Genshin Impact: Starting from Liyue to Build Infrastructure

Albedo got busy after a while.

The device in his hand was finally completed.

This device was actually similar to a signaling instrument; however, it functioned both ways. It could connect to the Void System and then convert the signal into a network connection. Essentially, it could link the network with the Void System.

It took Albedo a long time to figure out these mechanics. Since the device was powered by the Heart of God, there were some similarities between them. However, modifications were necessary before it could successfully breach the system.

After finishing the modifications, Albedo said, "Alright. Go ahead and try to connect."

After saying this, he directly activated the instrument in front of him. As the device powered up, various data began to display on the nearby computer.

Takumi stepped forward and observed the constantly scrolling data on the screen. He nodded thoughtfully.

"Is the decryption already in progress? I see..."

Takumi quickly grasped the principles behind Albedo's work.

"Use your ability to enhance this instrument. It still feels insufficient!" Albedo suggested while analyzing the data. 

Since the Void System was tied to a Heart of God, breaching it wouldn't be so simple.

Hearing Albedo's request, Takumi nodded. Without hesitation, he activated the power of the Herrscher of Reason and began upgrading the device. After a quick analysis, he formulated an improvement plan. Without delay, he implemented the necessary upgrades, making the device significantly more efficient.

Takumi then turned his attention back to the computer screen, where various data continued to stream. It seemed as though the system was making adjustments.

Seeing this, Takumi said, "Nuwa, take over the computer and attempt to connect to the Void System."

As soon as Takumi gave the order, Nuwa, the artificial intelligence, took control of the system.

Albedo, witnessing the sudden acceleration of data processing, was taken aback. "What is this?" he asked, puzzled.

"Artificial intelligence," Takumi explained. "Created by Ei. It manages Liyue's network now. Nuwa, grant Albedo access."

As Takumi finished speaking, a small avatar appeared on Albedo's phone. Intrigued, Albedo immediately began studying it.

A moment later, Nuwa's voice rang out. 

"[Signal connected.]"

Takumi's eyes lit up, while Albedo paused his examination to focus on the task at hand.

Takumi placed his hand on the device and activated the power of the Herrscher of Reason. He connected to the Void System and began analyzing it.

"Tsk tsk! Amazing," he muttered.

The Void System was essentially another network system but far more advanced, with a vast database and a different mode of existence. Having successfully entered the system, Takumi began decrypting it. Once inside, he realized that breaking through was simpler than expected.

Just as he started extracting data, a small voice rang in his ear. A rune, resembling a Bluetooth earpiece, materialized beside him.

"You... who are you?"

Takumi's eyes widened in surprise.

"Nahida?" He recognized the voice immediately.

He had only just begun, yet Nahida had already detected his presence. He had expected to have more time before being noticed.

"You... who are you?" Nahida repeated, clearly unsettled.

In Sumeru, very few knew Nahida's existence. The sages of the Akademiya had intentionally diminished her presence, making her almost unknown to the people. Yet, this intruder not only broke in effortlessly but also knew exactly who she was.

As Takumi continued downloading the Void System's knowledge, he stored the data within the Heart of God on his side. Nuwa assisted in the process, allowing massive amounts of information to be copied efficiently.

"I am Takumi. From Liyue," he answered casually. "You're in Sumeru, so you must have heard of me, right?"

After a brief pause, Nahida responded, "It's you? Wait... are you stealing knowledge?"

Realizing what was happening, Nahida panicked as she saw knowledge rapidly being copied.

Takumi, however, remained nonchalant. "How can the work of scholars be called robbery? I'm simply making a copy for research purposes. In return... let me help you educate those stubborn sages."

A mischievous grin formed on Takumi's face. He never had any fondness for the so-called sages of the Akademiya.

Nahida was stunned. "You... you can't do this. You'll cause a diplomatic incident!"

Though alarmed, Nahida quickly composed herself. If Takumi's actions were discovered, Sumeru would not stand idly by.

Takumi, however, simply chuckled. "Diplomatic incident? I'm not afraid of that. And besides, as long as I don't get caught, no one will know I did it. If you don't believe me, check for yourself—can you track my location now?"

Nahida tried to locate him within the Void System but found that his presence was completely hidden. If he wanted to, he could even sever all connections to the system.

"The Akademiya manages the Void System, right?" Takumi continued. "Well, let's see how long that lasts."

If anyone attempted to interfere with the Void System now, Takumi could shut them down instantly.

For now, however, he had no intention of going that far. There was still too much knowledge to acquire first.

Nahida fell silent.

She realized the entire Void System was now under an invisible force's control. Yet, no one else had noticed. Not even the so-called sages had a clue about what was happening.

Even when massive amounts of data were being copied, only she was aware.
