Chapter 537: Advanced Shelter and New Recruits
Shane looked at the message of the system as soon as he agreed to pay the 1,000 Spirit Points to activate the Advanced Shelter Crystal.
[ Spirit Points deducted: 1,000.]
[ Generating Territory: Please wait… ]
[ Area claimed successfully. Zone established: 850 meters x 850 meters. ]

Everyone knew that there would be a new shelter to be magically built, so no one was alarmed by the sudden shake of the ground.
They all waited and watched as a bright light formed around the area where Shane stood…
Then, the ground started shifting and expanding as walls of reinforced alloy and stone rose from nothingness.
Thud… Thud… Thud…
The once-empty clearing transformed into particles of light before forming the structures of the Advanced Shelter!
Suddenly, massive gates materialized at the front.
Watchtowers sprouted at key locations, followed by the two automated defense turrets. Then, the ten Ballista also appeared on top of the wall!
Shane smiled after seeing this progress.
Soon, buildings, streets, and even an underground power grid took shape, powered by Solar-Energy Cells and an independent Geothermal Reactor embedded deep beneath the surface.
Shane could see this all with the help of the map that the system was showing to him.
When the light finally faded, what stood before them was not just a shelter—it was a fortress!
'This Advanced Shelter Crystal is too good… It's a pity I only have one of them.' Shane muttered as he saw the high walls and the buildings that had come with it.
He still had other Shelter Crystals but they were just Intermediate or Beginner rank. He couldn't help but have the desire to get more Advanced Shelter Crystals.
In any case, he was already quite happy with this result.
He had a huge place capable of housing 1,000 survivors. With Cloud and Anima's help, he would soon turn this shelter into a powerful fortress with several advanced technologies. He wouldn't mind spending all of his Zombie Cores and Reputation Points to make that.
"Let's see…" Shane muttered as he looked at the Command Center as the center of the settlement…
Then, there were also the barracks, medical facilities, a trading hub, a research lab, and even a hydroponics farm that could be seen. It seemed that everything a thriving settlement needed had been built in an instant.
Then, the system notifications came in.

"It's complete…" Shane muttered as he looked at the information of his new territory and gave a satisfied nod.
It was no wonder that any Shelter Crystal was extremely expensive. After all, he probably was the only one with Territory Lord Title.
With that title, he could own or expand his land and chase out the low-tier or mid-tier Zombies approaching it with the title's effect.
However, it was different for others, since claiming land or territory doesn't give them any assistance from the system.
Apparently, Shane even has the option to expand this land right now thanks to his Territory Lord effect!
[ You have all the requirements to expand your territory. ]
[ Do you wish to expand your territory? ]
"Yes…" Shane answered without hesitation.
[ Territory Expansion Successful. ]
Just like that, Shane was notified that his land expanded by another 100 meters around it.
He still had to clear the place if he wanted to place a wall there but Shane decided to just focus on developing his current territory. He simply agreed with the expansion to push away any remaining Zombies lurking around.
"This is unreal," Lysandra murmured, staring up at the automated turrets positioned on the walls. "It's a damn fortress."
"We needed a stronghold," Shane said, flexing his fingers. "Now we have one."
Nia whistled as she glanced at the medical center. "This facility looks good. Is it empty?" She asked.
"No… It's fully stocked and operational." Shane said proudly.
Vernon then walked around the gates as he couldn't help but feel safe within the walls of this new shelter… "These walls will hold against any siege. I think I'm ready for the next Zombie Wave. Even a Lord-Tier Zombie would probably struggle to breach this place."
"Ahem… Don't jinx that… Let's hope that no Lord Tier Zombie will escape again." Lysandra interjected as she certainly didn't want to test their walls against powerful Zombie Lords.
Kale chuckled at their conversation as he looked around and felt that this place was a bit too large for them.
Lysandra also noticed that the place was too quiet and lonely with just their small group here.
"Shane… You can finally recruit more people… Should we take those people you bought and left in the Silver Mine Camp?" Lysandra asked as she remembered those intriguing people Shane recruited.
She actually felt interested in those people as she could tell that they had special skills that Shane needed.
"I'll do that later… and we don't need to return to Silver Mine Camp to do that." Shane said as he already had Gate Stones prepared for that.
Shane then turned toward the entrance of their new command center. "Then let's get to work."
"Ahh… Wait… Meadow's Fort doesn't really sound that great." Shane muttered. Thankfully, the name of the shelter could be changed. So, he looked at his companions and asked.
"Can you guys suggest a name for this shelter?"
The group looked at him for a moment. They were confused by the sudden question, so he immediately explained.
"We need a name," Shane said as he smiled at his team. He wanted them to at least participate in the creation of his shelter.
"This is our new home now, and it should have an identity of its own."
Lysandra immediately crossed her arms and smirked. "How about 'Sanctuary of the Phoenix'? You know, because we rose from the ashes of the apocalypse."
Vernon snorted. "That sounds too dramatic. Why not something simple and imposing, like 'Strongest Fortress'?"
"Sounds like a name given by a true man," Kale commented, rubbing his chin. "I like it..."
As a Gladiator, it seemed that Kale's naming sense wasn't as great as Shane thought. Although he also wasn't that good with this, he believed that the Silver Mine Camp was quite an awesome name as it also suited its purpose.
As for this shelter, he wasn't sure if it could really become the Strongest one.
Nia, who had been quietly listening, suddenly perked up. "What about something elegant? Like 'Eternal Haven'? It sounds welcoming and safe."
Lysandra shot her a look. "Are we running a survival shelter or a five-star resort?"
Shane chuckled. "You do realize we have an underground bio-armor facility underneath, right? Maybe we should play into that. How about 'Advanced Survivor Shelter'?"
Kale nodded thoughtfully. "That's got a nice ring to it."
"I still think 'Sanctuary of the Phoenix' was cool," Lysandra muttered.
After more back-and-forth, Shane finally made his decision and asked some others in the chat like Raze and Diana...
In the end, Raze suggested something good.
"Alright, from today on, this place will be known as Eclipse Domain."
It was in the honor of their Eclipse Revenant Clan.
His companions nodded in approval, and just like that, their shelter had a name. But now, it was time to give it life.
Shane allowed everyone to explore the place aside from Lysandra who would help him welcome their new companions.
He looked at his inventory and checked the number of Recruitment Stones in his possession.
Legendary Recruitment Stone x1
Epic Recruitment Stone x1
Master Recruitment Stone x1
Rare Recruitment Stone x2
Random Recruitment Stone x4
Normal Recruitment Stone x20
"Let's see…"
Shane thought for a moment before he pulled out the 20 Normal Recruitment Stones from his inventory.
"Let's get some people in here," he muttered, holding up a stone.
Soon, he accepted the system notification and the moment he did this, the stones started to dissipate…
It was then followed by darkness outside the shelter.
To be exact, it was the familiar dense gray fog that manifested from nowhere.
Shane had already seen this plenty of times so he was no longer surprised. He just waited and watched it calmly as it moved mysteriously outside the shelter before spitting out twenty silhouettes.
