Chapter 60: Naked
Yùn Yì stopped just before the small pond, her reflection shimmering in the still water under the pale moonlight. She took a deep breath, steadying herself, and focused on channeling her Absolute Zero Physique.
The air around her grew colder, frost creeping across the edges of the pond as she began to freeze the water.
Yùn Yì wasn't entirely sure why the Second Young Master wanted her to do this, but she trusted his guidance.
If he believed this was a necessary step in her training, she wouldn't question it.
Instead, Yùn Yì concentrated harder, pouring her focus into the task as the ice slowly spread across the surface, crackling softly.
'Hopefully, I get praised…' Yùn Yì thought to herself, a small, shy smile tugging at her lips.
She always cherished the rare moments when the Second Young Master praised her—it filled her with a warm, fluttery feeling that she couldn't quite understand but secretly adored.
Yùn Yì's body always seemed to respond strangely during those moments, heat rising to her cheeks and spreading across her chest.
It was a sensation she couldn't explain, one that left her both nervous and excited, but she liked it nonetheless.
"All done!" Yùn Yì called out, turning to glance back at where the Second Young Master stood. Her voice carried a mix of pride and anticipation, her eyes sparkling with the hope of earning his approval.
She gestured to the now-frozen pond. "Now, what should I do?" she asked, her tone eager and obedient.
With a deep breath, Yùn Yì reined in the coldness radiating from her body, allowing the air to return to its natural coolness.
Despite her calm exterior, her heart pounded in her chest. She silently prayed she had met the Second Young Maser's expectations—anything to earn a hint of praise from him.
'So fast?' Feng Shen raised an eyebrow, genuinely surprised. His personal servant had managed to gain basic control over her Absolute Zero Physique far more quickly than he'd anticipated.
He had expected her to struggle with doing it consistently on the first try.
Though it was still at a very low level, his personal servant's progress was undeniable.
Feng Shen couldn't help but wonder if it came naturally to her because she was born with it.
Still, a part of him hesitated to draw conclusions.
Feng Shen often judged others through the lens of his own abilities, assuming that what came easily to him should be simple for everyone else.
"Not bad," Feng Shen said, his tone neutral.
He strode toward his personal servant with a calm grace, his piercing gaze sweeping over the frozen pond.
Stopping at its edge, Feng Shen rubbed his chin thoughtfully, as though appraising her work.
With a nod of satisfaction, he stepped onto the frozen surface.
Each step Feng Shen took was elegant and deliberate, his movement so light that the ice didn't crack or even creak beneath him.
Reaching the center of the pond, he came to a halt, his eyes shifting downward to the ice beneath his feet.
A faint smirk tugged at Feng Shen's lips as he silently tested its integrity.
Then, without warning, he lifted his foot and brought it down sharply; the impact resonating through the stillness.
A sharp crack echoed as a small section of the ice splintered and gave way, fragments tumbling into the dark, frigid water below.
Ripples spread outward from the hole, the cold air mingling with the sound of shattering ice.
Watching this display, Yùn Yì tilted her head, her confusion clear. Her brows furrowed slightly, and her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came out.
It was as though a series of question marks had materialized above her head, capturing her bewilderment perfectly.
"Second Young Master," Yùn Yì finally said, her voice hesitant, "I... don't understand. What does breaking the ice mean?"
Feng Shen slowly lifted his eyes from the small hole of water, his eyes narrowing as he focused on his personal servant:
"It's quite simple," he uttered, pausing for a moment:
"To wield the Ice Phoenix Technique, you must first perfect your body, honing it until it becomes entirely resistant to the cold. Without that mastery, even the slightest misstep will result in disaster."
Feng Shen closed his mouth. He turned away without another glance, his movements deliberate and measured as he walked back.
The sound of his footsteps echoed faintly on the still ice.
When Feng Shen reached the land, he didn't stop immediately but continued for a few more steps.
Finally, he halted just beside his personal servant:
"If you attempt to channel such a powerful technique without that foundation, you'll freeze yourself to death."
"Freeze... myself to death?" Yùn Yì gulped, her voice laced with confusion and a hint of concern. She hadn't realized her power could be so dangerous if left unchecked.
Feng Shen's expression remained neutral:
"Yes. Your Absolute Zero Physique grants you immunity to cold, but your body is still adapting. If you use techniques that exceed your current limits, you'll freeze yourself to death."
"I—I understand…" Yùn Yì nodded firmly, her determination evident in the way she stood a little straighter. She was resolute, eager to master such a powerful technique. "So, what must I do now?"
Feng Shen glanced back at the frozen pond. "Undress and step into the hole," he instructed:
"Submerge your entire body, but make sure to keep your head above the water."
Silence…
"Excuse me…?" Yùn Yì muttered under her breath, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of red as the words took a moment to sink in.
She could hardly believe what she had just heard. Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
Was the Second Young Master serious? Yùn Yì's eyes flickered nervously toward him, desperately hoping for a sign that he had been joking or that she had somehow misheard him.
But no. His face remained impassive, as unreadable as ever, and his silence only reinforced the seriousness of his words.
Yùn Yì swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest.
There was no mistaking it now. The Second Young Master wasn't joking.
"But... why?" Yùn Yì stammered, still unsure if she could bring herself to obey. The task seemed daunting, and her thoughts raced as she tried to comprehend the logic behind it.
Her heart pounded even harder as she wrestled with her thoughts.
It was true—no man had ever seen Yùn Yì naked before, but the idea of the Second Young Master being the one to witness it... well, that was different, wasn't it?
They had shared intimate moments already, like hugging and holding hands, and his words, though stern, made her think—he was, after all, her future husband.
As the realization slowly crept in, Yùn Yì's nerves started to ease, though a nervous blush still painted her cheeks.
Feng Shen wasn't surprised by his personal servant's hesitation; he had seen it before.
After all, Most women would react this way.
For some reason, Feng Shen couldn't fully comprehend why they did.
Many held their naked form as something sacred, something that no man should ever see.
It was a concept foreign to Feng Shen—one he didn't particularly care about—but he understood it was a deeply ingrained belief in others:
"Hmm~? Well, you can't properly cultivate your resistance to the cold unless the chill fully reaches your skin."
Feng Shen continued as he found a log to take a seat on:
"Additionally, you must allow the cold to seep into your Qi and flow through your meridians, allowing it to strengthen your inner energy. Only then will your outer body and skin gradually grow tougher and more resistant to the cold."
"I understand…" Yùn Yì understood the Second Young Master's reasoning.
Slowly, she began to undress.
Yùn Yì couldn't quite place why, but a small part of her wanted to look graceful and seductive, hoping for some acknowledgment from the Second Young Master.
As she stole glances toward him, she caught his indifferent yawn.
The Second Young Master's lack of reaction caught her off guard, and a wave of frustration mixed with embarrassment surged within Yùn Yì, slightly deflating her pride.
She had expected some kind of reaction, a compliment, or at least a hint of lust.
But there was nothing.
This reality stung, but at the same time, it only deepened Yùn Yì's feelings for the Second Young Master.
His indifference to her appearance, his focus solely on her growth and progress, made her feel as though he saw something far more valuable in her than just her looks.
After all, Yùn Yì knew that any man would be unable to look away from a beautiful woman like herself if she were to bare her skin.
Yet, there he stood, the Second Young Master, unmoved and indifferent.
Yùn Yì couldn't suppress a warm smile as she fully undressed, revealing her full, curvaceous form.
Her skin, flawless. Every inch of her was the embodiment of purity and beauty, captivating in its untouched perfection.
Turning her eyes away from the Second Young Master, Yùn Yì couldn't help but get lost in her own thoughts:
'I love him!! I loooove him, love him, I absolutely, uncontrollably, super love him!!! no one, nothing, can ever compare to him!!'
