Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Paul Lin left the class after explaining the contribution points. The students are all excited. They are already talking about forming the Team. On the other hand, I don't know what to do.

When I went outside for the first time. I got targeted by the Perry Family Wizard. I still remember the old man who barged into the inn room. If it is against a Magic Level-8 Wizard, I have the confidence to trouble him to some extent.

But a Magic Level-9 Wizard is a different league. They are called Half-step Supreme. Such an existence can easily take away my life. I don't know how serious the True Elements Society is regarding my safety.

Many doubts come to mind. Before I continued to dwell on it. The next Lecturer walked into the room.

Time passed in the blink of an eye,

After attending the classes of all four courses, I checked my contribution points. They are very low. After using the mana chamber 2 times, I know the benefit of it. If I want to continue my meditation, I have to earn points.

My eyes flash with a complex glint. After coming to the True Elements Society, I have become passive. So much so I'm not even thinking about taking risks.

Back in my homeland, I had taken the risk of infiltrating neighboring countries. I had even crossed the Forbidden Zones to stay in the Lawless Country for some time.

And here I'm being worried about the Wizard Families. I think it's not the way forward. Before coming here the most troublesome thing was to solve my Law Power understanding.

But not only I have solved the problem. I improved my talent further. Which in turn reduced the risk of relying on external objects to comprehend Gravity Mysteries.

After weighing the pros and cons, my eyes flash with a firm glint.

Then I went to meet Elder Paul Lin. When I arrived at his office. He wasn't surprised upon seeing me. Seeing his knowing expression, I couldn't help but wonder if his morning talk was directed at me.

"Vincent Carey, what greets you here?" Paul asked.

"Task," I uttered a single word in reply.

Paul Lin nodded his head before asking, "Are you sure?"

"I have already told you about those Wizard Families," He added.

"I can't always hide. Plus, I need resources as well. The only way I think of it is to complete the task," I replied honestly.

Paul Lin's eyes flash with approval. Then he picked up a rectangular device and looked up the currently available missions.

While going through it, he asked, "What type of mission were you looking for?"

Hearing that I pondered before answering, "It doesn't matter. But the mission location has to be under the territory of the True Elements Society."

Paul Lin smiled. He was impressed by Vincent's smart choice. Here, take this and select the mission.

I received the device before turning my gaze towards the screen. The list of available missions can be seen on the screen.

I started to go through one by one. But halfway, I paused my gaze on one particular mission.

[Intel gathering mission: Find any information regarding the Transmutation Society. Recently, traces of their magic were found in the Main Market Place, Verdant City.]

"Verdant City," I said in my heart.

I know it's the 5th city under the True Elements Society. It borders the land of the vast neutral area. Which doesn't come under the territory of other organizations.

So, that place has become a hub for many traveling wizards and adventurers. There are large markets selling items, including illegal ones there.

Apart from that, I don't know much about it. I have only a minimum understanding of all the 5 cities under the True Elements Society.

"So, what's on your mind?" Paul Lin asked.

"I want this mission," I said to him while giving back the device.

"Oh, intelligence gathering. Are you sure?" Paul Lin asked.

I nodded to him.

Seeing that Vincent Carey is serious. He decides to trust him. He then registers Vincent's name.

Buzz!

I received a notification regarding the mission.

"What's with the Transmutation society?" I asked.

Paul Lin replied, "I guess, you don't know much about the Ancient Redwood Country. The Ancient Redwood Country is one of the Super Large Nations."

"Our True Elements Society is one of the top Wizard Organisations here."

"Similarly, the Transmutation Society is one of the top Wizard Organisations in the neighboring Super Large Nation."

"Transmutation Society is a neutral faction. Most of their wizards are involved in research. They replace their organs with foreign organs for evolution. They travel across the countries to collect sample items."

"Their Wizard Path is considered Evil in many places. But the Mage Union has yet to put any label on them. Since their traces were found in the Verdant City."

"Someone may be looking for samples," He said to me.

I digested the information.

"What about the time limit?" I asked.

"There is no specified time limit when it comes to the intel-gathering mission. It requires patience. It might take a week or so to find a small clue," Paul Lin.

I know that much, but what about the classes?

"Can I self-study?"

"Is it necessary to present in all classes?" I asked.

"There is no need for you to present if you are on a mission. All lectures were recorded. You can access the recorded videos later," Paul Lin said.

"So you can focus on the mission. True Elements Society Wizards can travel across the cities freely via the teleportation platform. You just have to take care of the accommodation,"he added.

"Then I'm leaving right away," After saying that I bid goodbye to him. Then I hurriedly left the place.

I don't know why, but I feel the intel-gathering mission is fun. I just have to use the Zero Puppet to collect information.

After leaving the floating building, I didn't even go back to the dorm building. Rather, I made my way towards the Teleportation Platform.

I can directly reach Verdant City through the Teleportation Platform here. So I don't have to worry about the return journey.

When I got there. I saw other department wizards. Many go to the main city to relax. I walked inside the building. One by one people start to disappear from the platform.

When it was my turn. I stepped inside the platform and told the destination staff.

Swish!

I vanished from the spot. When I opened my eyes. I found myself standing on the platform inside a different building.

I showed my I.D. to the staff before walking away from this place. When I appeared outside. I found the mana concentration is weaker compared to the main city and campus.

Now, I'm beginning to appreciate my chance to study at the True Elements Society. I pushed down these thoughts before starting work on the mission.

I took the mask out of the storage bracelet to cover my face. My mage official robe is special. It will attract the attention of others. Then I found a secluded area to appear inside the Gregor Mansion to change my dress.

After changing to a more casual mage uniform, I appeared outside. Now, I look no different than wandering wizards.

"Now, it's time to visit the Main Market Place," I said in my heart. The map of this place can be accessed online. I worked on the digital screen before finding the route.

Then I started walking towards the destination.

Meanwhile,

Clonius Family Wizards from the Beast Taming Department found Dimitry. They immediately started asking about the secret task.

Dimitry has already decided not to go against Vincent Carey again. But he was not stupid enough to reveal his thoughts to them.

So he lied to them by saying, "It's hard to track him after the class. And I can't take action inside the department under everyone's watch."

The Clonius Family Wizards still have trust in Dimitry. It comes from their arrogance that no one can go against them. So they completely believed his words.

After giving a final warning, they left the place. Dimitry is rooted in the same spot. He doesn't know how long he is going to keep up the act.

But what these people don't know is that their every action is being monitored by someone else. That person is none other than Paul Lin.

The Floating building not only acts as a study place for the Special Mage Department. It has many other functions which can be said to be a special weapon for the True Elements Society.

Paul Lin has some authority given to him by the Supreme Wizard Phylia. From time to time, he collects information and reports back to the Supreme Wizard Phylia.

Now, he is using the authority to spy on the Special Mage Department Wizards.

First, he used it to see the Bloodline Beast Department Wizards' Activities. Now the Wizards of the Beast Taming Department is causing trouble. He knows the background information of Dimitry.

So Paul Lin smells trouble.

"I need to have conversations with him before he finds himself in some trap," He said to himself.
