Harem Stealing System

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Unexpected weapon

Eiden sat at the classroom, sighing with the confirmation of a new hurdle that was just hard to imagine getting over. His head dropped down, and he looked up at the teacher, then looked down again. Then his eyes widened. "Wait a minute... doesn't this mean Lyra is at 46%? Which is almost as good as done? Isn't she too close to breaking it off with Ruel?!"

At first, Eiden thought 100% was the point where the relationship finally collapsed. But now that he knew the reality 50% was the true breaking point it meant he was just a nudge away from success. "So does that mean just a little push and... done?!". Ding! Affirmative, said System-chan in her usual robotic chirp.

Eiden's mood, which had been dragging in the dust all morning, suddenly spiked up like a rocket. A spark of wicked satisfaction returned to his eyes. "Okay," he muttered to himself, "let's just focus on the quest ahead, not this new one. I'll let this quest be handled by future me. But for now, let's concentrate on the more doable one." Now filled with a little more hope and renewed motivation, Eiden began to think through his plans for the quest ahead. The bell rang. The class ended.

And like a bullet, after the break, Eiden sprinted out the door and began looking for Lyra. He headed toward her class, weaving through the crowd. But then, he stopped midway.

He didn't want it to seem like he was actively looking for her. That would be too obvious. Instead, he decided it would be better if they just happened to cross paths naturally. So he lingered casually near the hallway corner, leaning against a wall like he had no care in the world. After waiting for a while, he saw Lyra . He straightened his back and readied himself, calming his nerves, only to immediately freeze again as he spotted Linda the supposedly pretty girl who rejected him.

"Damn!! Linda!? Why is she with her now, of all times?!" He grimaced. "Well, it's actually none of my business who hangs out with who… but still! I was this close!" He grit his teeth. His carefully thought-out plan instantly crumbled like dry paper in the rain. Eiden sighed and turned around, deciding to walk in the opposite direction, abandoning the plan entirely.

And then suddenly he felt a hand wrap tightly around his neck."Guh ! What the ?!"

Eiden coughed, startled, twisting his head back to see the familiar face of his close friend Deuel Shemen, who he had been friends with for over a year now.

Deuel was nearly the same height as Eiden. He had brown eyes and unkempt brown hair. He wasn't exactly a head-turner just average-looking at best. A bit thinner than Eiden too. His father was a doctor, so the family was quite well-off. His mother was a housewife, and he had a younger brother, four years his junior.

"Don't choke me like that out of nowhere!" Eiden said with a mildly annoyed tone, brushing Deuel's arm off. Deuel only grinned.

"You don't have to take it out on me just because you got rejected," he said with a teasing smile.

"Oh boy, here we go again…" Eiden rolled his eyes. With a more mocking tone, Deuel added, "I saw you stop and turn around after you saw Linda just now. Feeling awkward, huh?" He nudged his elbow into Eiden's ribs with a smirk. "No, it's not the case," Eiden replied flatly.

Though internally, he admitted: Well… it's kinda true. "Cooomeee onnnn," Deuel said, dragging out his words. "She probably doesn't even remember you anymore. You're like a stick that poked her once on the side of the road. She won't recognize you at all. So cheer up!" Eiden frowned.

"Dude, what kind of cheer-up is this?"

Hahahaha! Deuel laughed, nearly bending over and holding his stomach as if Eiden's pain was the best stand-up act he'd seen.

As they walked toward the cafeteria together, Deuel nudged him again and asked, "So what've you been up to these days? Why haven't I seen you at all? The boys and I thought you were in your bed bawling your eyes out or something."

Eiden brushed Deuel's hand off his shoulder again and replied nonchalantly, "I was busy with Sasha." Deuel's expression immediately shifted. The playfulness drained away.

Eiden had hit a nerve. A sore one. See, Deuel had once tried to get close to Sasha. But instead of romance, he had ended up as just one of Eiden's boys. They'd become real friends, but the unspoken history lingered, and Sasha was still a sensitive topic for Deuel.

And Eiden? He knew that. He hit the nerve on purpose.

Deuel stared at him, visibly annoyed. "Dude, you don't have to hit that part on me like that, bruh." "You started," Eiden replied with a smirk. "F*** you, bro." "Same," Eiden said back casually.

They exchanged light-hearted slurs and headed inside the cafeteria, joking like old friends again. But just as they entered, something caught Eiden's eye.

It was Ruel Lyra's so-called boyfriend.

And he wasn't alone. He was with a girl, and from the way they moved, it didn't look like a casual hallway chat. Ruel seemed to be heading toward a less crowded wing of the building with the girl clinging onto his arm.

Eiden's instincts kicked in. "I'll be right back," he said to Deuel. "Gotta hit the washroom."

Deuel raised an eyebrow. "Don't get rejected somewhere again." "Shut up," Eiden shot back as he quickly tailed Ruel from a distance.

Careful not to be seen, he followed them through a hallway, then up a stairwell. They entered a classroom that hadn't been used in a long time dusty, tucked away, isolated.

Eiden's suspicions soared. He crouched down and crept up to the slightly ajar door. Peeking inside, he saw exactly what he expected… and a bit more. Ruel was kissing the girl, his hands boldly placed on her thighs. She was sitting on a desk, arms wrapped around his neck.

Eiden's eyes widened, his cheeks reddened slightly. "What the hell…" He pulled out his phone. Clicked Record. He started recording the scene, unsure of whether he was gathering intel… or just watching live adult content. They didn't stop as clothes started to shift, undergarments loosened.

Eiden knew exactly what was happening now.

But instead of turning away, he continued recording trying not to laugh, trying not to blush any harder. "Free live p*rn, huh," he muttered under his breath. Once he was sure he had enough footage, he backed away from the door and quietly exited. He walked briskly to the washroom, locked himself inside a stall, and re-watched the video.

Everything was captured clearly. The make-out. The touches, the stripping and Everything. Eiden stared at the screen, his thoughts racing. This is a weapon. A nuclear-level one. He didn't need to use this video. Lyra would likely give up on Ruel over time on her own. She was already at 46%, after all.

But this? This would instantly progress things.

This would shatter any trust she had left in Ruel. Eiden grinned.

"Now… how should I show it to her?"
