He used to be particular about his sleeping environment and often needed some time to adjust after moving. But now, he had no choice in the matter. He frequently switched between different residences, and his physical constitution had already been remodeled, significantly improving his sleep quality.

Without a doubt, Bai Zhongqi was somewhat more satisfied with his new home. After all, he had personally designed not just the new Chancellor's official residence but even the surrounding terrain and landscapes. The mountain was not tall, just a few hundred meters above sea level, and the terrain was gentle. At the summit, there was an entirely flat area of several dozen square kilometers, which was where Bai Zhongqi had decided to build his official residence.

The scenery here was picturesque, with the vast sea just a stone's throw away. Bai Zhongqi had managed to keep the humidity within an acceptable range. Although it was a tropical environment, Iridium Star Technology ensured that the temperature on this mountain peak did not get too extreme, staying between 15-25 degrees Celsius.

Apart from the building itself, there was an automated defense system set up by Bai Zhongqi, which could even withstand combat with space-air warships in the sky; the energy shield was also outstanding. There were berths available for mid-sized space-air warships, and transportation to and from Tai Ping City was comparatively convenient.

It was only when Bai Zhongqi had truly arrived on this mountain that he began to feel a sense of pride in everything he had designed.

In the small garden in front of the residence, an array of native ornamental plants from Iridium Star had been uniquely arranged. The flowers, delicate and multicolored, grew on vines and hung from the waterside pavilions.

Iridium Star's Prime Minister Du Peng and Scientific Research Institute researcher Linyin sat by a modest yet elegant white wooden table, with a tea set of a particularly Chinese style laid out on it, exuding an especial inviting fragrance.

Linyin proudly explained, "Your Majesty, I have developed a customized application that can be used on smartphones based on the Brain Worm's characteristics. It allows the phone to emit vibrations at a specific frequency range.

These vibrations have no effect on humans, but for the Brain Worm, which has a particularly sensitive nervous system, it will make them feel extremely uncomfortable, even to the point of causing disruptions in their control over their hosts."

Bai Zhongqi laughed and said, "With this gadget, it will be more convenient for Earth people to deal with the Brain Worms hiding among them."

Techniques for detecting Brain Worms had already been developed by Iridium Star, but most required certain levels of equipment that could not be widely distributed for general population use. Linyin's new technology could change that situation.

Du Peng, ever so refined, took a sip of tea and addressed Bai Zhongqi, "Your Majesty, we now have a general understanding of the Brain Worm's infiltration in the power and business sectors of Western countries. If we act, we can exterminate them all at once. After the construction of Spratly Island, some mainstream Western media have once again criticized our actions harshly.

Some polls show that the antagonism of the public in many countries towards the Star Alliance has exceeded half, and in some nations, over seventy percent."

Bai Zhongqi continued to smile, "If antagonism could harm our United Empire, I fear it would have perished long ago. Whether these people are incited by the media with ulterior motives, or hold their own opinions, they are incapable of altering what is currently happening, nor can they change the future of this planet."

Du Peng nodded in agreement with Bai Zhongqi's words, "With Miss Linyin's new technology, once Your Majesty formally announces to the world the existence of Brain Worms, people will naturally begin a purge of the Brain Worms among them.

Combined with Star Alliance's comprehensive eradication campaign against the United Heart Society's Brain Worms, we will be able to adjust the power structure of this planet in a short time and truly become the masters of this world."

Indeed, the war—ostensibly about C-country's island-building in opposition to external forces like Lighthouse Country, or as the Thucydidean trap competition for global leadership between old and new hegemonic powers—was fundamentally about Bai Zhongqi using war to provoke the old international order and to destroy the Brain Worms' influence and control over human society on this planet.

Bai Zhongqi had identified the key locations of the United Heart Society, and was confident of uprooting them in one fell swoop, eliminating tens of thousands of parasitic monsters on Earth that had consumed real humans and walked among human society in their guise.

Building in the Spratly Islands, aside from Bai Zhongqi's desire to settle on Earth and study the Elder Race's Homeland Stone more thoroughly, had another motive: it was the last chess piece to disrupt the existing Earth order.

In this war of old versus new powers, Bai Zhongqi would shake everything established by Brain Worms. War spurred panic and compelled the Brain Worms to act hastily, attempting all means to prevent the collapse of the system they had created. The more they moved, the more slips would be exposed.

But Brain Worms are clearly not, and if this unknown species were to really expand on Earth, then humanity would be finished.

Bai Zhongqi certainly knew that with the current attributes of the Brain Worm species, a large-scale expansion was not a possibility, but other people did not know this. When Earthlings start to panic about Brain Worms, they will no longer see the Star Alliance as an enemy.
