Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Shinx Shows Its Might

Hearing the voice, Xiao Wang finally let out a sigh of relief.

If something had happened to the Yuheng Star, she wouldn't have lived to see the next sunrise.

A few moments later, the dust settled.

Keqing emerged, covered in dirt, her expression dark enough to drip water.

"Xiao Wang, I believe you owe me an explanation."

Keqing's voice was calm, but everyone around her could feel the storm brewing beneath.

"…Yes, Lady Keqing."

Xiao Wang let out a helpless sigh. This was her failure, and she wasn't even sure if she'd still have a job after today.

But at least the worst hadn't happened—that was some form of luck.

Still, she was puzzled.

She had personally inspected the bridge three times, and every time, it had passed.

Its structure, materials, and construction all met the required standards.

So why had it suddenly collapsed?

"Meow!"

Suddenly, Shinx, who had been sitting quietly on Keqing's shoulder, let out a sharp cry.

Its fur bristled, standing on end, its body trembling slightly.

"What's wrong…?"

Keqing was just about to ask when a powerful sense of danger surged within her.

This sixth sense had saved her countless times in the wild.

And now, she didn't hesitate—her hand reached up, ready to pull the hairpin from her head and escape.

But before she could move, her peripheral vision caught sight of something.

A spinning, earth-colored ball hurtling through the air.

Years of wilderness survival made her realize exactly what it was.

A Geovishap Hatchling!

A monster—inside Liyue Harbor?!

Keqing cursed internally, her long sword materializing in her hand, but—

It was too late!

"Meow!" BAM!

Just as the attack was about to strike, a sharp cry rang in her ear, followed by a dull thud.

Gasps echoed through the crowd.

They had seen it clearly—

Just as Lady Keqing emerged from the smoke, a spinning Geovishap hatchling had launched a surprise attack.

Even worse, Keqing hadn't reacted in time.

And then—

A blue-black streak had suddenly shot off Keqing's shoulder like a bolt of lightning, slamming into the Geovishap with full force.

The impact had been just enough—the Geovishap's trajectory shifted slightly, missing Keqing's head by mere inches before crashing into the ground.

The blue-black figure flipped midair with the grace of a hawk, landing smoothly on the ground.

And now, everyone could see it clearly.

It was Keqing's tiny kitten.

No—Shinx.

It had used Quick Attack to forcefully knock the Geovishap off course.

"Shinx, that was amazing!"

Keqing praised the Pokémon excitedly, flipping her palm—a long sword materialized in her grasp.

The Geovishap was still struggling to get up, its soft underbelly fully exposed in the sunlight.

Keqing didn't hesitate.

Her Vision glowed, crackling Electro energy coiling around her blade.

"Sword sharper than thunder—cut through all that is impure!"

A cold voice echoed.

Accompanied by the roar of lightning, a brilliant purple glow illuminated the battlefield.

Lightning flashed, forming shadows of blades in the air.

This was Keqing's ultimate technique, the pinnacle of her Yunlai Swordsmanship—

Starward Sword!

Swords rained down, carving deep, glowing wounds into the Geovishap.

A storm of electricity and slashes shredded the monster relentlessly.

And then—

With one final, thunderous strike, its life force vanished completely.

Keqing withdrew her blade.

Shinx, watching from the side, stared at the crackling lightning in awe.

"When will I be strong enough to do that…?"

---

"Lady Keqing… are you alright?"

Xiao Wang rushed over, visibly shaken.

That was too close—if the little Pokémon hadn't reacted in time, the consequences would have been dire.

"I'm fine. So it looks like we found the real culprit behind the bridge collapse."

Keqing turned toward the Millelith captain who had just arrived.

"Resume construction. But before that, I want the Millelith to thoroughly search the area. Make sure this doesn't happen again."

"Yes, Lady Keqing!"

Both Xiao Wang and the Millelith captain nodded in unison.

Xiao Wang, meanwhile, finally felt a weight lifted from her chest.

Her job was safe—for now.

"Alright, get back to work."

With that, Keqing turned and walked away—Shinx proudly following in stride.

She still had a lot to do.

---

As soon as Keqing left, the entire crowd erupted into murmurs.

This was perfect gossip material.

They'd be talking about this over drinks for weeks!

But the sharpest merchants weren't focused on Keqing at all.

The most shocking part of the entire event…

Wasn't Keqing.

It was her Pokémon.

That tiny blue kitten—Shinx.

That little creature—

With its small body, it had knocked away a rolling Geovishap hatchling.

A Geovishap was one of the most fearsome monsters in Liyue.

Experienced merchants knew how dangerous they were.

Most ordinary Vision holders couldn't even handle one.

A rolling Geovishap was like an unstoppable boulder, capable of tearing through Millelith formations with ease.

Yet this terrifying monster had been knocked aside…

By a tiny, seemingly harmless kitten.

A few people silently left the crowd.

They were going to investigate.

Where exactly…

Had Keqing gotten that Pokémon?

---

Meanwhile, at Pokémon Home, Li Pan was lounging in a rocking chair, basking in the warm afternoon sun.

Landorus, wielding a shovel, was eyeing an empty patch of dirt in the backyard.

Every now and then, it would draw lines in the soil.

According to Landorus, if it didn't plan out the land properly, it wouldn't be able to rest easy.

Li Pan didn't mind at all.

As long as it kept itself busy, he wasn't going to stop it.

Then—

The sound of a door opening.

A customer.

Li Pan immediately sat up from the chair.

"Welcome!"

A Millelith soldier stepped inside.
