"Mother, are these strawberries? Why are they green?" Fu Qiuyi asked her mother as she looked at the half-ripe strawberries. She said to her mother, "Strawberries are red right?"

"They must be unripe strawberries," replied Eldest Madam Fu as she looked at the half-green and half-red strawberry. "Don't eat the unripe one, they must be sour."

The strawberries that fluttered on the small and slender branches midst the green leaves, looked really cute. Eldest Madam Fu did not want her daughters, nephews and nieces to pick up the unripe one. It will only be a waste of money. Not to mention they would make a fuss if they were to eat a sour strawberry.

Not to mention the children hated sour and bitter things. Eldest Madam Fu still remembered how the children had cried when they were asked to eat bell peppers in the past. Though the situation had turned a bit better, after buying vegetables from Yu Dong, Eldest Madam Fu still remembered the fuss from that day. If they ate the sour strawberries, then certainly they would make a racket.

"There is no way that the Yu family strawberries would be sour," a voice came from behind and the Fu family turned to look at Yu Dong who was standing behind them with a smile on her face.

"Madam Yu," Old Master Fu greeted Yu Dong with a simpering smile. He walked over to her and said, "What a surprise. I thought that I would have to come to your house to congratulate you and your husband."

"You still have to come to my house, Old Master Fu," said Yu Dong with a smile on her face. "Don't think that you can skip handing the red packets to the children." She teased causing Eldest Madam Fu and Old Master Fu to laugh.

On the other side, the children did not care about the talk of the adult. Fu Meiyun turned to look at Yu Dong and asked, "Pretty sister can we really eat these strawberries." Children's minds were straightforward.

They wanted what they liked, the green and red strawberries looked prettier to them than the red ones and thus they wanted to try it even if their mother and aunt told them that they were sour.

"Of course," Yu Dong nodded firmly. However, after a pause, she added, "You can only eat the green and red strawberries here because they are blessed by a fairy and are sweet but if you eat strawberries outside this place, they would be sour."

She did not want the kids to think that she was a liar, later on, which was why Yu Dong already warned the kids lest they thought that the green and red strawberries were sweet everywhere.

Fu Meiyun and the rest looked at one another before they went to pick the unripe strawberries.

Behind them, Eldest Madam Fu looked a bit troubled but she did not say anything when she heard Yu Dong say that the strawberries were sweet.

"They smell fragrant and sweet!"

"I want to eat big sister, pick one for me."

"Wait a second. I am picking one, can't you see?"

The children rushed to a small bush and then started picking the strawberries. It did not take long for the flourishing bush to turn bald in a spot and a second later, the children all exclaimed.

"Wowie! This is a fairy berry really sweet!"

"Delicious! How can there be a berry so good as this one."

"They are sour but they are not that sour, the overwhelming sweetness balances everything out," said Old Master Fu as he looked at the half-bitten strawberry.

"I bet the red ones are even sweeter than these," said Eldest Madam Fu feeling a bit complicated. She had to admit that these unripe strawberries were indeed a bit sweeter than the ones that were sold outside.

She was now glad that she had listened to her daughter and brought her here with the rest of the Fu family kids, if she had foolishly stayed back in the house then she would have lost the chance to eat something so good!

However, the children did not care about such things. They only heard Eldest Madam Fu say that the red strawberries were sweeter than this one, and immediately went to pick a bunch of red strawberries. They did not forget to fill their small buckets with strawberries either as their daddies had repeatedly told them to bring back a few for them to taste.

If they went empty handed their daddies would hit them until their bottom turned from a peach to a watermelon.

"You did not stay behind with your husband today?" Old Master Fu asked Yu Dong who smiled at him and said, "I wanted to but today is the first day for the strawberry picking and I need to over see everything is alright or not."

The strawberry picking system was introduced in this world for the first time, what was more there were a lot of strangers who came to their village. Yu Dong was afraid that these strangers might have some uncomfortable people mixed in which was why she came to oversee the matter.

What she did not know was that her heroic feat was known to not only the villagers but also the thugs in the town. Though they had some plans to attack the Yu family of the Big River Village, when they found out Yu Dong was someone who could cut someone's head off without even blinking an eye, they immediately turned their backs on the idea that were cooking in their head.

They liked money but not over their heads!

They could not let someone kill them over a few taels!

Thus no one in the greenhouse caused any trouble and everything went on smoothly. It was just that someone was rather unstable after seeing Yu Dong get better and better.
