"Are you okay?"

Arin looked puzzled. She remained silent for a second, as did Eiden after saying those words. Then Arin replied calmly, "What do you mean by that?"

Eiden gave a concerned smile and said, "I mean… aren't you Ruel's girlfriend?"

Arin nodded slowly and answered, "Yes. What about it?"

Eiden replied, "After that video got exposed, I was sure you'd be heartbroken. I'm sorry I didn't know you were this strong. And honestly, it wasn't my business to begin with. I might've stepped over my boundaries. I only meant to show concern," he said with a slight bow of apology.

Arin tilted her head in confusion. "What are you talking about? What video?" she asked, still composed. Eiden blinked in surprise. "You don't know about the video??" She shook her head in reply.

Eiden opened his backpack, quickly tore a piece of paper from his notebook, scribbled something down, and handed it to her. "Search this video. You'll understand."

Arin examined the note with curious eyes, then silently took it. Eiden bowed again, slightly, and turned to walk away. But just before disappearing from sight, he turned his head over his shoulder.

"Please don't tell anyone I told you about it," he said softly. Arin watched Eiden disappear down the hallway, then slowly looked back at the paper in her hand. She took a few steps to the side, slipped into a quiet corner, and pulled out her phone.

She typed in the title written on the note: "Unexpected Scene in Isolation". The search loaded instantly. She clicked the top result and watched silently.

Her right hand held the phone, while her left hand slowly moved up and covered her mouth. Her eyes widened in shock as the scene played. She was beginning to recognize who the person in the video was and what he was doing. Before the video even finished, she closed it abruptly. She stood still, completely silent.

Meanwhile, Eiden sat in class, pretending to pay attention to the lecture. The original teacher had returned from sick leave, replacing Miss Mika. But Eiden's thoughts were far from whatever subject was being taught. His mind was elsewhere. Before he had approached Arin, while still on the phone with Crysty about Sasha's birthday present, he had remembered about a certain quest he had recieved in the past regarding Arin one of Rule's harem. It hadn't been one of those standard 'conquer her' missions. Instead, it had a different objective:

Quest: Prevent Arin and Ruel's relationship from stabilizing.

Progress at time of trigger: 22%

That number had worried him. He had mentally called out, System-chan, show me Arin's current progress. Ding!

Arin: Progress — 19%

Eiden frowned. This isn't good. Her relationship with Ruel is stabilizing again… He began tapping his pen nervously against the desk. Then a stroke of genius hit him. Wait. I still have a weapon I can use. He glanced at his phone and thought, I could just show her the video… but wouldn't that make me look like a stalker? Ding!

System-chan chimed in her usual prideful tone. "If you'd like, I can help you with that."

Eiden blinked in surprise. Wait, really? How?

System-chan replied as if she'd been waiting for this moment. "As you can see, I'm a concept far beyond anything your Earth could offer. Uploading a video anonymously is nothing for me. I can make it appear as if it were posted yesterday."

Eiden tilted his head mentally. But wait… won't the view count give it away? It can't be trending, but if it has zero views, she'll know it was just uploaded. System-chan, ever calm, reassured him again.

"I can handle that too." That sounded amazing but he narrowed his eyes with a hint of skepticism. Okay… but what's the catch? Why are you offering this so casually?

System-chan chuckled in his head. "Think of this as an ability within your system. This is a tool created to help you in your journey to steal harems. We aren't doing some kind of give-and-take deal. I have my own restrictions. I can help in certain ways but not with stats or giving free points." Eiden nodded in understanding. So she can act like a behind-the-scenes assistant… a kind of system tech support with admin privileges. But even she has her limits.

Back in the classroom, Eiden sat anxiously, eyes occasionally flickering to the corner of his screen waiting, Then . Ding!

Progress Update: Arin - 50%

Quest Cleared: You have successfully prevented Arin's relationship with Ruel from stabilizing.

Reward Unlocked: Choose one of the following:

① Skill: Soothing Voice

② Status Points: +5

Eiden blinked. Why can't I get both?

System-chan answered immediately.

"Because you didn't conquer her. Just broke the bond. Quest type matters." Eiden sighed. Fair enough. Then, without hesitation, he chose:

[Soothing Voice Acquired]

He grinned as the new skill appeared in his empty skill list for the first time. He'd had nothing there since the beginning. Finally, something was filling that blank space.

"Now," Eiden said to himself, "time to learn a song. Quick." He didn't have much time. Sasha's birthday was today. And while a gift was still undecided, he now had a voice that could touch emotions literally.

[Skill Acquired: Soothing Voice]

Description: Your voice carries an inexplicable warmth and calm. When used in speech, song, or emotionally charged communication, it slightly lowers hostility and increases emotional vulnerability in listeners.

Effect: +Small charm bonus during dialogue

Bonus: Singing or reading aloud may trigger minor emotional events depending on listener relationship status.

Back in the hallway, Arin stood silently, her phone now dark in her hand. She had watched enough of the video to know what she needed to.

That was Ruel. And what he was doing was something she couldn't deny not even to protect her pride. She looked once more at the paper Eiden had handed her, the words scrawled in his messy handwriting:

"Unexpected Scene in Isolation"

Arin's lips parted, but no sound came. Her body trembled ever so slightly not from fear, but realization. It wasn't just betrayal. It was the fact that someone else had known, and had quietly shown her without asking anything in return.

She looked back toward the hallway where Eiden had disappeared. And for the first time since she'd joined Ruel's circle… She didn't feel sure about anything anymore.
