Lu Zhanxing indeed received the invitation.

Xie Ying immediately relayed the good news to Lu Zhanxing, both anxious and delighted.

“The Qi Family’s charity gala invited you, the Qi Family, ah, the family where everyone is a distinguished talent of the nation.”

Although the gala was not open to the public, attending such a high-level event would be very helpful for Lu Zhanxing within the circle.

He had already inquired about the invited guests; all of them were top-tier big shots. Even getting familiar with their faces would be good.

Lu Zhanxing, however, was more concerned about another issue, “Why did they invite me?”

He was very much aware of his own status in the industry.

Xie Ying said uncertainly, “Maybe it’s because of the company?”

Lu Zhanxing let out a contemptuous snort, “Believe it or not, if the company finds out I’ve been invited to the gala, they’ll surely try to intercept me.”

His gaze fell on the handsome young man lounging on the couch, and he sighed softly.

The damn company is really blind. They suppress him at every turn just because Lu Zhanxing wouldn’t submit to them over a certain matter.

Xie Ying said, “The invitation came from Shenghuan Entertainment, and their new President is Qi Lu, the eldest grandson of the Qi Family. Maybe it has something to do with him.”

Lu Zhanxing frowned in thought.

Shenghuan Entertainment, formerly known as Huanqiu Entertainment, was one of the top three entertainment companies in the country.

Though they had slipped in recent years, a lean camel is still bigger than a horse; they held a significant position within the circle.

Just recently, they were acquired by Shengqiao Group.

Then they began investing in a series of movies, TV shows, variety shows, and partnerships with national stations…
