Chapter 80: Mandy's True Self
Upon hearing this, Mandy and Ken stood silently without a word, as the whole place got silent for that slip second.
The majority of the workers who were standing a bit from them, heard this also and froze in stock. They were all ladies.
The moment became awkward.
And all Ken thought was… 'That was so uncalled for.'
While the moment was still silent, Mandy still stood and stared at Amanda without uttering a word.
She knew what she was doing. She wanted to make Amanda feel very uncomfortable, and so did she.
While Amanda was standing there looking at herself and what she had just said, she felt miserable. She saw how what she had just said made her look like a fool, and it was terrible to watch.
She knew she shouldn't have said such a thought, however her jealousy got the best of her, and now she regrets saying it all.
Even knowing this fact, she still stood tall like all was good, and acted like she didn't care. Although, as her eyes met that of Mandy, she saw a smile on Mandy's face.
An intimidating female smile. A smile that gave her the vibe that she was saying… I am better than you.
Amanda seeing this, was so miserable at this point, and Mandy knew this. However, just before Amanda could utter a word, she heard.
"And… so?" Mandy proclaimed, while she stared intensely at Amanda.
Her expression had already changed from the smiling face she had when she was talking to Ken, to her usual stern expression.
Her face was cold and piercing, and Amanda could feel it. This was not just an ordinary expression, this was someone who knew how to take care of their prey.
"…what are we supposed to do?" Mandy fired her, not even giving Amanda a chance to speak. "…you used to be his girlfriend, which means you are his Ex. His FORMER. Therefore you aren't relevant to him anymore."
At this point, everyone in the mall who was watching this drama as if unfolded, went back to their jobs, as they say Mandy's expression.
Mandy had one hand on her waist, while the other was raised in the air, as she gestured anytime she spoke.
"Since you are his ex, you don't matter to him anymore, am I right?" Mandy asked. However, she didn't give Amanda a chance to answer, as she continued to fire her. "…you are basically in the past." Mandy added.
"And when the past goes by, one isn't supposed to and can't get it back, so they move forward… am I right?" At the moment, she asked this question, Mandy turned to Ken who was busy enjoying this moment. And all he could do as he saw her gaze was to nod.
Mandy then smiled as she saw Ken's nod. She could feel that he was with her and paying attention to what she was saying. This made her happy.
And afterwards, Mandy turned back to Amanda and continued firing her.
"In other words, you are his past. And there is nothing about that which is important. However, he has a new future now."
'Future...?' Ken thought, as he heard this.
At the mention of the future, Mandy placed her hands on her chest, gesturing she was the one.
She didn't need to say anything relating to that aspect, as Amanda who as a lady could understand what Mandy was referring too.
Ken turned his gaze to Mandy and back at Amanda. She was already looking like someone who was losing a fight, before it even began.
And Ken loved what he was saying.
'Looks like that tiger has conquered the cat.' Ken thought, as he shifted his face back to Mandy, as Mandy also looked at him, and together they smiled.
...
That was all Mandy said to Amanda without even going further because she knew her message was gotten.
"Here are your clothes… Ma'am." A young lady who was also a staff at the shop came to Mandy and gave her a bag which had her previous clothes inside.
"They're already watched and dried." The lady proclaimed.
"Why…thank you." Mandy thanked her, as he brought out her purse and gave her a tip.
"Here… for you and the girls." Mandy said, as she gave the tip to the lady, and immediately the lady thanked her.
"Come on…. boo. Let's go" Mandy mumbled, as she took Ken's hand, and then left the building.
..
All this happened at Amanda's front. She stood there speechless, without even moving an inch.
'Boo…?' She thought.
However, all she could think about was how defeated she was. Never in her life has been treated that way by another lady.

Although, that wasn't the case anymore. On this day she met her defeat.
Just as all these thoughts coursed through her head, Amanda then ran outside of the mall. She didn't know why she was running out, or what she wanted to see. However she ran out.
Immediately she got out of the building, she looked left and right and didn't see them anymore. Although she knew that they couldn't have gone far since they just literally left the mall.
And as she was looking, her eyes met a black well tinted jeep packed beside the mall. And just before she could confirm the status of the vehicle, it immediately started and drove off.
At that moment, Amanda was convinced of two things. One, that inside the vehicle which just moved, was Ken and Mandy.
And two, if it was indeed them, she knew that she wasn't in the same class as them. Especially Ken who once knew.
_
Inside the vehicle, Mandy was driving steadily while Ken sat beside her.
There was silence for a moment, as Ken felt it as an awkward moment.
Well why wouldn't he? Mandy had just dusted his ex at his front, and although it felt great, it was still a bit awkward.
Just before Ken could make any movement to move out of this awkwardness, Mandy started.
"It looks like the both of us are in the same situation." She uttered, and then Ken replied.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean ex's, there are something else you know. After they leave, they find a way to show again in your life just for a crazy reason, am I right." Mandy turned to Ken as she asks this, before then turning back to the road.
"It looks like you are speaking from experience." Ken uttered, while he turned to Mandy.
Mandy then sighed and shook her head before uttering. "yeah…"
"However, who did that lady think she was…?" Mandy exclaimed. "…she thought she could just say what she said and make it look like she dumped you?" Mandy turned to Ken as she said this, however Ken didn't respond and then she turned back.
She indeed dumped him.
"You did handle yourself well… back there." Ken finally spoke after Mandy's gaze left him.
"Well I couldn't just stand there an take what she said. She wanted to make the moment awkward for both of us while we were talking."
"How do you mean…?" Ken asked, and Mandy responded.
"It was easy. I could see the look in her eyes. She was making the same face, just like the ladies in my high school days, who tried to pick a fight with me for no gad damn reason. Although just like today, I flushed them down."
"Do you know why they did that to you." Ken asked curiously.
Mandy then turned to him, and said before looking back at the road.
"It was because I was… pretty."
At this moment, Ken had a smile on his face. He felt like he now understood part of Mandy. All those scary faces she was giving weren't just normal.
She used them as a why do protect herself from anyone who might try to do anything to her. Or she he thought.
He could now feel a part of him seeing Mandy as a well strong and careful lady. Although all this were just a reason to make him want to fuck her.
...
"Even still that was the first time I was seeing her face…" Mandy proclaimed, while looking curious.
"What do you mean?" Ken asked, looking more surprised than she was.
"Well… I am a regular at that mall, and I know all the ladies there by name. We have a relationship that is more than just a normal staff and customer."
As Ken heard this, he mind went back to the time when Mandy gave the tip to the young lady and said this is for you and the girls.
'Oh… so that's what she meant by for the girls.' Ken thought.
"…however that was the first time I was seeing that… Amanda lady." Mandy continued. "…I was there about three weeks ago and didn't see her, so maybe she is a new staff… right." Mandy asked.
"Yeah… maybe."
Ken mumbled, while his thought about the time Amanda told him that she was going to work at a shopping mall back when they were still dating, flowed through his head.
And after that, their conversation ended there as they drove to there next destination.
