Chapter 28: Winter break
Soon I finished all of my students' midterm exams. I was pleasantly surprised seeing none of my students failed.
I passed Marcus to prevent another freakout. And because he won't be coming back to Hogwarts after the Holidays anyway.
As the students prepared to leave for the Holidays, Albus came to visit me.
"What can I help you with?" I asked whilst leaning back into my chair
He frowned, "I need more information,"
I laughed at him, "Albus, being against each other from the start won't help anyone,"
"You told me you are far worse than a dark lord, how can I ever have a good relationship with you? If it weren't for the information you hold you would be in Azkaban!" He sneered while walking closer to me I could feel his dense magical power building up
I smirked, I've never seen Albus like this. He usually exudes an aura of knowledge and power.
The man before me exudes an aura of dominance, "Albus, let's not lie to ourselves. Who was the one that helped Gellert Grindelwald come up with his attack plan?"
He paused momentarily, "You know many things you shouldn't," his tone was guarded
Scoffing I replied, "I'm not judging you, Albus, I'm merely pointing out that no one is perfect. Yes, many would consider me worse than a dark lord while others would consider me a fighter for humanity. It's all about perspective and the sooner you realize this the sooner we can truly begin our alliance,"
I stood up and began to walk for my classroom door, "Since we did come to an agreement I will tell you this the next dark lord attended Hogwarts, you even taught him,"
"Tom," He said softly
I smirked as I opened the door, "And my teaching material for after the break?"
"You can teach synchronized casting but, continue to call it that 'group casting'. In addition, find a way to hide the ritualistic outlook," He replied calmly
"I will," I responded then shut the door
Many might think 'What's the difference between group casting and synchronized casting?' simply put there is none. The name is hardly enough to stop smarter witches and wizards from finding out what I'm teaching.
It's to stop the dumber ones. Smart witches and wizards will realize if we are teaching it then Albus is confident the students are safe. The dumber ones will throw a fit and proclaim it's too dangerous.
Synchronized casting is only labeled as dangerous because of a time period when several unfit teachers were hired one after another. This caused many accidents for the students, resulting in Britain and some other countries fearing it would happen to them, banning synchronized casting training for students.
The topic was supposed to be revisited but to my knowledge, a couple of wars happened causing the matter to be put aside.
Which was a shame considering the younger you are the better it is to learn synchronized casting.

Finally the students left for Holdiay break, some students stayed but luckily Marcus Note left the castle with the majority of the students.
I put a tracking charm on him so I can easily find him once I'm able to leave. It would have been rather annoying if he decided to stay for the holidays.
It's been a couple of days since the students left and now I was waiting for one of my timed tracking charms to activate. This charm was special because it only activated when a demonic magical presence was in the atmosphere.
Like a perfectly executed play the tracking charm activated. I opened my eyes and took some Phoenix ash. Throwing it at my feet I mumbled the "Marcus Note,"
*FWOOM* in a burst of flames I disappeared from my room
*Narrator pov *
In an empty forest, a young child could be seen. The scene would be quite beautiful with the winter snow blanketing the trees and ground, but blood was splattered everywhere in various shapes as if a ritual was about to commence.
The young child was Marcus Note, he stood in the middle of the blood-covered forest, his expression devoid of any emotions.
His eyes appeared slanted and his nails sharpened like knives.
Soon he began to chant, "Come take my body I sacrifice it to thee," he was using the language of temptation
"My Lord your Vessel is waiting for your gentle embrace!" his voice sounded hoarse, and blood began to leak from his eyes and nostrils
"MY LORD PLEASE ACCEPT MY PITIFUL SOUL!" A deep red aura began to leak from every pore on his body
*FWOOM* a dark red flame appeared outside of the ritual circle, Morphues's figure appeared after the flash
Marcus's eyes widened, and as he went to say something his body began to convulse.
Morpheus just stood to the side waiting for whatever was happening to finish, a curious gleam in his eyes.
Suddenly Marcus's body stood straight and poised. It was as if he was a different person altogether.
Marcus or was it Marcus? Began to speak, "Fina-"
"So that's what was happening, I'm surprised you demons advanced your methods so far in such a short amount of time. To be able to possess a human body to break into the human world is quite a feat," Morpheus said in shock
The demon looked over at Morpheus and sneered, "So you're still around,"
Morpheus laughed, "So you can't use the language of temptation while in a human body? How interesting,"
"Enough Morpheus! You have plagued my people for far too long it's time to get rid of you," The demons said coldly before rushing at Morpheus
The demon moved far faster than any human could, just as he was about to reach Morpheus the snow on the ground turned to spikes of ice.
*bang!* The demon jumped dodging the spikes leaving a shockwave in his absence
Morpheus waved his wand as if he were an orchestrator and the trees around him began to shift into giant puppets.
The demon sneered and suddenly a deep purple fire enveloped its body.
*SHOOM!*
*CRACK* The demon threw a fireball at one puppet while jumping atop another. Just making contact with the wooden puppets caused his flames to eat through the wood.
"Weak!" He sneered while jumping at Morpheus who hadn't moved an inch
Soaring through the sky the demon moved his body to avoid a string of curses.
*Shua!* The demon landed on the snow right in front of a now-surprised Morpheus, his hand shot forward like a spear
*shiickkk* the toe-curling sound of Morphues's body being stabbed through echoed throughout the forest
"Old age got to you," The demon smirked triumphantly
"And hubris you," Morphues's voice sounded behind him
The demon's eyes widened in shock, he tried to jump away but it was too late the fake Morphued broke into class shards and stabbed forward lodging themselves into the demon.
*scrrrr* "ARGH!" The demon grunted in pain his blood dripping onto the snow
Morpheus's voice sounded once more this time in the center of the previous ritual circle, "Just as I thought, while possessing a human your weaknesses are the same as one. You might have more strength and those little flames but you can still die like a human," He sounded like a researcher dissecting his patient
Marcus growled deeply before conjuring a wave of flames, with a wave of his hand he sent them at Morpheus.
Flicking his wand the snow clinging to the trees turned to water and met the wave of flames head-on.
*sssssssss* the water was quickly turning into steam
Morpheus smirked and transfigured a wall in front of the precious ritual circle, then he controlled the steam and compressed it.
Flicking his wrist the steam shot out at the demon like bullets while the transfigured wall fought the flames.
The demon tried to create an armor made of flames but the compressed steam tore through his defenses riddling his body with holes.
"AHHHHHHH!" The demon screamed in agony while hunching over
Suddenly the small body of the late Marcus Note began to pulse as if his skin was living.
Morpheus held his wand with both hands in front of his face. Like a knight holding a sword, then he began to chant softly.
The demon's body began to swell, and rip apart growing into a hulking figure. A dark red aura spread across the forest.
Around Morphued it seemed like the stars gleaming in the sky focused on his body, more specifically above his head.
"GRAHHHH! I'LL KILL YOU, BASTARD!" The demon roared while running forward he was much faster than before
The demon swung his giant hand forward, and right as it was about to impact with Morpheus's body an ethereal shield appeared.
*Bang!* the fist stopped in its tracks
The demon looked up in surprise, above Morphues was a giant ethereal Knight seemingly made from the stars.
Before the demon could react the knight's sword swung swiftly through the air creating a mesmerizing arc.
*shickk* the demon couldn't even react as its head was chopped cleanly off
In the blood-painted forest, a lone pale man stood, a giant red body in front of him while a knight made of stars loomed overhead.
It was a pity the sight was not painted, as it was beautiful beyond comparison.
