Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1375: Jealousy and praises

This person was none other than Second Aunt Yu. She looked at the greenhouse that was filled with a large crowd with another set of lines standing in front of the greenhouse. While Yu Dong was inside the greenhouse, the rest of the villagers were looking at the hustle and bustle.

"The guests going to the Yu family greenhouse to pick strawberries have paid money to enter the shed and they are even paying money when bringing the strawberries out. Do you know that Yu Dong is charging two taels per person?"

"I know. It was already announced at the mall, and the workers were all told that the price was going to be two taels and there would be no change in the price!"

"Isn't this price too expensive?"

"What do you know? My brother is working in the greenhouse and they have already earned 100 taels! Can you believe it? It hasn't been more than a few hours since the greenhouse opened and Madam Yu has already earned more than a hundred taels?"

"Hundred taels? Are you serious? How in the world did she earn a hundred taels in just a few hours?"

"Have you ever seen, Madam Yu do a business that would end in loss? This is not all, I heard from the people who just came out of the greenhouse that they have to pay three to four taels for the strawberries that they took out of the greenhouse. That money hasn't been counted yet," Yuan Luoyi said with an envious look on her face,

"Oh my god! That is so expensive!" The villagers could not help but exclaim as they had never even thought of buying any fruit that would cost them three to four taels.

"And yet, these people can't stop themselves from buying these strawberries. This is just the start and it's not even noon yet. I wonder how much the Yu family earn by opening the greenhouse for strawberry picking."

"If this continues, the Yu family will even be richer than the merchant in the town. They will earn hundreds and thousands of taels each month."

"Tsk, tsk they are really the heaven favourite. With the mall alone they earn thousands of taels in a day. It has been months since the mall opened, I am certain that Madam Yu might have already earned more than a million tael."

The woman who spoke these words was filled with admiration as well as envy towards the Yu family. Who would have thought that the good-for-nothing of the Big River Village would earn such a huge fortune? If they had known then they would have sent their mer sons to Yu Dong's house, even if they became only bed servants, they would have nothing to worry about.

And these thoughts were not just because of their calculations. Some of the women had gone to the town and started digging around the mall for information. Soon they found out that Yu Dong earned ten thousand taels from the mall alone.

This amount alone was enough to make the heads of the villagers explode. Ten thousand taels a day? They couldn't even think of earning a hundred a day!

The villagers were envious but they did not hate Yu Dong as they could earn well because of Yu Dong. They were simple people who knew when to be grateful and did not think too much about Yu Dong's wealth. Though they occasionally discussed the wealth of the Yu family, none of them thought of obtaining that wealth for themselves.

But Second Aunt Yu was different, she was not only jealous of Yu Dong but she also coveted the wealth that Yu Dong and her mer husbands were earning. She really wanted to snatch everything that Yu Dong owned and make it hers but she couldn't as Second Aunt Yu knew that Yu Dong was not a soft persimmon whom she could bully.

What angered her even more was how her daughter was now in cahoots with Yu Dong. She had arranged a marriage for Yu Tong and even if she had some selfish motives, it wasn't as Second Aunt Yu had sold Yu Tong off. However, that woman acted as if she had done some serious crimes and did not rest until she got what she wanted.

Because of Yu Tong, Second Aunt Yu had to not only return the betrothal money but also had to pay for the things that Yu Cheng took away with him. The things that were gifted away to the teachers and the elders of the academy could naturally not be taken back but Second Aunt Yu was afraid that the Murong family would cause trouble for her son.

In the end, she had to use her own savings to return those things. Now she was extremely tight on money, and every time she heard someone praise Yu Dong and her wealth, Second Aunt Yu felt as if someone was driving a knife deeper and deeper into her heart.

What was going on? She was the one who went to the town and worked hard to become an educated scholar why was it that Yu Dong was the one who was earning millions of taels and she was the one who was suffering?

Second Aunt Yu could not understand where she went wrong. She had done everything to be successful and yet nothing seemed to have worked in her way!

Not to mention, her mother had also turned her back on her. Even when Second Aunt Yu asked her mother to hand her a few seeds from Yu Dong's garden, her mother refused. She had even scolded her and berated her for coveting what belonged to her niece.

As if!

Yu Dong was only lucky!
