'Rizz God...'
Shimizu's thoughts lingered on the novel lying on her desk at home as she glanced toward Tsuna, who was on the court, fully focused on the game.
She had always known Tsuna was a writer, but it was only now that she realized he was the Rizz God.
'Whenever I asked him about it, he always tried to change the topic, as if it was some embarrassing secret from his past. But...'
Shimizu couldn't help but recall some of their players' reactions to Tsuna.
'They know...'
It was subtle, but now that she thought about it, there were clear hints that a few of them knew his secret.
Shimizu frowned slightly, the realization bothering her more than she expected.
Back when nobody seemed to know Tsuna was a writer, she had thought she was special for being the only one he had confided in.
She thought it was their little secret.
But now, it was clear she had misunderstood the situation entirely. Apparently, several of Karasuno's players already knew about his identity—and they probably even knew more about it than she did.
That thought made a small pout form on her usually composed face.
Although these people had learned Tsuna's identity by luck, Shimizu didn't know that.
'How did they even find out? Did Tsuna tell them himself?'
She huffed quietly, rolling her eyes at Tsuna as he darted across the court.
"Jerk..." she muttered under her breath.
Shimizu crossed her arms, glancing away as she tried to brush off the small wave of irritation that had bubbled up inside her.
But deep down, she couldn't help but feel a little left out—and just a little bit jealous.
Meanwhile...
Back on the court, Tsuna rotated back to the front line. As he moved into position, he found himself facing someone he rarely matched up against in the last game.
"Well, hello there, Author-sama," Kuroo greeted, his smirk as sharp as ever.
"..."
Tsuna stared at him, his expression flat.
He didn't respond, but deep down, a wave of regret hit him like a truck. Ever since his identity had been revealed, everyone had been looking at him differently.
"...?"
His gaze shifted to Tsukishima on the sidelines.
Normally, Tsukishima was quick with his sharp tongue, throwing sarcastic remarks at anyone in sight—including Tsuna.
But now, the blonde guy just stared at him, clearly surprised.
It wasn't hard to figure out why.
'Is he a fan too?' Tsuna thought, his lips twitching slightly in disbelief, 'Yeah... I wanna die.'
"Haha, so cold, as expected of the Rizz God..."
Kuroo laughed, waving off the lack of response like it was nothing. But then his smirk quickly widened as he added, "Please don't mind my rudeness later..."
"...?"
Tsuna raised an eyebrow at this. But before he could respond, Kageyama's voice rang out, "Move!"
BAM!
Kageyama launched a powerful jump serve as the ball shot across the net like a bullet.
"Mine!"
Yaku shouted as he dove toward it with his arms stretched out. His hands cupped together just in time to absorb the impact.
Plop!
The ball popped into the air, wobbling slightly but staying in play. Nekoma's libero was already scrambling to his feet as he shouted, "Sorry, cover!"
"Tch!"
Kageyama clicked his tongue as he ran back to his position.
Kenma immediately ran toward the ball.
His legs felt heavy, and his hands were slick with sweat.
Every muscle in his body was screaming for rest, but something had shifted in him after Tsuna's little revelation.
'Rizz God-sama... is watching!'
Kenma hated to admit it, but knowing the author of his favorite series was right here on the court made him push himself harder.
His fingers twitched with determination as he reached the ball.
The sight of Kenma pushing himself harder than usual seemed to ignite a fire in everyone on Nekoma's side as they moved toward the net in perfect sync with more vigor.
"To think we'd see Kenma like this..."
Kuroo chuckled as he shifted his focus to the court.
His sharp eyes caught Tsuna moving into position with Kageyama and Daichi. The three of them formed a strong wall at the net, ready to block any incoming attack.
Kuroo smirked, 'Well... let's see if they can handle this.'
His steps were light and deliberate as he approached the net.
The ball flew toward him in a perfect toss, and immediately, Karasuno's blockers locked onto him like predators on their prey.
"...!"
Kuroo felt heavy pressure crashing down on him as he crouched slightly, his body coiled like a spring, ready to jump.
"Now!"
Daichi yelled, leading the charge.
Tsuna, Daichi, and Kageyama all leaped at once, their hands stretching out to form a solid wall of defense.
But then—
They realized too late.
"Huh?!"
Kuroo was still standing firmly on the ground, his eyes glinting with mischief as he mocked them, "I'm happy to see you're so eager to stop me, but..."
"Wha...?"
Their eyes widened in disbelief as they began to descend.
"Maybe you need to jump a little later," Kuroo added with a laugh, as he then, with perfect timing, finally jumped.
"It was a feint!"
Both Kageyama and Daichi gritted their teeth as the realization hit them. 'Are you saying they haven't even shown us all of their cards yet?!'
"This guy..."
Even Tsuna was caught off guard. His eyes widened as he watched Kuroo's figure rise effortlessly into the air.
BAM!
The impact of Kuroo's spike echoed like a thunderclap. The ball ricocheted sharply past Karasuno's blockers, slamming into their court with a resounding thud.
"Author-sama..."
Kuroo landed gracefully before turning to face Tsuna with a smirk that only deepened as he spoke, "Please don't take it to heart and still release the second series…"
For a moment, Tsuna's calm expression wavered.
"Keke—Uh?"
Seeing this made Kuroo almost let out a hearty laugh as his smile suddenly froze as to everyone's Tsuna's lips curved into a wide grin.
"You're fun," he mumbled, his voice laced with amusement.
Maybe revealing his identity wasn't so bad after all!
"It sure is nice to be young..."
Nekomata's raspy voice carried a mix of fondness and nostalgia as he watched the players on both sides push themselves to their limits.
Each jump, spike, and block on the court was fueled by the kind of thing only youth could bring.
He leaned back slightly, hands resting on his knees, and let out a small chuckle. "This always happens whenever we have a practice game together..."
The current Karasuno definitely has much more room for improvement, while, in comparison, Nekoma has already taken the shape of what it had always been and holds advantages over Karasuno.
"Well, I'm sure Karasuno is evolving into a new shape soon..."
Nekomata's voice drifted off, his words fading as his gaze turned distant. Memories of past matches, old battles fought on similar courts, came flooding back.
Back then, things were different.
'We were evenly matched years ago,' Nekomata thought as his eyes swept across Karasuno's players.
Kageyama and Hinata stood out—two players whose potential was greater than the rest.
Their raw talent was undeniable, but Nekomata knew it would take time before they fully grew.
Still, he was confident against these two.
Nekoma had a solid foundation. And with Nekomata's years of experience, he believed in his team and their ability to create miracles.
But now…
'It seems like we're the ones in a pinch, huh?'
Among them was a particularly troublesome one—a crow who didn't seem to belong to the flock.
Nekomata's gaze then landed on Tsuna as a soft smile spread across his face. Shaking his head, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"A shooting star, my ass…"
That wasn't a star passing through Nekoma's orbit.
No, that was a literal sun!
It wasn't a matter of if the sun would shine down on Nekoma.
"Sigh..."
Nekomata's eyes shifted across the court and landed on Keishin.
'Ukai...'
For a brief moment, the younger man's silhouette seemed to blur and morph into a familiar figure—Ukai, sitting with that foolish expression he always had.
The memory was so vivid that Nekomata couldn't help but snicker.
The corners of his lips tugged upward as he muttered under his breath, "We're truly fated to be rivals, huh? Karasuno…"
As if sensing something, Keishin glanced over at Nekomata.
"Keke..."
Their eyes met, and though no words were exchanged, a smirk played on both their faces.
The sound of sneakers squeaking and the rhythmic pounding of the ball brought Nekomata back to the present.
Shaking his head, he turned his gaze back to the court, just in time to see the ball soaring high into the air. Despite the first game having drained most of their stamina, the second game was even more intense.
Rallies, blocks, and saves came one after another relentlessly.
The sound of their ragged breathing filled the air, echoing with every step and jump.
