Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Flash Bomb!

The moonlight shone brightly over Godric's Hollow.

At the highest point in the town, atop the bell tower of a small church in the central square, two figures stood—one in front and one behind.

The man in front wore a black leather coat, his heterochromatic pupils gleaming under the moonlight. His face was sharp and angular, as if carved by a blade. He stood silently, gazing into the distance with an air of nobility—reserved, yet undeniably arrogant.

This man was none other than Gellert Grindelwald, the one who had once turned the entire European wizarding world upside down.

Behind him stood a woman of striking beauty and elegance—his most trusted assistant, Vita Rosier.

"Sir… why such a high-profile attack on this place?" Vita broke the silence.

Grindelwald turned slightly, his lips curling into a faint smile. "Because I want to understand why, amidst such a tense situation, the ever-busy Dumbledore would go to great lengths to protect two children."

He glanced at Vita. "So, I want to 'invite' those two kids over for a proper conversation."

As he spoke, he looked towards the misty distance, his eyes narrowing.

"I must admit, Dumbledore has a keen eye. Not many at this age could take down my men so effortlessly."

A trace of admiration flickered in his gaze as he watched Robert emerge from the fog.

"If I can take that child from Dumbledore," Grindelwald mused, a glint of amusement in his expression, "his reaction will surely be fascinating."

Vita chuckled. "The child is already surrounded."

The white mist dissipated.

Robert was now fully exposed to the Witch Party.

Though they had heard reports that their opponent was merely an eleven-year-old boy, seeing him with their own eyes still felt unreal.

An eleven-year-old had managed to defeat several seasoned members of the Witch Party…

The group surrounding Robert was a mix of disbelief and amusement.

"Hah! So it's really just a kid!"

"Olev got taken down by this little brat? I swear, I'll be teasing him about this for the rest of my life!"

"Come here, little one, don't be shy—come to your big sister!"

"Put down your wand, kid! Make it easy for yourself!"

"Heh, just hit him with a Cruciatus Curse—he'll behave!"

"Hey! Olev, you still breathing?"

"Out of my way! I'll finish him off!"

"Hold it! Have you forgotten our orders?"

Robert remained calm.

The Witch Party members who had previously been defeated by him were now back on their feet, rescued by their comrades. Their eyes burned with humiliation and anger.

Being bested by a child was beyond disgraceful.

If Grindelwald hadn't ordered Robert to be captured alive, they would've used the Killing Curse instead of the Cruciatus Curse.

"I'll say this one more time—drop your wand!" one of them barked.

"Why waste words? Expelliarmus!"

A flash of red light shot toward Robert.

But with a simple sidestep, he evaded the spell effortlessly.

Laughter erupted among the Witch Party.

"Hah! Jester, you can't even hit a kid!"

"Love, shut up!" Jester snapped, his face darkening.

"Stupefy!"

The Stunning Spell blasted forward—

"Boom!"

Jester's Shield Charm cracked under the impact. He stumbled back a step, his expression shocked.

That single step backward sparked another round of laughter.

Not only had he missed his own attack, but he had also been forced back by a child's spell.

After the laughter faded, someone murmured, "You know, that kid's magic is actually pretty strong."

"Well, of course! How else do you think he took them down?"

More laughter followed.

"Enough!" Jester shouted, his face red with embarrassment.

"Alright, kid, try breaking through my Shield Charm—I dare you!"

Robert stood at the center, surrounded by Witch Party members who exuded an air of overconfidence.

They believed he had no way out.

Like a cat toying with a mouse…

Their guard was completely down.

Slowly, Robert raised his wand.

But the Witch Party members didn't take him seriously.

They had witnessed his magic firsthand. Strong? Yes. But against their numbers? Escape was impossible.

Some even taunted him, daring him to attack.

Their relaxed smiles remained as they watched him lift his wand.

It was clear—they were completely unprepared.

At that moment, Robert whispered, "Since when did you assume I couldn't fight back?"

The Witch Party members burst into laughter.

"This kid is still bluffing!"

Robert said nothing more. He raised his wand above his head and covered his eyes with his other hand.

"Lumos!"

The laughter stopped.

The Witch Party members looked at him in confusion.

Why, at this moment, was he using the Wand-Lighting Charm instead of an attack spell?

Then—

A tiny light appeared at the tip of Robert's wand.

And the next second—

The brightness surged a hundredfold!

"Buzz!"

A blinding flash engulfed the Witch Party.

"Aaaah!"

Cries of agony erupted as those who had stared at the light were instantly blinded.

Robert swiftly pointed his wand at his ears.

"Muffliato!"

Then, he aimed at his throat.

"Sonorus!"

In their disoriented state, the Witch Party members failed to react in time.

Robert took a deep breath—

Then released a thunderous roar!

"ROOOOAR!"

The sheer volume shattered every window in Godric's Hollow.

Those hiding indoors trembled in terror.

"Aaagh!"

Already blinded, the Witch Party was now deafened as well.

It was a devastating one-two strike.

They clutched their ears, writhing on the ground in pain. Blood trickled from their eardrums.

Even the Shield Charm couldn't block sonic attacks.

Robert stood firm, watching his enemies collapse one by one. Their magic shields flickered and vanished.

As a biologist, he understood human vulnerabilities.

The eyes and eardrums were two of the weakest points.

A direct attack on these would instantly cripple an opponent.

And magic—unlike science—was fueled by will and emotion.

Under Robert's sheer determination, the simplest of spells had been amplified a hundredfold.

Together, they mimicked a flashbang grenade—blinding light followed by a concussive soundwave.

The results spoke for themselves.

Robert waved his wand. The loose stones on the ground twisted into thick ropes, binding the incapacitated Witch Party members.

Finally, he exhaled in relief.

But just as he let his guard down—

A hand gripped his shoulder.

"Well done," a voice murmured, "but since when did you assume you were safe?"

Robert's expression froze.

Slowly, he turned his head—

And found himself face-to-face with Grindelwald's amused gaze.
