Chapter 81: Do you wanna get out of here…?
After a while of driving, Mandy and Ken arrived at their next destination.
'Isn't this place the…?' Ken thought as he stared out of the window, before asking.
"Is this where we are going…?"
"Ah… yes." Mandy responded. "…it is called Dating Nation. It is a new place for couples to have a good date."
'I'm aware of that,'Ken thought. '…I was just here yesterday.'
Immediately, they both came down from the vehicle, as Ken a specific urge coursing through his body.
He felt that going to a place he had been before was a bit odd. However, since it was with a different lady, and this time there isn't anyone who was going to be staring at him.
He was fine.
"Why does everyone want to come to this place?" Ken mumbled, as he went behind the vehicle to meet Mandy.
"Are you ready…?" Mandy asked, and then Ken nodded, as they entered the place.
...
Ken had already gone to this place before, an so he knew all and every place that could be nice to go with Mandy, and so he decided to ask her first.
"Where do we go first."
Mandy turned and stared at him puzzled. It was her first time coming here, so she was trying really hard to think of a good choice.
After a while of looking around this place, she finally gave up and checked at her phone.
"Hold on a minute." She uttered.
Meanwhile, Ken just stood at her front while he stared at her trying to search for a good place to go.
..
In Mandy's mind, it was not as if she didn't exactly know where to go. Although, since she was the one who brought Ken here, and with the way she thinks of him now, she wanted to make it pleasing to him.
While she was still looking at her phone, Ken thought.
'I would have suggested we go to the restaurant there just like how I started with Kimberly yesterday. Howeve—'
"I found it!" Mandy exclaimed, interrupting Ken's thoughts.
She showed him her phone to his face, and Ken saw what it displayed.
"The movies…?" Ken asked, puzzled with one eyebrow raised, and then Mandy nodded.
'She should have just said so earlier instead of checking her phone. Or did she actually come here without having a good knowledge of what the place offered?'
"That seems fine to me," Ken uttered. "…however can I ask you a question before we go?" Ken asked.
He had a serious expression on his face, and Mandy was stunned to see this.
'What does he want to ask?' Mandy wondered. '…Does he not like the movies?'
Mandy gulped before giving him her response. She felt like her plan of trying to make him pleased might have failed.
"Okay… good ahead." Mandy responded.
Before Ken gave her the question, he took a good look at her, and there he saw that face. That expression of her stern look.
This was her trying to act tough, that she can take what he was going to ask her. And Ken knew this. He has already figured out that she always puts on this face whenever she feels threatened.
..
Afterwards, Ken straightened himself, as this informed Mandy that he was about to ask her the question.
And so it came out.
"What did you choose this place…?"
'Huh' Mandy became puzzled.
'What does he mean by why… did I choose this place.' Mandy thought.
"I mean why did you choose this specific place for our meeting? I thought we were supposed to get… just a coffee. Not a date."
As soon as Ken finished this sentence, Mandy's eyes widened. And afterwards followed a little frown on her face.
She knew he might have asked her this question. However, not in this way.
It was true that they were supposed to go get a coffee, since that was the initial plan from the start.
However, now everything has changed. This was no longer the case. It was now more of a date, than just getting only coffee.
At this point, Mandy's facial expression changed. She was now a bit shy and disappointed at the same time.
'Why did he have to ask?' She thought. '…is he saying that he doesn't want to do this, and just get ordinary coffee? Why did I even choose this place? What made me think this was a good idea? What is wrong with me?'
...
On that day that Mandy was doing her usual commercial video, and that strange man suddenly came in, Mandy had begun to have a relaxing day.
This was because that strange man was supposed to be a boyfriend. Or rather, he was her boyfriend.
However, he left her without saying a word for six months. No text, no call, and no replies.
He left her blank.
And so this made Mandy who she was, until that day. Leaving her for six months , was what made Mandy to be so strict looking. She felt like she was betrayed and that she couldn't trust anyone anymore. Not after what the man had done to her
Although, since that incident occurred at her workplace. After the securities took the man away for trespassing, she knew that he was surely going to be sent to the lion's den.
And this made Mandy relaxed and happy. She thought that this was good for him, as it would act as punishment for what he did to her.
..
However, now that she had met Ken, she began to feel a good deal with him. Although they haven't actually talked about each past and all, however, he felt like she could trust him.
'This is what I want to believe,' Mandy thought. '…I don't want to leave that same lifestyle anymore. I feel like I am having fe—'
Mandy got interrupted by Ken, before she could continue her statement.
"I am not saying that I don't like it at all, I just want to know your reason." Ken proclaimed.
He had an honest expression on his face, as Mandy read it that he was serious about this question. And so she decided to answer.
"I just felt like instead of having only coffee, we could use this opportunity to get to know each other even more. I mean our siblings are really close, so I think it wouldn't hurt to do the same." Mandy felt shy as she said this.
She made sure not to make eye contact with Ken while she was talking, unless it would have made her heart skip.
"This would be for the interest of our siblings… that is." Mandy concluded.
'For the interest she says…' Ken thought. '…isn't that just an excuse to make sure we become close? What happened to her in the past days? Where is the Mandy that I first met?'
Afterwards, Ken nodded and then gestured for them to move on. He knew he had to just play along for the time being. That the real things were yet to come.
...
After a while, they both got to the theater, and then paid for the movie they were going to watch.
They also bought the popcorn that they were going to eat. While this was going on, Ken began feeling uneasy, as he thought to himself.
'I feel like I am living the same day again. This is almost like when I and Kimberly did this. I want something more than this.'
Ken then looked at Mandy. She has already taken the popcorn and begun walking to the movie room
She was excited.
_
Ken and Mandy entered the movie room, and then they found a good place to sit down. As they sat down, Ken noticed that this wasn't the same movie room that he and Kimberly entered.
The colors were different and the designs were also different. Ken didn't make much of the view, because he thought it was just like another movie room.
"Hey the movie is about to start." Mandy said to Ken, as she saw him looking at the whole place.
"Oh… yeah." Ken replied. He adjusted himself properly with his bucket of popcorn in his hands.
The movie started.
...
As the movie began, the sound echoed, was so loud that it gave the people a run for their money.
Ken noticed this, and realized that this particular movie room was indeed different from the one he entered yesterday.
'Did they do something to this place during the night, or is this actually a different movie room.' Ken thought.
He realized that he actually didn't see any double movie room the first time he was here.

'They really did make a change during the night.'
..
As the movie started, Ken realized something as he saw the first scenes.
'I think I have seen this before.' He thought.
As the next scene unfolded, Ken became certain. 'Yup… I know this movie. This was the same one I watched yesterday.'
Ken just realized that the movie on display was actually the same one that he saw the previous day. He then thought to himself, why didn't he check the movie before they paid for it.
Since it was still the same week, it was definitely going to be the same movie that would be on display.
'Damn…'
However, he remembered that he didn't actually pay attention to the movie yesterday, which was due to the fact that he was more focused he was on his mission.
As Ken was contemplating in his head, Mandy tapped his lap, and turned to him before saying.
"Do you wanna get out of here…?"
