GRIMM: New Detective In Town

*Mc Pov*

Beep Beep Beep

I groggily got up and turn off my alarm. Before I went to bed I set it for 4:30 am.

Now to start my day I head down to my gym to get an hour workout in, then I head to grab a shower, once I'm done with that a quick breakfast then brush my teeth then get around to head to work.

Now speaking of my house its fucking nice, its essentially all made out wood using Oak, Cedar, and Douglas fir, its 3 stories plus a basement, 7 bedrooms, 2 and a half baths, gym, living room, office, loft with a small library attached, a game room with newest consoles, pc, etc., the kitchen first has those fridge/freezers that seem to be apart of the wall, a nice marble island with a built in sink, state of the art appliance's, you know the whole shebang, also has a man cave in the basement floor, with a mini bar, beer on tap, few TV's, pool/air hockey table, darts, and a little lounge where you could smoke or drink, there's a panic room that doubles as a security camera room, cameras everywhere no blind spots, I have an attached 10 car garage on one side of the house, it has any and all tools I would ever need to work on a vehicle, plus two car lifts so I could work on the undercarriage without having to lay on the ground, on the other its an attached Olympic size pool with a sauna built with it, the top floor is a massive master bedroom/bath, my house sits on 10 acres of land, I have like an acre pond as well, to top it off a 15 concreate wall surrounding my property with another 5 foot of electrified fencing on top, and a reinforced gate that would take at least 1 tank shot and still stand.

Then underneath my house is the bunker which is three floors, the top most floor there is a supercomputer at least 500 years ahead of the times, it can connect to any and all satellite's, electronic systems, etc., the next floor is all my Grimm books, weapons, elixir's, etc., and the last floor is an massive automated farm, and there is potatoes, rice, and a few others all planting, growing, harvesting, and storing all on its own.

As I'm heading into work my mind drifts to a scene from last night.

* Flashback*

After we left the hospital Nick and I went back to the Precinct to fill out reports and as we were leaving we meet up with Captain Sean Renard and it would be my first meeting with him.

Cpt. Renard: " Well if you had to shoot somebody, you guys sure picked the right guy. How are you doing? You holding up?" he says with a gentle but serious face.

Nick and I: " Yes sir." we say with a serious expression.

Cpt. Renard: He looks at us for a second before saying, " A first shooting is no small thing, you'll be required to see the police psychologist."

Nick and I: " Yes sir."

Cpt. Renard: "Make sure you do," then he pats Nick and I on either shoulder and looks into our eyes, " get some rest." then he walks away.

* Flashback Ends*

Eventually I made it to work. 

Its been a few hours since I started my shift Nick and Hank both come find me at a vending machine grabbing a snack.

Nick: Hands over a report to me, " take a look at the lab report, DNA of the attacker is inconclusive, still don't know if we are looking at a man or a beast.

Me: " Well we know it wears boots thanks to the lab solving the boot mold." while handing over a picture of the boots we are looking for to Nick and Hank.

We talk for a few more minutes until Nick and I decide to go visit Aunt Marie in the hospital, while Hank chills in the car.

*Scene Break*

Nurse: "She's in a deep coma." she says while walking us to Aunt Marie's room, "there was a sudden spike in the EKG this morning, but I don't have anything definitive to tell you yet."

Nick: With a sad look on his face as he is looking at Marie laying on the bed, "will she come out of this?"

Nurse: "Well, all we can do is wait." She hesitates before asking, "do you know about the scars?"

Me: Nick and I turn to face the nurse, then I ask, "What scars?"

Nurse: " A lot of them, look like knife wounds, they're all over her body. What line of work was she in?"

Nick: As he looks Aunt Marie in concern, " she was a librarian."

*ring ring ring*

At that moment Nick receives a phone call.

After a moment he hangs up.

Nick looks at me and says we got a call, a missing child report. So we quickly leave and head to the Childs mothers home.

*Scene Break*

After we arrive at the scene, we are met with Sgt. Wu who comes to inform us of what we need to know.

Hank: Is the first to speak, " so what do we know?"

Sgt. Wu: Looking sad, "little girl, on her way to her grandfathers house never showed up, that's him the guy with the beard." As he points to the old man hugging a very distraught woman, most likely the mother.

Nick: As he's looking at the old man asks, " do we know if he is clean?"

Sgt. Wu: " No but we are looking into that." He takes out a wallet size photo and hands it over, " that's the best photo they had."

*Scene Break*

Back at the Precinct in the detective squad room we are going through a presentation from Cpt. Renard.

After starting a projector with the little girls picture on it the Captain starts the debriefing.

Cpt. Renard: "We don't know what we got here, relative, ransom, or pedophile, and the clock is ticking. We are going to split into teams, section off the path she would have taken from school."

The Captain then clicks a button on the remote he is holding and it changes the picture on the projector, it now shows an overview of some streets and a path marked in red to show the little girls path she is suppose to take.

Cpt. Renard: " Now, that's a mile and a half from the school to the house. When she was last seen she was wearing purple leggings, and a red sweatshirt. Make sure you have a copy of the photo and the map. You all know your sections, so lets get out there and find her."

As everyone disperses Nick, Hank, and I make our way to the Captain.

Nick: " Captain."

Cpt. Renard: " Yeah."

Nick: " When the university student was attacked yesterday, she was wearing a red sweatshirt."

Cpt. Renard: " The girl who was torn to pieces?"

Hank: " Yeah."

Cpt. Renard: " Well, lets hope its not the same guy."

Me: " Can I say something?" They all nod to me. " Looking at the map here, I don't know about you all but if I was a young kid, and I had to walk this route there's no way that I would take the long way." While pointing to a certain part on the map, "I would most definitely cut across here and go through this park to cut down my walk by at least 10-20 mins."

They all looked at the map for a moment pondering what I said.

Nick: " Yeah, but the mom was very peculiar about the route."

Hank: " Yeah, right kids always do what their moms tell them to do. I know I did." he says with a smirk.

Cpt. Renard: He looks at me and says, " that's not a bad catch, you guys go check out the park trails, maybe you will get lucky and find something."

*Scene Break*

We made it to the park and we all took different trails, we were searching when I head Hank yell that he found something. By time I reached them I see Nick sprinting off in the distance, and Hank on his phone calling in a crime scene.

Me: " Yo, Hank where's Nick running to?"

Hank: " He said he saw footprints, and is following them."

Once he gets done talking we hear Nick shout that he's got him, so we both look at each other and take off after him.

It takes us maybe a minute for us to clear the park and end up on the street.

What we see is at one of the houses, the front door is open, with what seems to be Nick holding some guy by his shirt collar down on some stairs, screaming at him, " where is she, where is she."

Hank and I had got to Nick and I pulled Nick off of the suspect, while Hank apologized while handcuffing him.

*Scene Break*

Well, we had to call it in and I left to go grab my car so it took me a total of 25 minutes to get back. By time I returned there where cops everywhere, the suspect was in the back of a cop car, while I could see Nick and Hank talking on the porch, I come up on the end of the conversation.

Hank: "What do you see in this guy that we don't? They both look to the back of the cop car with the suspect. " He's got no priors. He's clean."

Nick: "He fits the profile, he's a loner, he's never been married, he lives across the street from the park."

Hank: "That's not going to get him into a court, unless he sues are ass." Then he walks away.

Nick looks at me and whispers.

Nick:" I know its him, I saw him transform into something after a group of kids past him."

Me: "Oh, so give me a description of what he looked like."

After giving me the description I told him that it sounds like a Blutbad or the big bad wolf, and I believe it was a Blutbad that ripped that girl apart.

*Scene Break*

Afterwards we had to let him go, and after we head back to the station Nick tells me he's going to pay that guy a visit tonight and asked if I wanted to join him.

I told him no, that I'm going to head home to get something to eat real quick, then head back to the route that the little girl is suppose to walk, and knock on doors to see if anybody there can recognize the boots our suspect wears, but if he needed any help to call me, and I trust he can handle a lone Blutbad, just to go to the trailer first to do some research.

Before I left him, I reminded him that not all Wesen are bad.

*Scene Break*

After we parted ways I went home, I made a nice steak, sautéed mushrooms, and truffle mashed potatoes, with a glass of wine, and a glass of iced water.

Then after a nice meal, I went down to the bunker, found some wolfsbane, then headed out.

Once I made it to the street, I started going door to door asking about the boots.

It wasn't until my 15th house that someone finally said that they believe they have seen the local postman wear boots very similar.

Once I got were I wanted, I got back in my car and called Sgt. Wu, who luckily was just about to leave. I told him I got a lead on yesterdays murder and todays kidnapping.

After I explained everything, he quickly went back inside and started trying to find who the postman is who works that route and finding his address.

It took me a good 40 minutes to make it back to the Precinct, once I met up with Sgt. Wu he had just got the address that I needed. He asked if I needed help and I thought for a moment and decided fuck it. So I invited him along.

Once we got geared up, we got in my car, I received a call from Nick.

Nick: "Jack, I fou.." but then I cut him off.

Me: " Nick, calm down for a moment, I'm with Sgt. Wu right now my hunch paid off, someone identified a local who wears those same boots, its the local postman, his name is Errol Ditmarsch and he fits the profile and he works the route the young girl walks everyday. The address is ****** *******, I need you and Hank to meet us there, do you understand."

Nick: Instantly figuring out what I was trying to get across. Just said " got it I'll call Hank."

*Scene Break/Flash Back*

*Nicks Pov*

After Jack left, I headed home and had dinner with Juliette. Afterwards like Jack suggested immediately went to the trailer and spent the next few hours searching for information about Blutbads.

Once I believed I had researched enough I headed out to prove that Blutbad I believe was named Monroe was involved, but Jacks words keep ringing in my ears, that not all Wesen are bad like he knows this isn't the right guy.

It took me about 40 minutes and now here I am outside his house watching as Monroe, is urinating on his fence like he is marking his territory. I'm not sure what happens but Monroe start smelling the air and instantly finishes his business and rushes back into his house.

I push my back up against his house and glance towards a window just a bit down the way from me where I can see light from inside coming threw, that was until all the lights went out.

I'm beginning to thank coming here alone was a bad idea, so I decide to leave. As I make my way past the window all I hear is glass shattering then someone lands on me, then picks me up and throws me against the house. I look up and see Monroe in front of me in full voge according to Jack. Just as I'm reaching for my gun, Monroe speaks. 

Monroe: " You shouldn't have come back here." as he walks a little closer to Nick, as he sees Nick reaching for his gun he stops, and shows his hands, " alright lighten up, I was just making a point, lets go in a grab a brew." he starts walking then says, " by the way you are paying for that window."

And that's how Monroe and I become sorta friends. Anyway after talking to Monroe for a while I ended up convincing him to help me track the location of my suspect. Eventually we find the right place but he has to leave or he might lose control of his self and do more harm than good.

So I head back to were Monroe first parked his car by a bridge and first call Jack.

*Scene break/ Back to present*

*Mc Pov*

It takes me a good 40 minutes to reach the location as I'm pulling up to the area, I spot Nick and Hank by Hanks car, so I pull up right behind them.

Me: I look over at Hank and ask, "did Nick inform you of everything."

Hank: " Yeah, postman, matching boots, fits the profile."

Nick: " I've already scouted a bit, he lives and a house just on the other side of the stream."

Sgt. Wu: "As we were coming in Jack and I already came up with how we will approach the house, so he doesn't see us coming."

Me: "But first," I walk over to Hank and Wu and start spreading wolfsbane over them," before you ask this will help mask our scents so if lets say he has guard dogs or something they wouldn't notice us until we are right up to the house."

They both look confused but decide to roll with it after I finish spreading the wolfsbane on them both and myself, Nick says he already did it for himself so I put the rest up.

Sgt. Wu: " Okay, so during our drive up Jack and I were looking at maps and decided to avoid driving over the bridge and possibly alerting our suspect and instead we will walk cutting through down stream, any questions?"

Since no one objected we went down the stream about 100 yards then cut through the stream and started slowly creeping to the suspects house.

After a bit of time the house came into view.

Me: " Okay, before go game plan, we will let Hank do the talking, if at some point the suspect has to go into another room for whatever reason like grabbing something from the oven, I want Nick to follow even if its stealthily don't lose sight of him and hopefully he gives us permission to check around his house. Any questions?"

Seeing no one speak we walked to the house with Hank leading us.

* Knock Knock Knock*

* Door Opens*

Errol: " Hello, can I help you?"

Before anyone speaks we all look down at his feet and unfortunately he's wearing house slippers.

Hank: Looking apologetic, "sorry to disturb you, sir. I'm detective Griffin, this is" pointing to Nick, " detective Burkhardt, this is" pointing to me, " detective Burkhardt, and Sgt. Wu., do you have a few minutes?"

Errol: " Of course. Would you like to come in?"

Hank: " That would be great, thank you."

So we all follow him into his house, and he takes us to his living room.

Errol: " We can sit in here if you like."

Hank walks over to the couch and grabs a pillow and looks it over

Hank: "Nice pillows."

Errol: Slowly runs in fingers across the pillow, " I did the needle point myself. Not that I tell everyone."

* alarm rings *

Errol: "Oh, pot pie's done. Just give me a moment, and we can talk. Okay?"

Errol then leaves and heads to the kitchen.

I look at Nick, he nods in return and slowly follows behind Errol.

Me: Once they are both gone I whisper to Hank and Wu, " do you notice anything odd here." While motioning to the table with a rug underneath. They both look confused about what I mean.

Me: "I can feel a bit of a draft coming from underneath the table. So quickly and quietly help me move this table and rug."

So we quietly moved the table and rug and we spot a hatch that leads down, as soon as we see it we all tense and immediately upholster our guns. I open the hatch as quiet as I can and Wu and I head down the steps.

Wu and I immediately spot the girl, when the girls sees us starts to fidget and make noise so I put my finger to my lips telling her to be quiet. Wu at the time has already went back upstairs and told Hank that we found the little girl.

Hank and Wu left in the direction both Errol and Nick left to go arrest the man. While I stay behind by the open hatch just in case.

It would seem that I was right, because not a moment later did I first hear Hank and Wu yelling at the man to get on the ground, hands on his head. The next moment the sounds of fighting and people being thrown in to things and them breaking.

Errol runs into the room and see me, at first he was going to charge me but then froze as he recognized me as a Grimm, and that moment of hesitation was all I needed to shoot him once in the knee to make him drop, then I was instantly upon him and with one clean straight punch to his dome he was out like a light.

By time I get done turning him over and placing him in cuffs, the others joined me.

I look over at Nick to call it in, and watch over the suspect, and ask Hank and Wu if they could go get out vehicles while tossing Wu my keys, while I head down to get the child.

* Scene Break *

Within 40 minutes, the whole place is flooded with cops. We all had to give statements. We then went back to the station and filled out reports, because I had shot someone I had to fill out even more reports, so I was stuck at the station, while they all went home. Well except for Nick he went to visit Aunt Marie in the hospital.

* Scene Break *

* Nick's Pov *

* At the hospital sitting by Marie's bed*

Aunt Marie is still in a coma.

Nick: " There's so much I don't understand. There's so many things I need to ask you. Look, I love Juliette. I don't want anything to happen to her. I want you to know, whatever it is I'm supposed to do, I'll do it."

While talking to Aunt Marie, a blond nurse quietly makes here way in the room not disturbing Nick, once she reaches the other side of the bed. She pulls out a vial with some green liquid and starts filling a syringe.

Nick realizing he is no longer alone, looks up and recognizing the blonde from earlier yesterday after he bought his engagement ring. She was even the first Wesen he had seen, he even read about it when he was looking up Blutbads, she a Hexenbiest, and very dangerous.

Nick: " You." he says in confusion.

Realizing she had been recognized, she attempts to inject Marie with the syringe, Nick then attempts go stop here but in the struggle, Nick himself gets injected.

Immediately after getting injected Nick instantly has trouble breathing, his vision starts fading, then his body gives out and falls. While falling he ripped some sensors off of Marie and alarms start blaring in the room.

The female recognizing that she has to leave, quickly gets out the room.

The last thing Nick sees before losing conciseness is the blonde walking past the room looking at him, her face shift from normal to that of an Hexenbiest back to normal.

* Scene Break *

* Adalind Pov *

She quickly makes her way out the hospital, gets rid of the doctor jacket/coat, and get in a waiting SUV.

Cpt. Renard: " Is she dead?"

Adalind: " No. The older one was there."

Cpt. Renard: " That's unfortunate." takes a deep breath, " just have to try again." the he starts the vehicle. Then looks over at Adalind, " Let's hope she doesn't wake up first." Then drives away.

* Scene Break *

Back at the hospital, in Aunt Marie's room.

Aunt Marie is lying there.

Her eyes open.
