Chapter 18: 15 How babies are made and Yahweh is an artist.
The baby had soft, chubby cheeks, his skin glowing with a healthy, peachy hue. A small tuft of silky hair, emerald green slightly tousled, crowned his round head, giving him an adorably unkempt charm. His large, glowing eyes were a shade of blue, sparkling with curiosity and innocence. A button-like nose and a tiny, heart-shaped mouth completed his angelic face, while his plump little fingers curled and uncurled towards Ender and Gaia.
*Cackle
As if celebrating the child the Earth seemed to tremble with happiness a small grass bed formed under the child cradling him.
"Oh, sh—" Holding his mouth to stop cursing in front of the baby.
Ender's face drained of color his mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. "Did… did we just…?"
Ender stared at the child, then at Gaia, then back at the child. "Wait. Did we just accidentally make a kid?!"
His voice carried a mix of disbelief and a hint of panic. God's being born from random events always baffled him. This is why he had painstakingly crafted specific wards, spells, and even a special bath to prevent such "divine accidents." And yet, here they were.
Gaia's maternal instincts overrode any confusion. She gently scooped the child into her arms, her expression softening into pure adoration. The baby grasped her index finger with his tiny hand, his grip surprisingly firm for someone so small. Her heart melted as she squealed with delight, her usual serene demeanor replaced by childlike excitement. "Husband, look at him! We have another child! What should we name him?"
Ender broke out of his thoughts but instead of a name he focused on another keyword "Another!?" He looked incredulous he immediately went to check the piece of rock inspecting it but when he didn't find anything he sighed in relief and appeared next to Gaia he practically shouted "Another child?"
Gaia giggled at his reaction, her musical laughter filling the grove. "I was about to tell you." As she spoke, soft green vines sprouted from the earth, cradling the baby in a gentle embrace. The child giggled as the vines lifted him, giving him the sensation of flying.
Then Gaia took Ender's hand and pressed it to her abdomen, her smile widening. "Husband, there is another life growing here."
Ender froze, his mind struggling to catch up. "Wait… you mean you're pregnant already?! How?! That fast?!" But then it hit him, she was Gaia, the Mother Goddess, the embodiment of life itself. The concept of divine timeframes or biology hardly applied to her.
But with shock came excitement as he lifted Gaia off the ground "Oh my god, oh my god, I am going to become a father."
"You already are, Husband," Gaia teased, pointing toward the baby now clapping his hands gleefully, seemingly celebrating the commotion.
Ender's grin faltered for a moment as uncertainty crept. 'Will I be a good father?' he thought. He gently took the child from the vines, cradling him in his arms.
The grove suddenly filled with fairies who flitted about, their laughter in harmony with the baby's giggles. They circled the child, poking his cheeks and showering him with sparkling dust. Their voices rang out like a choir:
"First child of the goddess is born!"
"A god of the sun, radiant as the dawn!"
"The God-Killer is here!"
Ender preferred to ignore their exclamations trusting Fairies, Norns, and Demons is the first step for one to fall.
But the same wasn't true for Gaia who approached Ender "Ender, ignore them they just like to mess around." Though she sounded uncertain.
Sensing her worries Ender chuckled lifting the child as he lifted him toward the Sun the child was eclipsed his body started glowing golden.
Ender felt pride feeling his son's power, and the child tried to say something but wasn't able to, Ender laughed 'It looks like being a father will not be a bad experience.'
"What do you want to name our child Gaia?" He turned to Gaia who stopped panicking and said, "
Gaia watched the scene, her smile widening. "So, husband, what shall we name him?"
Ender turned to her, his expression softening. He shifted the baby into one arm and reached for Gaia's hand with the other. "The honor is yours, my love. What name do you think suits him?"
(Elder Gods Artic)
The air above the frozen wasteland rippled with dark energy as the Elder Gods gathered, their descent into demonic degeneracy was unmistakable. Their eyes burned with greed as they encircled the Progenitor's 'grave,' they tried to feed at the cosmic energy sealed within.
But the seal, they could not breach it. The Elder Gods' frustration boiled over, and their focus turned from the celestial prize to one another.
Above them, Chthon hovered, his form shadowy with a seething frustration. His red, glowing eyes narrowed as he muttered, "Damn you, Gaia and Ender. How did they manage to create this?"
He clenched his hands, his dark magic crackling in frustration. The Progenitor's essence radiated immense power, enough to strengthen him beyond the confines of his current power, but with every spell he invoked, the seal repelled him at every turn.
As if mocking him, the faint hum of the seal pulsed louder, a reminder of its invulnerability. Chthon's lip curled in disdain. He could unleash his full power, but he wasn't a fool. Such seals were often traps as much as they were barriers. To trigger its defenses recklessly could mean his destruction.
His musings were interrupted by a loud, guttural roar as one of the Elder Gods, an insectoid abomination with writhing tendrils, bellowed in rage. "If I can't have this, I'll take your power instead!" it screeched, lunging at its nearest 'sibling'.
The battlefield erupted into chaos as the Elder Gods turned on one another, their claws rending flesh, fangs sinking into corrupted hides.
Chthon's frustration deepened as he watched the carnage. These fools were too consumed by their degenerative instincts to realize they were losing their power. He sneered. "Idiots. All of you."
And then it happened, a desperate collective assault from several Elder Gods. Their combined might strike the seal with an ear-splitting crack.
But the seal responded immediately.
BOOM!
A surge of brilliant light erupted from the seal, accompanied by the roar of thunder. Lightning lashed out like celestial whips, striking the offending Elder Gods. One of them, an amorphous mass of shadow and bone, disintegrated instantly, its screams echoing across the icy expanse. The others were left writhing on the ground, their once-formidable forms reduced to charred husks.
Chthon shielded himself from the blinding brilliance. As the light subsided, he assessed the aftermath. One fewer Elder God to contend with, but the seal remained unbroken, and its defenses had grown stronger.
He growled, his frustration now mixed with grudging admiration. "I will find a way."
Chthon's gaze lingered on the grave for a moment longer. He could feel the Progenitor's essence, so close yet utterly inaccessible. He turned and vanished into the shadows, plotting his next move.
The rest of the elder gods continued attacking each other unknowingly calling their doom faster than expected.
(Flickering Realms- Chthon's dimension)
As he appeared in his dimension he couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine a sudden unease gripping him as if, he were in the presence of a predator, this feeling was new to him, he had encountered beings more powerful than him the Creator God of Heaven, Buri (Tiwaz), and Ender (he observed him) but they didn't evoke the dread and he couldn't pinpoint the reason of it.
"Looks like I will have to facilitate my plan, where are you Set, his essence will help me" He mutters. Searching for his more powerful 'sibling' and his other siblings who remain uncorrupted "Skrymir (Utgard-Loki), Toranos, Tiwaz (Buri) Their essence will be a nice addition but where are they? And this Oshtur has also vanished somewhere could it be that they had found a way to create a dimension?" He wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to considering he and Set already had one and probably Gaia too.
"Looks like I will have to consume the weaker ones first." He decides.
(Serpent's Sea Set's Dimension)
Like Chthon, Set also felt a feeling of dread even after consuming several other Elder Gods the feeling didn't vanish.
"I will need to act fast and create my followers, the reptile's body will serve as a good vessel." He mutters his snake form slithering away.
It was the same for every degenerated elder god they all had a sudden feeling as if a sword was hanging above their head this only fueled their desperation for power.
(Ender)
"I'll need to create a proper place for my ever-growing family," Ender muttered, glancing around Gaia's Grove. It was beautiful and serene, but far too small to house everything he envisioned. The thought of moving them to Overworld crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed it. Gaia was deeply connected to Earth, and leaving this realm would only weaken her. Besides, Overworld was populated solely by his Magic Beasts, Armor Knights, and mobs.
Fortunately, Gaia's Grove resided on an isolated landmass, one untouched by future humanity. It wasn't part of the continents that would later form Europe or Asia, but an entirely different land. The land was vast, half the size of modern Australia.
Turning to Gaia, he said, "Gaia, can you create ponds and lakes, transform the terrain, and grow plants and trees? I've got some ideas for new lifeforms and flora that haven't been brought into existence yet."
Gaia's eyes lit up with excitement at the suggestion. The chance to craft something entirely new filled her with joy. "Of course, my love. Show me these ideas, and ''ll bring them to life."
Ender shared his ideas from both modern Earth and fantasy. Gaia eagerly set to work, her magic coursing through the land as ponds began to form, flowers burst to life, and trees stretched skyward, creating a lush, fantastical landscape.
Meanwhile, Ender teleported to Overworld to hone his powers of creation. The potential to 'play in creative mode,' as he jokingly thought, filled him with anticipation.
"This is going to be fun," he said with a grin, energy swirling around him as he prepared to test the limits of his power.
(Gaia, half-side story)
As Gaia was creating new life forms she felt two presences she was very familiar with.
She straightened, sighing as a humanoid figure bathed in holy light descended atop a fluffy cloud, while another figure, wreathed in frost, rode in atop a snarling ice dragon.
Gaia crossed her arms, tapping her foot. "Yahweh, Buri, I expected you to show up earlier. You both always manage to be fashionably late." Her voice carried the tone of an exasperated older sister, her divine patience wearing thin.
The glowing figure of Yahweh hesitated, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "I, uh… I was busy! Yes, busy choosing the perfect gift for you, sister!" He produced a bundle of radiant, glowing magical plants. They hummed with celestial energy, each blooms more intricate than the last.
Gaia raised an eyebrow. "Hmm, not bad. But I think there is more."
Yahweh grinned sheepishly, conjuring a sketchbook from thin air. "Yes… this! It's still a work in progress, but I'm designing these beings I call Angels. Look, they are going to be perfect! Here's one with six wings, another with four and they also have glowing halos." He flipped through the pages excitedly, showing off his half-finished, bizarre creations.
Gaia sighed. "You and your obsession with making perfect glowing things."
Then her gaze shifted to Buri, who was dismounting from his frost dragon with all the swagger of a man who didn't just get caught doing something suspicious. "Tiwaz," Gaia said, her tone dripping with mock sweetness, "you didn't get yourself stuck in ice again and needed the magic cow to unfreeze you this time, did you?"
Buri's confident grin froze, his cheeks tinged with embarrassment. "W-what? No! That was ages ago! I'm… I'm a respected god in ten realms now, thank you very much."
Gaia rolled her eyes. "Sure you are."
Buri cleared his throat loudly, trying to regain his composure. "Anyway! I brought you a gift too, dear sister!" He dramatically held up a small, ornate bottle. Inside, a flickering, otherworldly flame danced. "Behold! The Eternal Flame! Well, a piece of it but thought matters."
Gaia's eyes narrowed as she leaned in suspiciously. "The Eternal Flame… Did Surtur give this to you?"
Buri waved dismissively, clearly trying to sound casual. "Oh, of course, of course! He practically insisted when I mentioned it was for you! He was like, 'Buri, take this for your amazing sister! What a thoughtful gift!'"
Gaia's eyes bored into him. "Really? Surtur said that? Surtur, King of Muspelheim, gave you his Eternal Flame because he's just so generous?"
Just then the atmosphere around heated up as if someone spawned a sun nearby as Buri's face got pale.
"Where is my fire mead, Buri?" A booming and fiery voice was heard.
~~~~~
Early Chapter because you guys were generous with power stones.
I found out that Buri was an Elder God of Wisdom known as Tiwaz who froze on ice while standing, wtf?
So I decided to tweak a little, only few people know that Tiwaz and Buri are same rest think they are different. He also goes by a different name Utgard-Odin.
And we also get to see how babies are made, I hope I was close mythology.
Anyway last story was semi canon.
