Grandson of the Holy Emperor is a Deadbeat

Chapter 13: ch. 13 Morgana the Necromancer

Despite not fully believing Allen, a few of the villagers stared at morgana with hardened expressions on their faces, sneakily distanced himself away from her as cold sweat trickled down their faces.

They might've been infatuated bye the woman's looks, but they weren't idiots and realized the consequences of their actions of what Allen said was true.

'Uh? What's this?! They actually believe the words of a crazy prince?' the woman thought in disbelief.

She worked so hard for the village's sake until now, spending weeks hunting for herbs the village needed and selling them at a discount, and yet they trusted her even less than the vile banished prince?!

"That's not true! I've been kidnapped by the zombies and even tortured!"

"Really now? Grill how long has it been since she moved to the village she comes from"

"I-i believe she arrived at Alm's village four months ago." Gril looked over at another villager, getting a nod of confirmation from them.

"And when did the necromancers plague start infecting the villages?"

"Three months ago..." A lot of the villagers had a sudden realization as they looked at the woman lauing in the floor.

Cold sweat drops traveled down the woman's cheek and pooled on the tip of her chin, her trembling eyes quickly scanned the surroundings.

Even the villagers that initially believed in her innocence were now distancing themselves away from her, afraid she might suddenly attack them.

"No, it's not true! I'm not lying…! This, this is a trap! A trap laid out by that evil Necromancer! Why… why don't you believe me… *Sob*…" She covered her face with both of her hands and began sobbing away.

The villagers saw this and exchanged sympathetic glances with each other, wondering if they made a mistake?

Such thoughts entered the villagers' head, and only seemed to anger Allen at their wonder.

"You idiots, are you all wild animals or something? Stop thinking with your lower head and realize how dangerous the situation is!" The Prince harshly criticized them before shifting his gaze over to Gril.

"You know what. Gril, do you still have any holy water with you?"

"Yes, sir. I brought a few with me before we went out to track her." The farmer nodded his head as he pulled out a spice vial filled with holy water from his inner pocket.

The Imperial Prince snatched it away and tossed it to Morgana, she hesitantly caught the vial, looking quite confused.

"I'll get down on my knees and apologize for my accusations, so long as you drink the Holy water"

The woman had stopped crying, just taking one look at the holy water caused her to want to cover her nose. Even though the vial's cap was securely shut, the stench wafting out from it was truly extraordinary to her.

This wasnt any ol' regular holy water, from the smell she assumed it had been created by a high-ranking Priest praying day and night straight. Indeed, it was an incredibly dangerous 'poison' to a Necromancer who contained a sizable amount of demonic energy.

"You're injured all over too. You were probably tortured by the cowardly Necromancer, right? Drinking that should fix you up right away. However, if you're actually that very Necromancer that I accuse you of being... Your innards will liquify from the inside out."

The gazes of the villagers were now focused on her. If she didn't drink this holy water right now, things would become very bad for her pretty quickly.

She lowered her gaze and stared at the vial with trembling hands, after taking the lid off, the stench stung her nostrils.

'Just where did that unhinged fool of an Imperial Prince get himself such powerful holy water?!' Morgan felt her hand burning just holding it.

She now could tell that the liquid was imbued with an otherworldly amount of divinity, she then realized that the divine power used when fighting the undead bear couldn't have come from an ordinary Priest either.

'This bastard of an Imperial Prince, something about him had changed since three months ago.' Morgan thought

"Okay.. I'll just drink i-" she deliberately loosened her grip, allowing the vial to slip from her hand.

With a shattering sound, the Holy water spilled out onto the cave floor. Morgana feigned shock and shouted out, "Oh no! I… I was too tense and lost my grip…my arm has such a deep wound tha-!" "There's no need to fret."

The Imperial Prince glanced at Gril once more. The farmer hesitantly looked around and pulled out three more vials of holy water in his pocket.

"It's fine if you drop all of those as well, I can always make more holy water for you to drink!" There was a ruthless smile on Allen's face as he watched her face fall.

With gritted teeth, Morgana took a step forward. She was sent her to 'assassinate' the exiled prince, but had now found herself in danger instead.

In order to dispel the villagers' suspicions, she behaved like a saint and worked as a pharmacist for the past three months, but everything had gone down the drain in this one moment.

It was almost time for the 'Tide of Death' to rise up from the Land of the Dead and attack the living, so the Holy Imperial Family wouldn't have enough leeway to investigate the death of the Prince.

She planned this event to coincide with that very moment, but now things had become tangled up beyond repair.

Morgan's eyes slowly shifted over to the wall behind the Imperial Prince, this was where the only exit of this cave could be found.

Her gaze then gradually lowered to the floor.

There laid a sizable piece of broken glass from the shattered vial, although there were traces of holy water on it.

Her previously terror-filled expression suddenly crumbled away in an instant, the corners of her lips curled up and with madness-filled eyes, she glared at the prince.

"You stinking Imperial dog!" This was all the confirmation the villagers needed, as they tried pouncing on her with their tools

"C-catch her!"

Unfortunately for them, the first one to make a move was Morgana and she was much faster than them.

She quickly picked up a glass piece from the floor, her skin burned away touching the holy water but she quickly injecting Demonic energy into her hand.

With blood oozing down her hand, she quickly ran at the calm imperial prince and began recited the spell in her head. It was a Necromancy spell, one designed to summon an undead stained by eternal resentment.

Demonic energy rapidly escaped from her body, her once-firm skin instantly shriveled up to form countless wrinkles, showing her true age.

Due to her aging, Morgan sensed her body growing heavier and slower but she still charged forward with a speed faster than her age should allow.

She knew she'd have to work hard to regain her youthful appearance but it'd be fine–she only had to steal the lifeforce from another living person after all! It might not extend her life much, but at the very least she'll live the rest of her life with a beautiful athletic body.

A magic circle was drawn in the blink of an eye around the Imperial Prince on the floor. A large sygil character suddenly appeared and then the earth overturned to reveal bleached-white bones.

"Your highness-!!"

"Save the prince!" The villagers cried out, worried the prince would die under their care.

However, it was already too late. The large skeletons hands grabbed onto the prince's hand and leg.

Morgana wasn't able to use the proper summoning magic, so she could only hastily summon the upper torso of an undead to capture the prince. Despite this, it was already more than enough.

Morian extended her hand, she aimed the bloodied glass piece at the boy's neck, that's when....!

Suddenly appearing above morgana, a Giant bloodstained boulder appeared and was about to crush her!

The old woman acted quick, she immediately gave up on trying to kill Allen as Demonic energy flaired up around her legs and she just barely managed to escape death.

'The black order trained me in all aspects of the dark arts, I cant die to damn rock!'

Having witnesses Allen's summon the boulder when facing the undead at the monastery, Morgan was already prepared to face it!

With a surge of Demonic energy revolting around her legs, Morgana shot forward as she jumped towards Allen! With Allen's confined by the giant undead and unable to move, he was also unabke to touch the boulder to store it!

It was finally done, the Prince was now exposed and she was a second away from finally killing the prince and making her escape

It was then, something approached Morgana from her side with frightening speed. A set of slender-looking fingers suddenly grabbed her hair as well as her scalp and slammed her down to the ground.

With a look of shock, Morgana felt an unexpected pressure weighing down on her! She looked back and saw a girl with platinum-white hair glaring at her with a pair of goosebump-inducing red eyes.

"Wha-"

With a fist full of hair, the girl cut the necromancer off by slamming her face first into the cave floor!
