Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Betrayer
After breathing out two breaths of dragon flame, Drogon saw that Rhaegal and Viserion had flown behind him, so he flew across the courtyard towards the large number of Qartheen outside the door, breathing out dragon flame as he flew.
The people outside the door looked at their companions who had turned into charred corpses while howling in agony. Most of them had lost their fighting spirits. Only the warriors at the back of the team boldly threw spears at Drogon, but in their panic they had no accuracy and were easily avoided by Drogon.
Although the spear did not cause any harm to Drogon, it aroused his anger. After being reborn as a dragon, he hated the spear the most.
Abandoning the warriors under him, Drogon flapped his wings and glided quickly above the warrior throwing the spear. He blew a huge breath of dragon flame at him, and watched him wailing in the fire before turning around to attack the others.
The Dothraki in the courtyard reacted quickly after witnessing Drogon burning the Qartheen. After Rhaegal and Viserion burned a few more people to death, they immediately rushed out of the courtyard and killed the panicked Qartheen.
More than fifty Qartheen were quickly wiped out through burning and hacking.
The wailing and the flames attracted many Qartheen to watch. They opened their eyes wide in horror and could not close their mouths. They were fortunate enough to witness the horrifying scene of three dragons roasting a living person.
After burning dozens of people in a row, Drogon's hidden ferocity was completely aroused. Looking at the Qarth people around him, he seemed to feel the despair and helplessness of being despised and excluded everywhere after Daenerys's arrival.
"Hiss!" An angry roar mixed with black smoke and sparks was directed at the surrounding Qartheen people.
"hiss!"
"hiss!"
Two fierce roars were heard immediately afterwards. Seeing the fierce eyes of the three dragons ready to devour someone, the people of Qartheen no longer cared to watch the excitement and fled in all directions in fear, fearing that they would be mistaken for accomplices of the invaders.
After looking down at the fleeing crowd and finding no suspicious people, Drogon slowly descended to the ground.
The Dothraki who escaped the disaster looked at Drogon's three dragons with admiration as they landed on the ground. Then they began to pick up weapons and shields and drag the charred corpses.
"Ah!" A woman's scream was suddenly heard. Drogon turned his head and saw Viserion stepping on a charred corpse and grinning at the woman who was dragging the corpse.
There was flame roiling in the tiny throat, ready to burst out at any time. No wonder it scared the not-so-weak Dothraki woman.
Seeing the woman retreat and avoid him, Viserion snorted, lowered his head and picked up the charred corpse at his feet.
Drogon felt very uncomfortable watching Viserion trying to eat a human corpse, and Viserion almost breathed flames at doreah, which reminded Drogon of the corpse of a three-year-old girl that was burnt by one of the three dragons in the previous episode.
Flying next to Viserion, Drogon stretched out his claws to hold down his claws that were digging at the charred corpse, and at the same time let out a roar from his mouth.
Rhaegal, who was about to imitate Viserion and eat the charred corpse, saw Viserion being stopped and heard the meaning of Drogon's roar, so he also stopped his claws.
Unable to eat the delicious and tender food right in front of his mouth, Viserion anxiously withdrew his claws and raised his head to bare his teeth at Drogon in protest.
Seeing that the younger brother who had been taught a lesson yesterday still dared to bare his teeth at him, Drogon, who had just killed dozens of people and was still ferocious, pressed Viserion's golden little head on the charred corpse with one claw.
Viserion stretched his neck in frustration, supported himself with his wings, and scratched the ground with his claws to try to get up, but Drogon was too strong and his neck was too long, so he could not get up at all.
After struggling for a few times but failing to get up, he also pulled yesterday's wound. Then he remembered the painful experience of being beaten yesterday. He had no strength to struggle anymore and let out a whimper that sounded almost like begging for mercy.
That was almost the case. Hearing Viserion surrender, Drogon slowly loosened his claws and glanced at Rhaegal who was making small movements next to him, intentionally or unintentionally. She was so scared that she quickly retracted her claws from the charred corpse.
"Not stupid at all! You know how to act according to the instructions." Drogon was very satisfied with the performance of the little female dragon Rhaegal.
Seeing that the two dragons were completely tamed, Drogon glanced at the crowd who were looking at him in surprise, found the little maid Jhiqui, and nodded to her. The little maid opened her mouth and looked at him with puzzled almond eyes, not knowing what was going on.
Drogon was speechless for a moment. How could humans not be as smart as dragons? He had to turn around and look at Rhaegal and Viserion who was hanging his head. Jhiqui immediately understood what Drogon meant and asked her to grill meat for Rhaegal and the others.
Drogon could tame two dragons, but he could not suppress their instinctive desires. They still had to be given food, and as for the other desire... they were still young and didn't understand anything.
With the barbecue ready, the two dragons immediately began to feast on it. Having just made a contribution, Jhiqui certainly would not let them fight with each other for food.
After a while, after eating and drinking their fill, Rhaegal and Viserion were basking in the sun with their bellies exposed like big bosses again. It was completely hard to tell that they were the little dragons who had just been oppressed by Drogon.
Compared with their comfort, Doreah, who was tied to a pillar opposite, looked much more miserable. Her hair was disheveled, her body was covered with bruises, and she had been beaten by almost every Dothraki. She was desperately waiting for Daenerys' final judgment.
"Drogon! Rhaegal! Wei..." Daenerys shouted the little dragon's name and rushed into the burned courtyard gate in panic.
The three dragons who were enjoying the sun heard the shouting and looked towards Daenerys, whose face was covered with tears.
"Are you... okay?" Before Daenerys could even call out Viserion's name, she saw three dragons lying in the courtyard in an indecent posture, basking in the sun.
Did the gate collapse during their fight? Did they burn the people as well? Just as she was wondering, Daenerys saw Doreah tied to a pillar.
"jhiqui, what's going on?" She felt that things were not that simple.
"Khaleesi, a group of people just broke in. If it weren't for Drogon and the others, we might have all been killed..." Jhiqui said with lingering fear.
The more Daenerys listened, the more frightened she became. She walked over, threw her arms around Drogon's neck, and gave him a big kiss on his scaly face.
"Thank goodness you, Drogon."
The people she left in the manor were simply unable to resist more than fifty Qartheen warriors. The end result was that people were killed and dragons were robbed. She didn't expect that Drogon and the others had become so powerful.
[Just a bunch of small fry.] drogon didn't care.
"hiss..."
Seeing Daenerys kissing and hugging Drogon, Rhaegal beside her let out a cry of displeasure, and Viserion also moved closer to Daenerys.
[These two little dragons haven't learned much, but they've learned how to compete for favor first!] drogon was a little speechless about them.
Hearing Drogon's complaints, Daenerys smiled. She couldn't favor one over the other, so she hugged both dragons, Rhaegal, and kissed them each.
After calming the two dragons, Daenerys's face changed. She came to Doreah, the maid who had taught her how to have sex, raised her hands and slapped her twice.
"You have accompanied me from Pentos to the Dothraki Sea and across the Red Waste. Why would you betray me now?"
