

Lee scoffed. "Of course I can."

Two seconds later—Lee tripped.

Gen caught her before she fell. "Uh-huh. Totally graceful."

Lee pouted. "Shut up."

Gen smirked. "Nah, I like teasing you."

Lee sighed. "I hate you."

Gen chuckled. "Love you too, wifey."

The Final Bill & The End of Sanity

At the counter, the cashier added up everything.

Gen happily handed over her card.

Lee stared at the total. "This is robbery."

Gen waved her off. "Relax. It's for our big day."

Lee muttered, "More like my funeral."

Gen giggled. "Come on, let's celebrate. Ice cream?"

Lee sighed. "Fine."

Gen grinned. "See? I knew you'd say yes."

Lee rolled her eyes but hid a small smile.

As they walked out of the mall, Gen threw an arm around Lee's shoulder. "Can't wait to see you in that dress, babe."

Lee smirked. "And I can't wait to see you trip in that suit."

Gen gasped. "RUDE."

Lee just laughed.

This wedding was going to be chaos.
